Berlinale Dispatch: The Taviani Brothers — Who? — Return with a Great Shakespeare-in-Prison Movie

There were many happy faces among critics on Saturday, the third day of the Berlinale. Because despite what I wrote yesterday about the criticism the festival has faced in recent years, particularly in terms of the films chosen for competition, nearly everyone I’ve spoken to thinks this year’s festival is off to a promising start. Of the six competition films that have been screened so far, not one has set any of my random sampling of critic friends howling with derision, or walking around wearing a perpetual scowly-frowny face. When the festival lineup was announced, friends who had to write pregame assessments had a hard time finding even one or two movies that, sight unseen, had the potential to stand out. But on the strength of what we’ve seen so far, it appears that the best of this festival, whatever that might be, will again come from left field, as it did last year with Asghar Farhadi’s A Separation . Not every edition of every festival starts out that way, with a sense of adventure and anticipation. Don’t quote me yet, but we may be onto something special here. We can attribute part of the buoyant mood to the reception of the screening of Paolo and Vittorio Taviani’s Caesar Must Die on Saturday morning. In the late 1970s and early 1980s the Taviani Brothers rode high, on an internationally cresting wave, with pictures like Padre Padrone and The Night of the Shooting Stars . But in recent years, mentioning their name would be likely to elicit a blank stare or a “Taviani Who?” Even though the brothers have been steadily making films in Italy since then, they’ve dropped off the map in the United States, and even at home their profile hasn’t exactly been blazing. But Caesar Must Die may reignite the fortunes of this octogenarian directing team. The picture is stark and alive in its simplicity; rendered mostly in black-and-white, it’s gorgeous to look at — you could practically use it as an illustrated textbook on framing and composition. Caesar Must Die is a sort-of documentary that tells the story of a group of prison inmates — incarcerated at Rome’s maximum security Rebibbia — who mount a production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. Footage from the actual performance frames the picture: In the opening scene, we see a bunch of stubbly, rough-looking guys, wearing simple, stylized costumes that give the whole affair the aura of a children’s holiday pageant, doing some pretty interesting things with Shakespeare’s language. Not all of those things are, in the strict sense, good. But even the “bad” actors among this bunch — and remember, they’re not just nonprofessionals but convicted criminals, for Christ’s sake — contribute to the intense, quiet power of the final work. Most of Caesar Must Die is devoted to watching these men work their way through the material during rehearsal, learning its ins and outs, its dips and dives, and teasing out nuances and details that mean something to them. Sometimes the Tavianis draw the parallels between art and life a little too starkly. We don’t really need to hear the inmates reflecting on how Julius Caesar speaks to them when we can see how, in their proto-method-acting way, they bring every scrap of their experience to rehearsal: They touch each other warily but tenderly; when it’s time for a character to draw a knife, you can tell the actors respect it as both a weapon and a symbol, even though it’s presumably made out of plastic. You can bet these guys know a lot about duplicity and betrayal and power struggles, and they bring all of that to bear as they tangle with this challenging material, and with each other. The most wonderful sequence in this overall very fine picture may be the montage of the actors’ auditions, as they meet with the play’s director – a professional brought in from the outside – and try to impress him with their swagger and capacity for pathos. Many of them have both in spades. Some are awkwardly touching; others come off like they’ve spent too much time channeling Robert De Niro; and some are simply naturals, able to summon that deep-rooted whatever-it-is that makes magic happen in live performance. The picture also features a lovely, haunting Bernard Herrmann-inflected score — in places I could hear shadows of Taxi Driver . When Caesar Must Die eventually shows up in American theaters — and it will — it’s going to be easy as pie for marketing people to sell: An uplifting story about prison dudes finding meaning in art can pretty much sell itself. But even though that line essentially describes what happens in Caesar Must Die , it doesn’t come close to capturing the simultaneously joyous and mournful resonance of the picture. Caesar Must Die is really just about the way art lives on through people, sometimes in unlikely ways. There’s no way to keep it behind bars. Saturday’s press screening of Barbara, from German director Christian Petzold, didn’t draw the same kind of rapturous audience affection that Caesar Must Die did. But then, it’s a very different type of movie. In Barbara , a beautiful but rather blank-faced young doctor – played by the superb German actress Nina Hoss — arrives in a small East German town to take a new job at a tiny hospital. She doesn’t seem too happy to be there, though clearly the doc in charge – Ronald Zehrfeld, who somewhat resembles Brendan Fraser and is equally charming — takes an immediate shine to her. It’s 1980, as the movie’s press notes tell us, though if you go in cold, you probably won’t be able to immediately discern when and where the action is taking place. That’s probably intentional, and the approach works. This isn’t The Lives of Others, where the East-West divide is practically a major character; instead, it’s just a story about people living in constrained (and at times dangerous) circumstances and yearning for something more. Barbara is a drama and a romance, and it’s also laced with dry, delicate humor. There were times when the German members of the audience would laugh at a joke that I couldn’t quite get, and yet Petzold — the director behind the 2007 drama Yella, also featuring Hoss — is such a master of tone and mood that I could feel the vibrations of the movie’s subtle humor, even if I’d be hard-pressed to articulate it. Barbara starts out slow and then moves even slower — but by the end, somehow, it got me in its gentle clutches. Follow Stephanie Zacharek on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .

Slizzard Idiot Popped For Doing Donuts In Parking Lot Of Michigan Police Post, Attempts To Drive Away, Gets Stuck, And Passes Out

And to top it all off this stupid a$$clown still had the car in “Drive”!! A Cedar Springs man was arrested after being found drunk and sleeping on the front lawn of a Michigan State Police post Sunday morning. At 5:30 a.m. Sunday, as troopers arrived for duty at MSP’s Cadillac post, they found that someone had been doing doughnuts in the snow in the post’s parking lot and then attempted to drive across the front lawn where it became stuck in the snow. The vehicle — a 2005 Saturn Vue — was still running and the transmission was in “Drive” while the driver — a 20-year-old Cedar Springs man — was still inside and appeared to be passed out sleeping. Troopers banged on the vehicle’s window for an extended period of time before the driver finally awakened. After he opened the door and put the vehicle in “Park,” troopers conducted a drunken driving investigation and subsequently arrested the 20-year-old Cedar Springs man for operating while intoxicated. Man, it’s 2012 people…no excuse for doing idiotic ish like this. None whatsoever!!!! Source More On Bossip! ‘Hunger Games’ And Beauty: Grading The Alliance

In the latest Hobnobbing, we ask experts about Lionsgate’s style-centric marketing efforts. By Amy Wilkinson Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket on Capitol Couture Photo: Capitol Couture “The Hunger Games is the most public, prestigious event of the year in Panem. Cleanliness, dress and comportment offer an opportunity to affirm District pride and Capitol loyalty.” This according to teal-tressed Panem talk-show host Caesar Flickerman, whose sound bite appears on the new “Hunger Games” Tumblr Capitol Couture , which saw its soft launch Wednesday. (Use the password “#lookyourbest” to login.) The site is touted as the “one place to turn for all the tips, tricks and trends you need to look your best” and features a fresh image of Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) flaunting her trademark, flamboyant style — purple lips, pink hair and all. And though the page is a bit barren at the moment, we expect it to brim with fanciful headlines like “Cinna’s 10 Tips for Fiery Eyes” and “Effie’s Favorite Capitol Colour” very soon. Of course, District 12’s tight-lipped mentor isn’t just the face of the new Web property; she’s also the “spokeswoman” for the aforementioned Capitol Colours, a new line of District-themed nail polishes launched by China Glaze , and yet another entry in Lionsgate’s style-centric marketing campaign, which has raised a few eyebrows (perfectly plucked and otherwise) among ardent fans. At first blush, it seems a bit of an odd pairing, considering we are talking about a book series focusing on teens fighting to the death in front of a live television audience. Who cares about your manicure when you may die tomorrow from a tracker jacker sting? Not to mention, the story’s protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, is more than a little cynical of the Capitol’s lust for beauty and perfection. As such, we decided to check in with a few “Hunger Games” fans/experts to see what they think of Lionsgate’s sleek campaign. “I’ll admit to being a little confused at first,” said The Hob admin Michelle Andreani. “It did seem to feed into the book’s criticism of superficiality and elitism, and after reading about Katniss struggling in District 12, it’s hard to find the Capitol’s luxury, well, luxurious. But that doesn’t make the Capitol’s citizens, and especially their fashion, any less intriguing. And taking a deeper look into that world is sure to be very cool. So, as the marketing campaign starts unfolding, I’m totally onboard. After all, you can look great and still have heart. Cinna and Effie prove that much, right?” “Hunger Games” Examiner ‘s Sara Gundell agreed, noting that other campaigns have used seemingly incongruous advertising efforts to positive effect. “I know some fans have complained that it doesn’t fit with the book’s message or Katniss’ feelings on the lavish style of the Capitol. However, a marketing campaign for the movies isn’t about conveying the film’s message (we wouldn’t have bounties of toys and merchandise available for ‘WALL-E’ if that were the case). It’s about promoting the movie and selling tickets. The folks at Lionsgate are doing their job, and they’re being very clever and creative about it.” And even though he doesn’t wear brightly hued lacquers himself, Hunger Games Fireside Chat host Adam Spunberg said he can see the logic in appealing to the pretty side of things. “As Frances Burney said in the novel ‘Evelina’: ‘It has been long and justly remarked, that folly has ever sought alliance with beauty.’ I can really relate to Katniss here, since she and I have about the same interest in nail polish, Capitol Couture and all the rest (my kind of girl),” he said. “Still, we have to realize that the people seeing this movie are not fashion-deprived District 12 citizens or cosmetically inept people like me. In actuality, it’s a bunch of nice fans from the Capitol dressing up, wearing makeup and eating popcorn, which makes this marketing strategy anything but folly!” What do you think about the style-centric marketing for “The Hunger Games”? ‘Hunger Games’ Looking Fierce In Movie Brawl Elite Eight

What’s your pick for the must-see movie of 2012? Cast your vote now! By Eric Ditzian Jennifer Lawrence in “Hunger Games” Tim Tebow ain’t got nothing on the MTV Movie Brawl 2012 . Sure, the granter of all-American dreams and thrower of game-winning touchdowns showed some playoff heroics last weekend, but the action in MTV’s cinematic tournament had movie groupies alternately sweating, cursing and celebrating just as much as Denver Bronco fans. To wit, two of Robert Pattinson ‘s upcoming films, “Bel Ami” and “Cosmopolis,” faced off in a Sweet Sixteen matchup that was decided by three votes. Tens of thousands of votes were cast, and three clicks launched “Cosmopolis” to victory. On the other side of the bracket, #7 seed “The Woman in Black,” an indie horror flick, looked like it didn’t have a chance against Universal’s big-budget “Snow White and the Huntsman.” But Daniel Radcliffe fans came out in force to support the boy wizard’s first post-“Harry Potter” flick, showing up Kristen Stewart devotees with a healthy serving of get the hell out of this tournament! When the final tally came in, more than 250,000 votes had been cast, and KStew’s fairy tale was headed home with a lot of explaining to do. Vote For Your Favorite Upcoming Flick In MTV’s Movie Brawl 2012! As least she’s still alive in the Brawl, as “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” came through with a commanding victory over “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace,” despite the nefarious meddling of “Hunger Games” fans, who were furiously voting for “Phantom Menace” in an attempt to send the vampires to a humiliating defeat. It didn’t work. “HG” fans, though, weren’t the only ones trying to pull off a bit of bracket-based strategery . “Breaking Dawn” voters came out in force to support “Prometheus” in its fight with “Hunger Games.” Once again, the gambit didn’t work. But it showed just how merciless this competition is going to be as we inch toward the finals. Let’s take a look at where we stand as the Elite Eight kicks into high gear. Upper West Region It’s all Pattinson, all the time, as “Breaking Dawn” faces off against “Cosmopolis.” The key question here for Twi-fans is whether they’re going to vote for RPattz as he’s been or RPattz as he’s going to be. Will it be out with the old and in with the new, or will the sparkly vampires reign supreme? If you ask us, “Breaking Dawn” ain’t going nowhere, but this tourney isn’t up to us. Lower West Region It’s getting dark up in here! “The Dark Knight Rises” limped into the Sweet Sixteen after a disappointing first-round showing, and we were fearful Christopher Nolan’s film would face an early ouster at the hands of “Marvel’s The Avengers.” That didn’t happen, and now “Dark Knight” faces a weakened “Dark Shadows” in the Elite Eight. Johnny Depp’s upcoming film surprised us all with an outstanding opening-round performance, leading to a #2 seed. But “Shadows” struggled in its matchup, needing up until the final hours of play to put the match away. Momentum is everything in the playoffs, so we have to say “Dark Knight” is in the driver’s seat in this game. Upper East Region Were it not for the savvy scheming of “Twilight” fans, “Hunger Games” might have walked away from the Sweet Sixteen with the greatest margin of victory in the entire tournament. As it stands, “HG” heads into the Elite Eight with perhaps the easiest matchup of all. “John Carter” and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” fought back and forth for days, with leads changing hands and the ultimate victor too close to call until an eleventh-hour surge sent “G.I. Joe” ahead. That leaves us wondering if the sequel has enough left in the gas tank to pull off a win. Actually, we’re not wondering at all: shut off the lights and put the kids to bed: “Hunger Games” has this in the bag. Lower East Region Voters in this region are still reeling from the unexpected departure of “Snow White.” There’s no time to rest, though. “Woman in Black” has established itself as a dark horse in the Brawl — one that could threaten “Hunger Games” in the Final Four. Before then, however, Radcliffe’s flick will have to battle a resurgent “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.” Peter Jackson’s film waged a hard-fought war with Emma Watson’s “Perks of Being a Wallflower” and came out with a narrow 3 percent victory. That’s some impressive stuff. Can “Hobbit” keep it going? Is there anything that can keep “Woman in Black” from a trip to the Final Four? We’ve got until January 16 to decide. That’s when voting in the Elite Eight ends. There are no excuses in the Movie Brawl. Get busy voting! What are you waiting for? Your must-see movie needs your support. It’s time to show character, poise and heart. Vote for your picks now at MTV Movie Brawl 2012! Related Videos MTV Movie Brawl 2012! Talk Nerdy To Me

My name is Sarah, I’m 16 years old from Canada and my…

My name is Sarah, I’m 16 years old from Canada and my Bieber experience was on December 21st at the “Home For the Holidays” concert in Toronto, ON. This isn’t a story about meeting Justin, but it was my first time ever seeing him in concert, which was an experience good enough for me. I get Justin’s tweets sent to my phone and a few weeks or so before the concert Justin announced on his Twitter that he was having something special planned for Canada. The second I read that tweet I started crying because I could possibly have the chance to see him in person. He didn’t announce where, when or any details, but knowing he was coming was good enough for me. That day at school I couldn’t concentrate because I kept day-dreaming about possibly seeing him. About a week after that Much tweeted that he would be coming to Toronto (where I live) but they weren’t giving any details about this “secret” concert. My dreams were a little crushed but I kept Beliebing. A couple days after that Much tweeted again that they would be announcing how to get tickets. I started freaking out and called my best friend who already knew about the concert, and we started planning how to get tickets and got really excited about the possibility of going. They finally said that tickets would go on sale on Sunday at 4pm on the Saturday before. I had a really bad flu (so I should’ve slept pretty easily that night) but I woke up every hour because I was so nervous about not getting tickets. At around 3:45pm on Sunday my Dad, Mom, Brother and I set up seven computers in the kitchen to try and get through to get tickets. Not a single computer at my house got through, but luckily one of the ones at my best friends house did and we got tickets in the balcony that were 5th row. I was so happy I cried my eyes out. Every night until the concert I couldn’t sleep because of my excitement. The night before my mom had to give me sleeping pills because she knew I’d be up all night if I didn’t take them. The day finally came and school went by extremely slowly. After school my best friends mom picked me up and we went to her house to get ready. We wore JB santa hats, shirts, tattoos and bracelets. The car ride down was pretty fast and we went out for dinner after picking up the tickets. After dinner we went into the line up to get into Massey Hall and met some other Beliebers, then shortly went inside to find our seats. They were an amazing view and right beside the stage. I couldn’t believe I was going to be so close to him. We then went and bought some of his merchandise and made our way back to our seats to wait for him. 45 minutes after the concert was supposed to start, Scooter came on stage saying that he was running a bit late but would be on shortly. I asked one of the security guards how long the concert would be so I could tell my dad when to get us, and she said about an hour. Finally Justin came on stage and sang “Baby” I cried and sobbed the entire song because I couldn’t believe I was seeing him with my own two eyes. The concert ended up being two hours long, and Justin was asked to finish off multiple times, and he would respond with things like “I’m not done yet, Elf. You guys want another song right?” . The concert was so special because no one else would be able to see one like this and he even picked people in the audience to choose what song he would sing next. It was honestly the best night of my life. I got home and didn’t go to sleep until about 2am because I was still in shock from seeing him. It was the best day of my entire life and I am so thankful I was one of the lucky fans to get tickets. I will never forget this day, and will never give up on my dream of meeting him. Justin taught me to “believe” and “never say never” which I have been doing, and which have helped my dreams come true.  Thank you so much Justin for this amazing experience.  I hope to see you on your Believe tour this year. – @sarahluvsjus10 Read more from the original source: My name is Sarah, I’m 16 years old from Canada and my…

I went to Selena and Justin’s hotel around 9:30 in the…

I went to Selena and Justin’s hotel around 9:30 in the morning to try and meet them . When I got there, there was about 15 people already there. We waited about an hour and Logan Henderson from Big Time Rush came out and we took pictures with him. About an hour later, we walked to the back of the hotel and we saw Selena’s driver there. He told us Selena would be out in 10 minutes and if we waited there, we would meet her. We waited and about 20 minutes later her security guard came out and told us Selena wasn’t feeling well and that she was going to go out the garage and she wasn’t meeting any fans. The car pulled into the garage and Selena got in and we saw her sitting in the backseat. She waved to us and the car pulled away. We wanted to meet her so bad so we just got in a cab and we went to the restaurant she was at. When we got there, she was just walking into the restaurant so we jumped out of the cab and called her name and she came right over to us. She was so sweet! She told us she wasn’t feeling well and she asked if we could do a group picture so her security guard took the camera and took the picture. We decided to go back to the hotel to try and meet Justin and when we got back there, there were still like 15 people. We went to the back of the hotel because we figured that’s where he would come out too. We waited there for like 20 minutes and then Selena’s car pulled up. She came over to us when she got out of the car and she remembered us from the restaurant and she was just so nice! She was like “Oh hey you guys! Nice to see you again!” We took another group picture and she was so cute! I asked for a hug and she gave me one and then she went inside. We then left the hotel for a little while and we decided to go get some lunch. After lunch we went back to the back of the hotel and we saw no sign of Justin or Selena. We decided to walk to the front and when we got there we saw Justin’s car out front. We talked to the driver and he was so nice to us! He told us when Justin and Selena were coming out and everything . We waited about a half hour and then another car pulled up and Justin’s dad was in the car. We waited about 10 more minutes and then Justin and Selena walked out of the hotel. When Justin came out he was eating a brownie and then he handed it to his security guard and was just like “Here can you hold this?”. I went to Justin first and he was really nice! He asked me how I was and then we took a picture. It was so awkward because my friend couldn’t get my camera to work and Justin and I were just like standing there and he had his hand on my back. After my friend still couldn’t figure out how to work my camera Justin goes, “Just hold the button down. It will work,” and then of course she listened to him and it worked! I was still standing next to him and he just goes, “Where’s my girlfriend?”. After that I saw Selena just standing there so I asked her for another picture because I really wanted a picture of just me and her and she was like, “Of course! Come over here!” and then we took a picture. After that my friend asked Selena for a picture and she asked me to take it. I held up my camera to take the picture and out of no where Justin comes up behind me and just like puts his head on my shoulder and is just like looking at Selena. I was about to take the picture and Justin’s like, “You got it?” and I said “Yes” . After I took the picture they both got in the car and they drove away. My friends decided to leave and as we’re walking, we saw Selena and Justin in the backseat of the car parked in front of a pizza place eating pizza and kissing. It was so cute and it was so random that we ran into them again! We didn’t want to bother them though so we didn’t ask for pictures or autographs and then we just decided to leave and go home. – @ xBelieveInMex Continued here: I went to Selena and Justin’s hotel around 9:30 in the…

The first time I met Justin was September 13, 2009 when he was presenting at the VMAs in NYC. He came out of Radio City after rehearsals. My friend and I chased after his car and they parked his car on the side of the street, rolled down his window and took pictures with us ! I met him at the z100 Jingle Ball 2009. I camped out for 18 hours and my friend and I were the first ones there. The people from z100 knew we camped out so they gave us meet and greets. We had to take a group picture so Justin was like 2 girls away from me. The next time I met Justin was when he did David Letterman in 2010 . When he arrived, he just signed autographs but when he came back out, he took pictures with everyone, including me. I camped out for Jingle Ball again and I won meet and greets with him, this time I got a picture right next to him. The next time I got a picture with Justin was couple days ago. My friend and I went to his hotel and there was no one there. We were waiting for a few hours, then a lot of people were coming out of the hotel. I don’t know who they were, I think there was a party and people were leaving. Then I saw Justin. He was all dressed up because he was on his way to the POP event and we asked, “Justin can we get a picture” and he was like “Yeah sure”. I took the picture for my friend and then she was going to take mine, we were using my phone to take the picture because my friends camera died. Then he went into the car and I saw Carin and Scooter. I told Carin her dress was pretty and she said thank you. They drove off and me and my friend were so happy, we couldn’t stop smiling and laughing. We were the only two girls there and it was just one of the best days of my life! -@itscharissex3 Continue reading here: The first time I met Justin was September 13, 2009 when he was…

I’ve had many Bieber experiences but I’m just…

I’ve had many Bieber experiences but I’m just going to talk about three. Meeting him at the Izod Center on November 17th, 2010, at the Today Show & Christmas Special on November 4th, 2011 and exactly a year after the first time meeting him on November 17th, 2011 outside of Z100. I’ve seen him plenty of more times, like at The Seven, 106&Park and etc, but didn’t meet him any of those times. But anyways… the Izod Center. A month before the concert, I spent so much of my time taking screenshots and sending in emails to  bieberfever.com . The night before the concert I got the email saying congratulations and that I was going to meet Justin the next day. I got up early, did my hair and what not, and left for the Izod Center early to try to have luck outside meeting anyone from the team. But I didn’t haha. After waiting outside for a few hours, it was finally time to get on the meet and greet line. Finally it was our time to go in and I walked in first, unless I would have been really shy. I was like, “Heyyy” and Justin was like, “Hey how are you?” And I was like, “Goood, how are you?” He said “Good” and he put his arm out for me to go next to him. He looked amazing and I was shaking so bad. After we took the picture, I just looked at him and was like “Can I get a hug?” And he grabbed me and said “Of course” and gave me like the BEST hug ever. I said “Nice to meet you” and he said “Nice meeting you too” and that was it. The concert afterwards was soo amazing. The next time meeting him was on November 4th, 2011 at the Today Show . I got into the city about 11:30 the night before. When they let us in the barricades at about 6:30, we went right in front of the doors where he came out. He was so nice going around meeting all the fans. When he first came out, he started about two people after me and I thought I was screwed. But he came back and asked where he started, and that’s when I like told Alfredo he started over by me and Justin came over to us. He wasn’t really taking any pictures so I just asked him to sign my poster. After that, I had won tickets to see him at the Michael Buble Christmas Special , and so I took my friend Brie with me. We got ready in the bathroom at the mall in Columbus Circle for like an hour! And then we had such a hard time getting into Brooklyn for the special. The trains were all running weird due to track work. And the first taxi cab driver we got didn’t know anything so we got out and I didn’t even know where in the city I was so I was like panicking, especially since Brie’s iphone died that had the directions and my blackberry wasn’t really much help. We saw a Starbucks and ran in. We were like 10 minutes from the place. We were worrying that we were going to be late and they weren’t going to let us in. We then decided her phone was charged enough so we got another cab and the driver was amazing! He told us that he’d get us there for Biebs! Haha! We told him everything we’ve been through and I wish all NYC taxi drivers were as nice as this guy! Long story short, we got there and got our wristbands! Our seats were a bit back, but still really close since it was a small place. We were sitting on the edge where everyone walked in and out. Justin didn’t come out that way, they had him in the back corner while everyone went back into the room where they were filming, we had to go out while he soundchecked. Anyways, Alfredo & Kenny were standing like right in front of us. Kenny remembered us from outside the hotel the last time they were in NYC and getting us pizza . He said hi and like kept looking back. And then Alfredo is just the best. We saw him tweeting and so I was like, “Yo fredo, I see you tweeting over there” and he looked back laughing. Justin’s performance was amazing. We each got a picture with Alfredo afterwards outside the place . My mom picked me up, and we were behind Justin and them for the longest time, they must have thought I was following them and being a creep, but I really was just going home the same way they were going. Finally, I skipped school on November 17th, 2011 and met Justin outside out Z100! Before going inside, he took the time out to meet all of us outside since there weren’t so many people and we were really calm. When he got to me, I was shaking and took our picture. I was like, “Uh, can I hug you?” He was like yeah and hugged me. I saw that my picture was blurry since I was shaking so bad, and so after he was done taking pictures with my friends, I asked if I could get another one since it was blurry and he was like, “Yeah sure” and my friend took the picture for me. It was an amazing experience. He was so nice! Kenny knows who I am so when I said hi, he was like hi how are you? And when Alfredo came back out, I called his name and he came right over and hugged me so I got a picture with him but I look so bad so I didn’t put it up. Well, this was really long. Justin’s amazing and I’m so happy and grateful for the times that I met him and seen him. -Megan (@MeganSullyyxo) More: I’ve had many Bieber experiences but I’m just…
