Houston Students Killed In Bus Crash Two Houston families are in mourning after their children were killed when a bus plunged from Loop 610. In addition to the two fatalities, authorities report that two other students were injured when bus driver Luisia Pacheo”overcorrected” her steering to avoid a car. The Houston Chronicle reports: Two students died and two others were hurt along with their bus driver Tuesday morning when a collision caused a school bus to plunge from Loop 610 in southeast Houston, officials said. The bus landed on the eastbound frontage road of the South Loop near Telephone Road about 7 a.m., Houston police said. The dead students were identified as a 14-year-old Furr High School freshman Janiecia Chatman and Mariya Johnson, a 17-year-old student at REACH charter school, a dropout recovery school on the Furr campus. The freshman died at a hospital and the older student at the scene. The other two students, both who attend REACH, had serious injuries, officials said. An HISD official identified one of the injured students as Lakeshia Williams; the other was her twin brother, Brandon. The bus driver was identified as Luisa Pacheco, was taken to Ben Taub Hospital. She had non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. As police continue their investigation, Houston Police Department spokesman Victor Senties said the driver of a Buick LaSabre told investigators she thought another vehicle near her was drifting into her lane. She veered away and hit the side of the bus. Pacheco apparently over-corrected and the bus careened from the overpass, Senties added. So sad, condolences to those families. Ohio trooper Bryan Lee can be seen openly flirting with a driver whom he pulled over for allegedly cutting him off, on dash cam footage that cost him his job. A random spot check of traffic stop dash cam footage led to an investigation after Lee’s supervisors saw how he handled the women during the stop. The footage shows the former trooper openly flirting with the driver and her passenger, and then letting the driver go after she seemed to have not fully passed the field sobriety test. The dash cam also shows the passenger getting in Lee’s car before it shuts off, and the woman told investigators that the trooper took a photo of her breasts. She added that Lee added her on Facebook the following day and continued to message her for two months, which the woman said she found “creepy.” Lee, a married father of three children, is now serving 60-months in federal prison.
Florida Man Tries To Carjack Unmarked Cop Car A knife-wielding Florida man who attempted a carjacking Thursday night quickly discovered that the vehicle he targeted was an undercover cop car occupied by a pair of armed plainclothes detectives, according to an arrest affidavit. Via The Smoking Gun : Dominique Albert, 27, allegedly approached the car on a St. Petersburg street around 9:45 PM and yanked open the passenger door. Albert, pictured at right, leaned into the auto while holding a steak knife in his right hand. While Albert’s would-be victims were initially startled by the interloper, they quickly rallied. “Police!,” shouted Detective Daniel Torok from the driver’s seat as he drew his handgun and leveled it at Albert, who “turned and fled on foot.” Torok and his partner then chased after Albert, who dropped his knife during the pursuit. When the cops caught up with Albert, he “fought Police with violence, but was finally taken into custody after a lengthy fight.” Albert, who allegedly continued to struggle after being handcuffed, stopped resisting after a backup officer “deployed his Taser.” A search of Albert turned up two other “large, fixed blade knives,” police reported. Charged with carjacking, resisting arrest, and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, all felonies, Albert is locked up on $170,000 bond. At the time of the alleged carjacking, the hapless Albert was free on bond in connection with an arrest last month for shoplifting at a Walmart store. Welcome to Florida!!!!!

According to TMZ reports : Warren Sapp has just been charged with 3 counts of domestic violence stemming from an incident in Las Vegas … where officials say he bit and stomped on his girlfriend’s head … TMZ Sports has learned. According to official documents obtained by TMZ Sports … Sapp attacked his longtime girlfriend Chalyce Moore on April 28th at the M Resort in Las Vegas. According to the police report, the two had been arguing … and Sapp allegedly threw a margarita in her face in their private cabana by the pool. Sapp allegedly grabbed Chalyce by the arm or purse and violently pulled on her … nearly taking her down to the ground. The couple left the resort together in a car — heading toward Chalyce’s condo. During the car ride, the Chalyce says she got sick of arguing and told Sapp to get out of the car … but he responded by BITING HER MIDDLE FINGER. At one point, Sapp got out of the car and asked another driver for a ride. The driver denied his request. Type of grown azz man bites a woman’s finger???? According to the docs, they got back in the car together and eventually got to the condo — where the violence continued. Once inside, Sapp allegedly threw a belt at her … and she threw it back at him … and during the altercation, she ended up on the floor. While she was down, Chalyce claims Sapp stepped on her face while wearing white Jordan sandals. Cops say they went to the M Resort and watched security footage that backed up her story. They now have that video. Chalyce’s friend told police that Sapp’s GF has sustained multiple injuries — including a bruise on her lower lip, abrasions and bruises on her shoulders, bruising on her legs, and a bruise on one of her temples with a checkerboard imprint (presumably from Sapp’s Jordan sandals).
