His mixtape … Man Pulled Over By Cops Gives Them His Mixtape A Florida man who was stopped by the cops raised eyebrows after authorities say he declined to give them his license—and passed them his mixtape instead. The Sun Sentinel reports: After being pulled over on suspicion of reckless driving in front of a Delray Beach high school, police officers asked for Volvique Louis Jean Jr.’s driver’s license. Instead, police said, he pulled out something else with his name on it — his homemade rap CD. Jean Jr., 18, was arrested on Wednesday by the Palm Beach County School District Police. Police said Jean Jr. pulled up to Atlantic Community High School in Delray Beach just before 3 p.m. on Oct. 28 along with two other cars. They sped into the school’s bus loop, narrowly missing students being dismissed from school, police said. Officers in a golf cart followed the cars, pulled into the center of the road and forced the three cars to stop. When they walked up to Jean Jr.’s car, they asked him for his driver’s license. He pulled out his new CD. One of the other people in another car yelled out to the officer that they were just at the school to pick up a friend. According to the arrest report, the officers said they recognized some of the people in the cars — including Jean Jr. — as former students. The cars peeled out into the road and fled the scene, almost hitting more students as they left, according to the arrest report. Jean Jr. is charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license and trespassing on school grounds. It’s been less than a month since Teresa Giudice was released from prison, and it looks like she came dangerously close to going back. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who is on (obviously lenient) house arrest and probation, attended a red carpet event Thursday evening and was trying to rush home Cinderella-style to make her 10 p.m. curfew, according to TMZ. But instead of a pumpkin-turned-stagecoach, she took an Uber. She reportedly instructed the driver to step on the gas , which resulted in the car getting pulled over by the po-po. As the officer was talking to the driver, Teresa interrupted and explained that she was the one who asked the driver to speed it up. Lucky for her, the officer was feeling generous, or maybe he was a fan, because he let them off. The cop evidently recognized her and decided she’d had a tough enough year already. PHEW! Uber driver gets to keep his job and Teresa remains a (sort of) free woman. The Housewife must be breathing a sigh of relief, because even though she may have had it easier than the rest of the prison inmates , she still had a rough go of it in the big house. Maybe this close call was enough to give her a newfound appreciation of that tracking bracelet on her ankle . One thing’s for sure: she better damn well have given that Uber driver a five star rating.
Uber Driver Leaves Pregnant Woman Stranded Uber is supposed to be a more accepting, discrimination free riding service …but one NYC driver saw a pregnant woman on her way to give birth, and didn’t want to risk incurring a cleaning bill should she get all her labor fluids all over his car. Via Fortune : Instead of taking David Lee and his wife to the hospital, the Uber driver balked because the expectant mother retched on the sidewalk. He informed them he would lose $1,000 a day if Lee’s wife became sick in the car and, what’s more, told them no other driver would accept a woman in labor as a passenger. The birthing coach explained to the driver that Lee’s wife would not be sick again, and the couple pleaded with the driver, assuring him they would pay for any cleaning for his car. Please, just take us to the hospital, they said. But the driver would not budge. Instead, he drove away – but not before charging them $13 for his lost time. Lee and his wife in labor, along with the birthing coach, were left standing on a Manhattan sidewalk. SMH! Thankfully the next uber that came along happily took them to the hospital, and after several complaints to the company, the family was finally refunded their $13. However, the company never apologized or helped the couple identify their driver to make a more formal complaint…

Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes Through Delaware State University Homecoming A man believed to be under the influence of alcohol was arrested this weekend after he injured 7 people, one critically, at Delaware State University’s homecoming festivities. Police report that Gregory Ligon drove a Mercedes Benz through the school’s yard and pinned a woman against a tree after trying to stop it from going into reverse. Delaware State News reports: A woman was critically injured and six others injured when a car crashed into a crowd of people gathered on the Delaware State University campus Saturday evening, according to Dover Police. The remaining homecoming activities planned for the evening were canceled, police said in a Sunday morning news release. Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Dover Police public information officer, said the incident occurred at approximately 7:28 p.m., when Gregory Ligon, 28, of Mitchellville, Maryland, was driving a Mercedes Benz sedan in the area of the fraternity picnic area. Police said Mr. Ligon attempted to park his vehicle in the area and exited it once he did so, forgetting the vehicle was still in reverse. According to police, Mr. Ligon returned to the driver’s seat to stop the vehicle, but allegedly pushed the gas pedal instead of the brake. The vehicle accelerated over a curb and across a grassy area full of people. Police said the driver side door was open. Police said the vehicle struck seven people. The most serious of the injuries occurred when the driver door hit a 21-year-old female and pinned her against a tree. This victim was later flown to Christiana Hospital with major injuries. Police said the vehicle then continued as the driver door broke off, until it struck another tree and came to a stop. At that time Mr. Ligon was removed from the vehicle by several bystanders. Police said Mr. Ligon was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and will be charged with the following crimes:first-degree vehicular assault, six charges of second-degree vehicular assault, DU, and no proof of insurance. This is so scary. Don’t drink and drive folks, it’s just not worth it.
