You may not be too familiar with actress Chloe Bennet unless you’re a big fan of the ABC show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but she recently did something that will probably make you remember her name. Her REAL name. According to PEOPLE , Chloe took to Instagram to sing effusive praise of Ed Skrein for resigning from his Hellboy role where he was to play a whitewashed Asian character. One fan commented that Chloe should STFU because she changed her OG surname to “Bennet” from “Wang”. Suffice to say, she was triggered and her reactionary thumbs went to work: “Changing my last name doesn’t change the fact that my BLOOD is half Chinese, that I lived in China, speak Mandarin, or that I was culturally raised both American and Chinese,” Bennet replied. “It means I had to pay my rent, and Hollywood is racist and wouldn’t cast me with a last name that made them uncomfortable,” she continued. “I’m doing everything I can, with the platform I have, to make sure no one has to change their name again, just so they can get work. Getty Images Tyler Perry Donates To Harvey Relief, Gives To Joel Osteen Tyler Perry released a video on his Facebook page announcing that he is donating $1 million to different efforts that go toward helping those affected by Hurricane Harvey. He explained that he was dispersing his money among different organizations, $250,000 going to Beyonce’s pastor, Rudy Rasmus, who founded the Houston non-profit Bread of Life. Another $250,000, he explained, he is giving to none other that Joel Osteen, then proceeded to defend the pastor whose been catching heat for his greedy ways all week. Perry defended his mans Joel and said he understands why he didn’t open the doors of the church for shelter immediately. He said about the incident, “I know there’s been some controversy about Joel Osteen and him not opening the doors of the church. Let me tell you something: Joel and Victoria are amazing people. There’s no way they would lock people out of the church and not let people in for shelter. There were some safety concerns…I’m sending $250,000 to Lakewood to make sure that they can get all of the supplies people need, and I know that they will. That’s the kind of person he is.” Oh no baby, what is you doing? Of course it’s a blessing to donate money to the victims of such a horrendously devastated area, but he could have found somewhere else to donate. Joel Osteen has been stumbling his way through interviews trying to defend his decision not to open the church until receiving backlash, but now he’s got Tyler Perry by his side to defend him. SMH.

Ray Manzarek Dies At 74 According to TMZ Ray Manzarek — who co-founded “The Doors” with Jim Morrison in 1965 and played keyboard — has died, this according to the band’s official Facebook page. Manzarek was 74. According to the website, Manzarek passed away today at the RoMed Clinic in Rosenheim, Germany after a lengthy battle with bile duct cancer. At the time of his death, Ray was surrounded by his wife Dorothy and his brothers Rick and James. Along with Jim … Ray and The Doors churned out some of the most iconic rock songs in history — including, “L.A. Woman,” “Break On Through to the Other Side,” “The End,” “Hello, I Love You,” and “Light My Fire.” Doors’ guitarist Robby Krieger released a statement saying, “I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my friend and bandmate Ray Manzarek.” He added, “I’m just glad to have been able to have played Doors songs with him for the last decade. On Friday the 3rd December 2010, my friend @abbie_biebs1D & I saw that Justin was doing a book singing for ‘First Step 2 Forever’ in London, which is 3 hours away from where I live. We automatically started crying, screaming and nearly stopped breathing. When Abbie rang me to tell me he was going to be doing a book signing, I rang my mom screaming, telling her Justin was doing a book signing and I needed to go. She was unsure because of financial problems but she let us book the tickets anyway. When Abbie went to book them, the tickets were sold out. My heart actually sunk into my stomach, I really didn’t know what to do. But then we saw a man on Twitter who posted a link saying there were a few more tickets been released, and when Abbie clicked on them, SHE GOT THEM! We got the last two tickets! But there was one problem, how were we going to get down to London? My mom and brother then booked us the coach tickets and everything, we were so, so, so excited! We were finally meeting the our inspiration! The day of, I couldn’t control my excitement! It was 4pm and the security got us to stand up because they were opening the doors. This is were the excitement kicked in even more. I was so scared just in case he didn’t like me, but I thought, he won’t remember me anyways. As we walked through the doors, they put a wristband on us, ours was silver, and we had to wait until our colour got called. Finally ours got called and I ran so fast to que up. The woman told me to calm down or I wasn’t going up! Then once everyone was there, she took us upstairs. As I walked up and walked through the door, I could see Kenny. I was like OMFG! Then Kenny moved out the way and I could see Justin, that was it, I was gone. I was dead. He looked so beautiful. It finally got to the stage where the woman told us it was our turn to go have our photo. Justin saw me freaking out and was laughing. I ran straight up to him and he had his arms out open for me to hug him. I hugged him for more than 5 seconds, I didn’t want to let go at all. After I hugged him, he went “Hey, you okay babe?” Surprisingly, I didn’t faint, I managed to reply back to him. I said, “Yeah I’m good thanks, you?” & he was like “Yeah I’m fine” and then he put his arm around my waist and pulled Abbie in because she was freaking out so bad, Kenny had to calm her down. He said “Smile girls” and we had our photo taken. Just before we took the photo, I asked him if he was real and he laughed and replied, “Of course I am”. I was thinking to myself, what did I just ask him?! After the photo he said bye girls and we shouted BYE JUSTIN! It was the best moment of my whole entire life. I’ve sent this experience to just say Justin, if you ever see this, I want to thank you so much for doing that book signing, doing the meet & greet, it was amazing, you’re my inspiration, always have been and always will be! I love you! Then on March 5th, I also met Kenny Hamilton after the My World Tour in Birmingham outside Justin’s hotel. On November 7th, I then went to watch Justin switch on the lights at West Field. All of this travelling, camping, crying, fan-girling, supporting etc is so totally worth it, and if I could, I’d do it over and over and over and over again. My love and support will never ever stop for him, my love will continue to grow and so will my support.
