For someone who really dislikes woman, Donald Trump sure gave a quality platform to a few of them during the first Presidential debate on Monday night and then again on Tuesday morning. After Hillary Clinton brought up former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, for example, Trump appeared on Fox and Friends today and slammed the beauty pageant winner for how much weight she gained. Really, this happened: Donald Trump on Alicia Machado: A HUGE Problem! Then there’s Katy Perry, who has gone ahead and gotten naked in honor of Voter Registration Day . But Trump once more gave the biggest platform to ongoing nemesis Rosie O’Donnell, responding to charges of sexism at the debate by referring back to his feud with the talk show host and saying she deserved all the vitriol that has come her way. “Hillary is hitting me with tremendous commercials,” the former Celebrity Apprentice host whined, adding: “Some of it said in entertainment, some of it said by somebody who’s been very vicious to me, Rosie O’Donnell. “I said very tough things to her and I think everybody would agree that she deserves it and nobody feels sorry for her.” Through the nauseating years, Trump has described O’Donnell as “dumb loser,” “disgusting,” and “a slob,” who has a “fat, ugly face.” Heck, he called her a “fat pig” in August of last year during a Republican debate: Donald Trump Slams Rosie O’Donnell as “Fat Pig”: WATCH! The obsession is pretty hilarious at this point. So, how did Rosie response to The Donald making her a national talking point once again? With a very simple Tweet. “HE WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT …” O’Donnell wrote in response to his latest takedown. About 15 minutes later, she branded Trump an “orange anus” in this equally awesome message, which linked to the 2006 segment on The View in which she originally slammed Trump. “the 5 mins orange anus can’t seem to get over — tell the truth – shame the donald #ImWithHer,” Rosie wrote. Speaking of being “with her,” Madonna then came out and made it clear that she stands firmly with her former League of Their Own co-star. We’re loving this message sent by The Material Girl: And Madonna wasn’t the only person on Twitter to be taken aback by Trump revisiting his hated of Rosie O’Donnell. In an interview with Wonderland Magazine, Swift acted all sweet and innocent and coy and said she never threw any shade in Swift’s direction . It was a pretty absurd declaration, which is why it was the main focus of most celebrity gossip outlets after excepts of the interview went viral. But we admit that we were among the outlets that appears to have buried the lead in this story, because Kim said something even more absurd and noteworthy to the publication: She may vote for Donald Trump in November. For real. For President of the United States. In August of 2015, Kardashin and Kanye West attend a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton at Scooter Braun’s home in Los Angeles. Kim snapped a selfie with the Democratic nominee at the time, Tweeted it to followers and wrote as a caption: “I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country! #HillaryForPresident.” Two months before to this meet, greet and promote, Kardashian was asked at a forum in San Francisco about Clinton possibly becoming the first female president of the United States, to which she replied: “I hope so!” But this is what Kim said to Wonderland for its latest cover story: “At first I thought, ‘Oh my god, I’m so Hillary,’ but I had a long political call with Caitlyn [Jenner] last night about why she’s voting Trump. “I’m on the fence.” Is Kim allowed to change her mind? Of course. Just because she was going to vote for Clinton before does not mean she can’t decide that Trump is actually the better candidate. We’re just curious: Which lie or which racist statement by Trump was the deciding factor here? As you might expect, the Internet has not reacted well to Kim’s pro-Trump stance. Or her semi-pro-Trump stance. Whatever you want to call it, the Internet has not reacted well to Kardashian giving any consideration whatsoever to Donald Trump as the most powerful man on the planet. And, as one astute user points out below, the truly troubling thing is this: Kim Kardashian actually does hold sway over millions of people. She gets them to buy her clothing. She gets them to watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online . She can make or break an entire company with a Tweet. It’s depressing, but true. Fortunately, however, we’d have to imagine (pray?) that most people who can be influenced by Kim Kardashian are under 18 years of age. Would you lose respect for Kardashian is she voted for Trump? Just when you thought the 2016 presidential election has reached peak absurdity, the cackling prankster gods currently pulling our candidates’ marionette strings blessed us with a mini-scandal like Pepe Gate. This isn’t something that we ever expected to type in an article about who Americans will choose to serve in the highest office in our land, but in order to understand today’s controversy, it’s important that you know who Pepe the Frog is: Odds are, you’re familiar with his face. You may have seen him on social media, crying in one of those posts you’re supposed to relate to, or grinning and saying something snarky in one of those posts that makes you question why you still use Facebook. But today, Pepe is everywhere for a different reason. It all goes back to Hillary Clinton’s recent comments about half of Trump supporters belonging in a “basket of deplorables” The meme above was recently posted on Instagram by Trump’s son, Donald Trump, Jr. As you can see, Pepe is a prominently featured member of “The Deplorables.” It may all seem harmless enough, as Pepe is commonly associated with trolling, which is really what the Trump campaign does best. But as the Clinton campaign pointed out today, there’s a sinister side to the seemingly innocent amphibian. The Clinton campaign posted a statement online today describing Trump’s use of Pepe as “horrifying,” noting that the frog has been adopted as a symbol by “white nationalists” and other groups that can best be described as … well, deplorable. “In recent months, Pepe’s been almost entirely co-opted by the white supremacists who call themselves the ‘alt-right,'” reads the statement from Clinton’s team. View Slideshow: 19 Things Donald Trump Has Actually Said While Running for President “They’ve decided to take back Pepe by adding swastikas and other symbols of anti-semitism and white supremacy.” Clinton’s website then quotes a “prominent white supremacist” who told the Daily Beast : “We basically mixed Pepe in with Nazi propaganda, etc. We built that association.” Given that the connection between Trump and white supremacists has already been an issue several times throughout this campaign, you’d think Trump would issue a statement distancing himself or Pepe, or at least that his son would delete the IG post. But no. In fact, Trump hasn’t even deleted his own social media Pepe posts: Naturally, his supporters have fired back, claiming that the Hillary campaign is using the Pepe issue to distract from questions about Clinton’s health that arose over the weekend following the revelation that the former secretary of state is suffering from pneumonia. Yes, a cartoon frog, the KKK, and Hillary’s lungs are all issues that have been widely discussed in connection with the campaign for the White House in recent weeks. If you had any remaining doubt that we’re in the midst of the most batsh-t presidential election in history, they should long gone by now.
