Inmate stopped breathing after hiding meth deep in her vagina

A 22-year-old woman who hid a container of methamphetamine in her vagina is now in critical condition after it ruptured and entered her system during an overnight stint in an Oregon jail. Police say Amanda M. Colmenero was rushed to the emergency room when they found her not breathing in a holding cell the morning after she was detained on drug related charges. Doctors found two containers of methamphetamine lodged deep into her vagina, according to a sheriff’s report. Investigators say that although Colmenero was subjected to a body cavity search while in jail, the drugs were hidden so far inside her vagina, they were unable to detect them. They believe she hid the drugs during the arrest, but some of it entered her system. http://www.tabloidprodigy.com/?p=21482 added by: knowandtell

Perhaps jail time and rehab really did change Lindsay Lohan. But, mirable dictu , Lindsay’s taken full responsibility. And that’s not all!

T.I. And Tiny Allegedly Caught With Ecstasy, Say Police

Tests on pills came back positive for narcotic. By MTV Staff T.I. and Tameka “Tiny” Cottle in L.A. county police custody Photo: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Los Angeles police confirmed on Friday (September 3) that tests on the illicit substance allegedly found during a traffic stop involving rapper T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle , have tested positive as a type of the drug Ecstasy . Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Nicole Nishida confirmed that lab tests on the pills found on both T.I., 29, and Cottle, 36, tested positive for Ecstasy, a Schedule 1 narcotic noted for a euphoric high that mixes the effects of hallucinogens and amphetamines. Nishida said only that “several” pills were found by detectives, but that no other drugs were confiscated during the search. Tip (born Clifford Harris Jr.) and Tiny were arrested after police stopped their Maybach for making an illegal U-turn on Los Angeles’ busy Sunset Boulevard on Wednesday night. After stopping the car, police allegedly smelled marijuana and then searched the vehicle, which resulted in the substance being found. Nishida said no mention was made by arresting officers of any marijuana confiscated during the search and, despite pictures on TMZ of the Maybach having white Styrofoam cups of the type typically used for sipping “sizzurp” (a narcotic drink popular in the South that contains coediene-laced cough syrup) inside, there was also no mention of that substance in the police report either. Both were arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and then released from jail a short time later on $10,000 bail. Neither is expected back in court for an arraignment before next month. T.I. is on probation following a seven-month prison stint for a felony gun charge, which is itself a violation of his probation from a previous felony arrest. T.I.’s new probation conditions included supervised release for three years, DNA testing and drug counseling, as well as a ban on owning firearms and an agreement to submit to reasonable searches. The rapper’s lawyers said on Thursday that Tip would be headed back to Atlanta within 24 hours , cautioning that it was too early to speculate on when, or if, he would have to appear before a judge. A spokesperson for the federal prosecutor’s office in Atlanta — where T.I. was prosecuted on the gun charge — said they are awaiting word from the probation department to find out what their investigation turned up about the Los Angeles incident. The probation officer handling T.I.’s case must first gather the facts on the arrest after consulting with Los Angeles County and then make a recommendation to the prosecutor’s office and the court as to whether the rapper deserves to be sanctioned for a violation of his probationary terms. A spokesperson for the probation department could not be reached for comment at press time. Related Photos T.I.’s Career Highs And Lows Related Artists T.I.

Security Guards Chokes Deaf Shoppers – Shoplifting Suspects, Video

Security Guards Chokes Deaf Shoppers – Shoplifting Suspects, Video There are more questions than answers regarding this troubling video that seems to show a security guard choking a suspected shoplifter while his friend tries to intervene – both of whom appear to be deaf. Here is what we know from watching the video, listening to the commentary and reading the post of the youtube user who took the video. Apparently, two deaf shoppers were leaving XXI in Hollywood when the store alarm was triggered but the pair continued walking with their shopping bags (they are reportedly deaf). The video picks it up from there as one man is being choked by a security guard while his friend (clearly with a speech impediment) tries to help, gesticulating franticly that he has receipts. Meanwhile, the security guard is choking the deaf shoplifting suspect so hard he is turning blue. Some people in the crow that have gathered are upset but do nothing to intervene while man video tapes the choking incident. A security guard tries to stop the video taping of the incident to no avail. The suspects are taken back inside XXI Hollywood store. At times store security guards like the ones here in XXI shoplifting video seem to operate with impunity where beyond the limits of what they are legally allowed to do. It is one thing to ask for receipts it is another to tackle someone and choke because they are mere shoplifting suspects. Lets hope someone is looking into this incident and the whole truth comes out. They violated these men's rights by ignoring the Americans with Disabilities Act. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fRv–C_vao&feature=player_embedded# ! added by: ArchDruid

Danielle Staub Accused of Snitching, Coke Whoring, Death Threatening by Former Lover/Drug Dealer

Throughout this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey , Danielle Staub has been referred to as a “coke whore” by her cast mates. But spurned ex-convict Daniel Aguilar went one step further this week, telling Radar Online the troubled reality star is a “snitchin’ coke whore.” And, according to sworn testimony by Aguilar, he should know. Last Thursday, Aguilar was deposed under oath as part of Kevin Maher’s defamation lawsuit against Staub. A former drug dealer who was arrested in a kidnapping and drug distribution scheme with Staub three decades ago, Aguilar went to jail because Staub turned on him. He said he met Staub when she worked as a prostitute and used the names Beverly Merrill and Angela Minelli. The pair started dating and working together, with Staub approaching Aguilar at one point and asking for four kilograms of cocaine to sell to her neighbor. Aguilar provided the drugs. But the neighbor never paid for the cocaine, and Aguilar believes he was ripped off by Staub and this man. In order to cover her tracks, though, Staub allegedly began beating the neighbor over the head with a 9mm Beretta, threatening the man’s life. She told the man’s father that his son would die unless at least $25,000 was paid. Both Staub and Aguilar were arrested for the incident and charged with extortion and intent to distribute cocaine. Via a plea bargain, Staub avoided jail time and flipped on Aguilar, sending him to prison for years. Under oath, Aguilar admitted “I wanted to kill her because of what she did, but I realize that if she’s dead I’m not going to get paid,” referring to the $100,000 he’s still owed for the original cocaine shipment. Aguilar even says he contacted Staub last month to demand the money, but she insists she owes him nothing. It’s a complicated, layered story – and a lot of it rests on the word of a convicted drug dealer. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that Danielle Staub is rewarded for her incredibly shady, illegal behavior throughout the years with a six-figure salary and a starring reality show role.

This Week’s Corrupt Cops Stories

In Tulsa, Oklahoma, one man was released from prison and another had charges dropped in a police corruption scandal that continues to fester. So far, 14 people have been freed from prison or had charges dropped in the scandal in which six former and current police officers have been charged in federal court with offenses including drug conspiracy, perjury, witness tampering and civil rights violations. Two men, former Tulsa Police officer John Gray and former US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Agent Brandon McFadden have already pleaded guilty and are cooperating with prosecutors. Gray admitted to lying on search warrant affidavits in the case of Hugo Gutierrez, who was released from federal prison last Friday. Gray also admitted stealing $10,000 from Gutierrez when he arrested him. Charges against Deon White were dropped July 29. His case is one of 53 associated with undercover Tulsa Police Officer Jeff Henderson, who was indicted July 20 on 58 counts of drug conspiracy, perjury, witness tampering and civil rights violations, federal court records show. The Tulsa World is keeping track of it all here. In Austin, Texas, a former Austin police officer went on trial Tuesday for having sex with a hooker while on duty and paying her with drugs. Scott Michael Lando faces charges of prostitution, delivery of a controlled substance, misuse of official information, and aggravated assault by a public servant for a series of incidents dating back to May 2006. This trial only deals with four prostitution counts and will feature the hooker, who will testify that Lando gave her drugs and other items in return for sex. Prosecutors already told the court Lando had access to drug dealers and got drugs from them. The state will decide later whether to move forward on the other counts. In Barboursville, West Virginia, a Western Regional Jail guard was arrested August 3 after getting caught in a sting by authorities. Nathaniel Shawn Johnson, 22, went down after the West Virginia State Police got a tip that he was bringing drugs and tobacco into the jail. They then used an undercover officer, who paid Johnson $300 after he agreed to buy and deliver Oxycontin and tobacco to the jail. He is charged with conspiracy and bringing a weapon onto jail grounds (he had a .22 rifle in his pickup). http://stopthedrugwar.org/chronicle/2010/aug/11/weeks_corrupt_cops_stories added by: JackHerer

Drug Driving Equipment to be Tested

The government is planning trials of equipment which would test drivers under the influence of drugs. The move could lead to a roll-out of the technology across police forces within two years. Manufacturers are to be given specifications for the devices by the end of September. It follows publication of a review into the problem of drug driving, which concluded that major changes were needed. At the moment police first need a doctor to decide whether the suspect has a “condition which might be due to a drug,” and then for a blood test to be carried out. Getting a doctor to the police station and the examination itself both take time – and could mean the drugs have left the suspect's system before the blood sample is taken. The government now says it will give manufacturers specifications for new testing equipment by the end of September. The resultant products are set to be trialled in police stations within a year and then rolled out to forces within two years. Road Safety Minister, Mike Penning said: “It is vital that the police have the tools they need to tackle those who drive while impaired by drugs. more at link… This is the creeping tyranny they're going to piggyback with their legalization of marijuana, even though weed is the least worry when driving, its the prescription pills and alcohol, which are both legal already. Since marijuana stays in your system for 30 days, you can get arrested tomorrow for the joint you smoked yesterday. Brittany Murphy’s Husband Also Died From Pneumonia

Simon Monjack succumbed to the same illness as his late wife, final autopsy results show. By Mawuse Ziegbe Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack Photo: Riccardo Savi/ WireImage Brittany Murphy’s husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack, died within months of his late wife — and from the same illness. Los Angeles County Coroner’s officials announced Wednesday (August 4) that Monjack succumbed to pneumonia, just like Murphy, who died from the condition late last year. Monjack, 40, died in May at the couple’s Hollywood home, five months after Murphy, 32, was found in the same house in December 2009. He was reportedly discovered by Murphy’s mother, Sharon, who also found her daughter’s body. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told The Associated Press that, although prescription medications were present in his system, the drugs did not contribute to his death. Monjack, who wrote the 2000 movie “Two Days, Nine Lives,” was initially thought to have died of cardiac arrest. In February, a coroner’s report revealed that Murphy, who shot to fame in films such as “Clueless,” “8 Mile” and “Sin City,” died from a mix of pneumonia, anemia and prescription medication. The findings dispelled rumors that the actress abused illegal drugs or alcohol . Winter told the AP that the deaths were referred to county health officials and said that, in both cases, tragedy could have been avoided. “In simple English, they didn’t take care of themselves,” Winter said. “They didn’t seek medical advice from a doctor. Brittany could have survived if she had gone to a hospital, and Simon I think could have done the same.” Murphy and Monjack reportedly met when the actress was a teenager and quietly married years later in 2007 after a low-profile courtship.
