No Pearl-Clutching? Zero Outrage As White Guys Tom Arnold And Producer Mark Burnett Fight At “Prestigious” Emmy Party

Image via David Livingston/Getty Images/Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images Tom Arnold And Mark Burnett Fight At Emmy Party Last weekend the internet was in a respectability uproar as Cardi B and Nicki Minaj ‘s beef came to a head at New York Fashion Week during Haprer’s Bazaar Icon Ball. While some felt that the Onika earned the on-sight a$$-whoopin’ that Belcalis attempted to administer, others (including Onika) were aghast that such a fracas took place under the judge-y gaze of powerful caucasians . As if people always adhere to the highest decorum at these “prestigious” events. Well, one week later we have another incident of violence at a high-falutin’ Hollyweird shindig and we’ve seen not hide, nor hair of that criticism volleyed at the participants. According to TMZ , Tom Arnold and mega producer Mark Burnett got into a fight at a pre-Emmy party in which Arnold was allegedly choked by Burnett. There is still some discrepancy about who actually attacked who first, with Burnett’s wife claiming they were “ambushed” and Arnold claiming he was defending himself. For those who are wondering who the hell Mark Burnett is, he is the man who created The Apprentice and Donald Trump, like most of his “businesses” just put his name on it. Tom Arnold believes that Burnett is protecting Trump by hiding the alleged on-set recordings where Donnie uses the n-word and many other epithets. After their fight, the dust settled and those in attendance didn’t seem half as rattled at some of the folks screaming bloody murder that Cardi had become violent in the presence of those who are supposed to lead us…TO FREEDOM! Here I am with @TomArnold right after the fight with Mark Burnett tonight. Everyone in LA is shaken. Pre-Emmys Madness. Hold your loved ones tight. #ImWithHer pic.twitter.com/lTIuv9DBRc — billy eichner (@billyeichner) September 17, 2018 Funny how that works. The world didn’t stop spinning because celebs had a tiff.

Who They Want? Flip! Flip! Flip! Paul Manafort Enters Into “Cooperation Agreement” With Mueller Investigation Against Donald Trump

Image via Mark Wilson/Getty Images Paul Manafort Agrees To Cooperation Deal With Mueller Investigation Keep your friends close , and people you THINK are your friends closer. Donald Trump is going to have a hissy fit. His former campaign manager, Paul Manafort , has officially agreed to cooperate with Special Counsel Robert Mueller in his investigation agains the President for collusion and election tampering. BREAKING: Ex-Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort cuts 'cooperation agreement' ahead of 2nd trial, prosecutor says. — AP Politics (@AP_Politics) September 14, 2018 Manafort has already been convicted of several felonies in regards to tax evasion that would have resulted in a likely 8 to 10 year sentence. According to the Wall Street Journal , Manafort is set to admit that participated in conspiracy against the U.S. and conspiracy to obstruct justice. You can practically hear Trump screaming from here. Prior to the previous trial in Virginia, Manafort’s lawyer swore up and down that there would be no cooperation deal, but alas… Here’s what the Donnie previously said about Manafort: I feel very badly for Paul Manafort and his wonderful family. “Justice” took a 12 year old tax case, among other things, applied tremendous pressure on him and, unlike Michael Cohen, he refused to “break” – make up stories in order to get a “deal.” Such respect for a brave man! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 22, 2018 A large number of counts, ten, could not even be decided in the Paul Manafort case. Witch Hunt! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 22, 2018 Michael Cohen plead guilty to two counts of campaign finance violations that are not a crime. President Obama had a big campaign finance violation and it was easily settled! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 22, 2018 LMFAO! Donnie and janky Giuliani are gonna have a meltdown!

Kenya Barris Talks ABC Killing His Anti-Trump Episode Of “Black-ISH” And Calls Roseanne A “F***ing Monster”

Sami Drasin for The Hollywood Reporter Kenya Barris Reveals Why He Left ABC For Netflix Whew chile! Kenya Barris talked to The Hollywood Reporter and it might be one of the juiciest interviews we’ve read – like ever. Seriously. The drama is so real at ABC/Disney… We really wanted to cut and paste the WHOLE entire article but THR was generous enough to provide some key quotes. Much of the drama centers around ABC’s decision to shelve Barris’ episode about Trump, the NFL protests, and the Charlottesville attacks, but Barris also reveals his clashes with Disney exec Ben Sherwood, his thoughts on “monster” Roseanne Barr, and the anxiety of high expectations with a massive deal at Netflix: “I don’t know if it’s scary for Ryan and Shonda, but I’m fu**ing terrified.” Check out excerpts below via THR starting with all the drama over THAT infamous episode. Just for a better idea of what ABC opted to shelve, the episode centered around Johnson family patriarch Dre, played by Anthony Anderson, telling his infant son, Devante, a bedtime story that multiple sources described as a mixture of political allegory via an animated fairy tale about a character named The Shady King, and actual news footage of Donald Trump, the Charlottesville attacks and the NFL kneeling protests. “When you’re putting a baby to sleep, you’re trying to soothe whatever anxieties they’re having,” says Barris, speaking for the first time about the controversial episode. “So, this was about me trying to pat the butt of the country and soothe people.” The episode budget was increased beyond it’s usual $3 million or so cap to allow room for payments for rights and clearances for music and footage, including Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come,” which Barris personally met with Cooke’s goddaughter to secure. Barris hired a high-profile illustrator and Spike Lee contributed voiceover to the episode took its title (“Please, Baby Please”) and inspiration from a children’s book written by Lee and his wife. Sounds good right? Too bad we’ll never see it. What actually happened (THR Reporting): Executives at ABC, more than any other network, have been forthright about their desire for more red-state programming since Trump’s win — and with Barris’ latest episode, they feared they’d be alienating the very population they’d tried so hard to court. That Disney brass wouldn’t want to poke Trump himself just as the company was seeking Justice Department approval of its acquisition of most of 21st Century Fox is widely believed to have been a factor as well. Anthony Anderson, on ABC’s decision to pull the episode: “[Barris had] given his blood, sweat and tears to [the episode], which they had signed off on every step of the way — from the outline, to the script, to the table read, to the point where they actually spent the money and made the episode. And I don’t know what those conversations were, but we entered into this partnership with the understanding that we would be able to tell the stories that we wanted to tell.” Barris, on what went wrong: “I know there was some concern about partisanship; and the way the episode was angled and the balance in terms of some of the stories. On network TV, one of the things I’ve learned is that you have to talk about things from both sides.” Barris, on Bob Iger’s handling of the situation: “The boss doesn’t have to explain himself, but he explained enough — and he [did so] in a way that really gave light in a different way. And more than that, he spoke to me as a person.” Barris on Ben Sherwood, the man Iger put atop Disney’s TV assets: “The way that [Ben] chose to deal with me in this particular episode, I felt a way about it and I still do. He’d make it seem like it was an open environment but really it wasn’t, and those are things I see very clearly. Everyone wants to say it’s open arms, but just tell me it’s not and I’ll respect you more.” Barris, on why ABC & Barris mutually decided to scrap it after cuts: “What it ended up being, and I think the network would agree, was not a true representation of what we intended to do,” he says. “Because if it was, we would’ve shown it.” Welp… there you have it. Barry’s Back: Barack Obama Slams President Trump, GOP In Epic Speech

Source: Scott Olson / Getty Barack Obama can no longer hold the highest office in the land, but he still has the ability to inspire the nation as evidenced by a rousing speech he gave earlier Friday. While at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, the former commander-in-chief slammed President Donald Trump and the Republican Party in the most eloquent way possible. Politico reports : Laying out a brief history of America — starting with George Washington’s decision to step out of public life after leaving the presidency — Obama framed the 2018 elections as more significant than ever before. And for the first time since leaving office, he said Trump’s name. Obama unfurled a paragraph-by-paragraph condemnation of Trump, his presidency and what he has uncorked in American politics. “It did not start with Donald Trump. He is a symptom, not the cause,” Obama said to applause. “He’s just capitalizing on resentments that politicians have been fanning for years.” It’s not just about Trump, Obama said. It’s about Republicans “who know better in Congress … bending over backwards to shield” Trump. They’re hypocrites, he said, and they’re just as dangerous to America. At times mocking them and at times laying into them, Obama said they’ve abandoned all that they’re supposed to stand for as Republicans, and as citizens of this country. Andrew Gillum Fires Back At Trump-Supported Opponent Over FBI Investigation

T allahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum , the Democratic nominee for Florida governor, responded on Tuesday to criticism from his Trump-backed opponent about Gillum’s involvement in an FBI government corruption probe. Gillum said the FBI told him he’s not the focus of its investigation. The mayor noted that he’s cooperating fully with both agencies–unlike President Donald Trump and lawmakers like his GOP rival for governor, Rep. Ron DeSantis , who have tried to hobble the probe into possible collusion between the president’s campaign and the Russians. “Here in Florida, we’ve done everything we can to aid the agency, while Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump have done the exact opposite — demonizing the FBI and making the case that collusion is not a crime,” Gillum’s camp said, according to ABC News . In fact, they simply raise more questions about Gillum’s ongoing involvement,” a DeSantis spokesman said. Gillum’s connection to the investigation is reportedly centered on his relationship with local businessman and lobbyist Adam Corey , a college friend who at one time was Gillum’s campaign treasurer. Corey had reportedly set up meetings between undercover FBI agents, posing as land developers, and Tallahassee officials—including Mayor Gillum. While casting stones at Gillum, DeSantis has been actively trying to place hurdles in front of the government’s investigation of the president. Trump named DeSantis as one of his “ warriors” in Congress . One of DeSantis’ “warrior” moves happened in 2017 when the congressman unsuccessfully pushed for legislation to stop funding the Russia investigation. Kanye West Apologizes For Slavery Comment & Addresses Trump Friendship, Twitter Reacts

Kanye West headed home to Chicago to sit down with 107.5’s WGCI Morning Show today and while there he addressed a plethora of topics, including Trump , Drake and Pusha T ‘s beef, and even that unbelievable slavery was “a choice” comment. Earlier this month, ‘Ye seemed to have no idea how to respond when Jimmy Kimmel asked him what makes him think Donald Trump cares about black people—or, any people, for that matter. Now we finally got an answer. He said on the show, “I feel that [Trump] cares about the way black people feel about him, and he would like for black people to like him like they did when he was cool in the rap songs and all this. He will do the things that are necessary to make that happen because he’s got an ego like all the rest of us, and he wants to be the greatest president, and he knows that he can’t be the greatest president without the acceptance of the black community. So it’s something he’s gonna work towards, but we’re gonna have to speak to him.” As for his current relationship with Drake, Kanye said “It hits me in a really sensitive place…because you, like, hang around people and they come to your house and be around your family and this and that, and then they get mad about a beat and then send you purple demon emojis.” But it seems Kanye still has love for the rapper, who dissed him in the process of responding to Pusha T . “It ain’t no beef, ” he said, but he also adds, “I feel that it was insensitive for [Drake] to, in any way, stress me out in any way after TMZ, while I’m in Wyoming healing, pulling all the pieces together, working on my music. And you know, we’ll reconcile that one day because we got to, because we got work to do, and these voices is just too powerful.” He also swore he was not the person who told Pusha about Drake’s secret child . “Don’t pull me into that type of conversation,” Kanye said. “That’s what y’all don’t even understand. I’m ‘Ye, I got major things to do other than be telling him some information about Drake. I don’t sit around and do that. I honestly don’t care that much, in all honesty.” On another note, he finally apologized for his comment about slavery . “I have never really approached or addressed the slavery comment fully, and it’s not something for me to over-intellectualize,” he said to WGCI. “This is something about the fact that it hurt people’s feelings and the way that I presented that piece of information. I could present in a way more calm way, but I was ramped up. And I apologize. That happens sometimes when people are…I’m not blaming mental health, but I’m explaining mental health.” He added, “I don’t know if I properly apologized for how the slavery comment made people feel. I’m sorry for the one-two of the MAGA hat into the slavery comment. And I’m sorry for people who felt let down by that moment.” Watch the interview for yourself in the clips up top and hit the flip to see how folks are responding.
