Jinger Duggar: Jealous of Joy-Anna’s Baby News?

As we reported earlier this week, Joy-Anna Duggar is pregnant with her first child . Many fans were surprised by the news, not only because Joy-Anna is just 19 and has been married for only three months, but also because the pregnancy represents a significant break from Duggar tradition. Typically, when two Duggar daughters are recently married (which is pretty much always the case these days) the one to wed first is the one to get pregnant first. But Joy-Anna skipped the line, so to speak, announcing her pregnancy despite the fact that Jinger Duggar, who married six months before her, remains childless. There’s been talk that Joy-Anna got pregnant before marriage and that her family moved her wedding up in order to avoid a scandal, but that’s a conversation for another time. Most Duggar fans have been busy wishing Joy-Anna and husband Austin Forsyth all the best as they start their family together. But some have expressed concerns for Jinger. Like all Duggar women, Jinger has spoken excitedly about having children, and most thought she would have made a pregnancy announcement by now. Since the use of birth control is frowned upon in the Duggar clan, many fans are now speculating that Jinger and husband Jeremy Vuolo are having trouble conceiving. “Doubt she’s using BC. My guess is they are trying but might be having issues,” a Duggar fan recently wrote on Facebook. “Statistically 1 to 2 in every 10 women deal with infertility problems.” “There are 9 duggar girls, so at least one of them is bound to struggle and so far the other 3 married ones seem to get pregnant quite easily.”  “I’d feel really bad if they had infertility issues in that family. You know J’chelle [Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar] would think they were cursed by God,” commented another. Many have pointed out that on a recent Counting On after-show, Jim Bob predicted that Joy-Anna would be the next to announce baby news. Even though Jinger has been married much longer, Jim Bob – who typically offers very little in the way of such insight – actually said this. The prescient comment led many to believe that the Duggar family patriarch is aware Jinger is having trouble conceiving. If Jinger is struggling with conception issues, her difficulty is likely only compounded by the fact that it’s all taking place on the public stage. Unfortunately for her, the downside of your parents making a commodity of your private life is that the public’s interest rarely ends when the cameras are turned off. Joy-Anna Duggar Pregnancy: When Is She Due?

Earlier today, we learned the exciting news that Joy-Anna Duggar is pregnant . Joy-Anna married Austin Forsyth in May, which means the couple is moving fast even by the standards of a family that’s mostly famous for breeding. In her official announcement, Joy-Anna didn’t offer any information about how far along she is, but of course, that won’t stop fans from wildly speculating about her due date. People magazine published the above photo of Joy-Anna on their website today, and many have commented that she looks like she’s several months along. Joy-Anna had better get used to the scrutiny, because for reasons that aren’t entirely clear, fans are downright obsessed with what goes on in her uterus. Prior to her wedding, rumors that Joy-Anna was pregnant before marriage cropped up regularly on social media. At this point, we think it’s safe to say no pre-marital hand-holding took place, but if you’re familiar with the Duggar courtship rules , you know what a scandal an out-of-wedlock child would have been. Joy-Anna and Austin honeymooned in Switzerland, and the consensus among fans seems to be that Joy-Anna got pregnant during the trip and is now roughly three months along. As is so often the case with this sort of thing, the Duggars are remaining tight-lipped about the due date. But that doesn’t mean Joy-Anna and Austin aren’t talking to the press at all. The parents-to-be have issued several statements about how happy they are to have a child on the way. They’re just not offering up any info about when the baby might be arriving. “Before we even were married we were praying that God would give us kids and we’re so thankful that he has,” Joy said today. Austin echoed the sentiment, adding: “We’re so happy to announce that we’re pregnant. When we found out we were pregnant we were both extremely happy and felt blessed.” Yes, these two certainly aren’t giving away any clues. Many fans have pointed out that Duggar women typically share pregnancy news at the end of their first trimester, which would mean Joy-Anna is likely due in  February. Whatever the case, the expectant mother sounds thrilled to have a little one en route. Our heartfelt congrats go out to Joy-Anna and Austin! Jessa Duggar on Raising Two Kids: It’s SO Chaotic!

If you watch Counting On online , you know that the Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are taking her parents’ approach to family planning and seem to be in a race to hit double-digit offspring before they turn 30. Back in February,  Jessa welcomed her second child , a boy named Henry Wilberforce. Henry’s arrival came just 15 months after the birth of Jessa’s first son , Spurgeon. So these days, Jessa and husband Ben Seewald are raising two kids under the age of two – an undertaking that no doubt puts their patience to the test on a daily basis. Jessa isn’t one to complain (We’re pretty sure Duggar women are trained from a young age to keep perma-grins affixed to their faces at all times.), but in a preview for Monday’s episode of Counting On , the 24-year-old confesses that her situation can be trying at times. “I kind of expected it to be a challenge going from one to two kids — I feel like every day is different,” Jessa says in the clip. “Some days it’s very, very simple. Other days, it’s a little more chaotic.” We imagine “a little more chaotic” is Jessa’s euphemistic way of saying there are days when she looks at the pile of dirty diapers and wants to rip her hair out by the roots. Things are a bit less hectic on Ben Seewald’s end, as the Duggars’ have basically added an 11th commandment to their Bible that forbids men from lifting a finger around the house. But being unemployed and under no obligation to assist in the raising of his children didn’t stop Ben from offering his own two cents on life in the Seewald household: “Since Henry’s birth, things have been a little more busy in the Seewald house,” Ben tells producers in the preview. “One adjustment going from one child to two is there are so many diapers and they pile up so fast. We gotta take the trash out a lot more often.” We’re guessing Jessa cracked and let out a terrifying Heath Ledger Joker laugh when she heard Ben complain about taking the trash out more often. If she didn’t, she deserves some sort of prize. Ben should probably go ahead and get a job before Jessa disappears with the kids and goes full Gone Girl on his ass. Duggar Family Church Becomes Site of Anti-Trump Protest

Though it was the size of their seemingly ever-expanding brood that first landed Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar in the national spotlight, it’s the couples ultra-conservative religious and political views that have made them enduring subjects of both derision and fascination. That fascination has come at a significant price, as the family has been beset by a string scandals ever since it was revealed in May of 2015 that eldest son  Josh Duggar molested four of his sisters when they were young girls. So perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that the Duggars recently found themselves at the center of an uproar involving both their controversial religious beliefs and one of the more widely criticized policies of the Trump administration. On Sunday, protestors gathered at the Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas to protest Trump’s decision to pull out of the Paris Agreement – a global initiative designed to combat climate change by reducing carbon emissions. The reason for the location may not have had anything to do with the Duggars, but rather with the church’s founder, Ronnie Floyd, who was reportedly a valued “spiritual advisor” to Trump during his campaign. The peaceful assembly was covered by a local reporter named Katie Davidson: “Protestors have assembled in front of Cross Church in Rogers to ask Ronnie Floyd, who was a member of a spiritual advisory panel for President Trump during the campaign, to help the poor and the climate,” Davidson wrote on Facebook yesterday. It is not known if the fact that the Duggars attend the church was a factor in the protestors’ choice of location, though some have speculated that they might have been motivated by the additional media attention they would receive at the Springdale Cross Church, as opposed to one of the other places of worship presided over by Floyd. Like Bill Gothard , founder of the “Quiverfull movement” that forms the basis for many of the Duggars beliefs, Floyd has been wrapped in numerous scandals over the years. Most recently, Floyd has come under fire the excessive “tithing” demands he makes of his parishioners, as well as for homopohobic views expressed in his book The Gay Agenda: It’s Dividing the Family, the Church, and a Nation . While the Duggars political beliefs have long been a source of controversy, TLC has consistently attempted to separate the family from the ideology, so as not to alienate viewers or advertisers. It’s a task that’s become increasingly difficult over the years and may soon prove impossible. Watch Counting On online to try and pick out all the scenes that have been carefully edited so as not to reveal the Duggars’ most far-right wing beliefs. Josh Duggar: Did He Even Cheat on Anna?

It’s hard to believe that a little over two years ago, Josh Duggar was just another grinning, innocuous member of the massive 19 Kids and Counting brood. Sure, as the eldest of the lot and a semi-successful lobbyist, Josh stood apart in some respects, but to the casual reality TV fan, he was of interest only due to the staggering number of people who share his DNA. These days of course, Josh is no longer an anonymous face in the Duggar crowd, but not because he distinguished himself through hard work and achievement. Quite the opposite. As a result of the Josh Duggar sex scandals that first came to light in May of 2015, Josh’s name is now mentioned alongside the likes of Jared Fogle or Bill Cosby. He’s become infamous as the worst kind of predator, and with good reason. First, the world learned that when he was in his teens, Josh molested five young girls , four of whom were his sisters. (It was later revealed that Josh’s parents failed to report him to the authorities, instead opting to “deal with” the matter in-house.) Shortly thereafter, the affair-facilitating website Ashley Madison was hacked, and Josh’s name was included on the list of clients. So we know that for a long time Josh tried to cheat on Anna Duggar. In fact, he really gave it his all. Josh had not one, but two paid Ashley Madison accounts, and he even used other people’s photos on his profile as part of his effort to lure in potential cheating partners. ( Josh is currently being sued  by a Los Angeles-based DJ whose photos he used. The man claims his involvement in the scandal irreparably damaged his career.) Unlike the molestation scandal, the cheating ordeal had actual, real-world fallout for Josh, whose family forced him into a six month sex addiction rehab program . But now that the dust has settled, we can’t help but wonder – did Josh ever actually cheat in Anna? Was he somehow able to find a willing partner online? We have our doubts. Now, mind you, we’re in no way defending Josh’s character. In fact, the man very clearly has no character to defend. But we are having difficulty imagining that there are women using Ashley Madison (a tough image to conjure on its own), and that those women saw Josh’s profile, became intrigued, offered to meet up, and then were totally cool with finding out they’d been catfished. Now, it’s possible that Josh relied on sex workers for his infidelity, but that seems unlikely for several reasons. For starters, Josh has lived in places – rural Arkansas and (very briefly) Washington, D.C. In the former, we imagine there are very few brothels. The latter is positively teeming with prostitutes, but 1. Josh was only there for a month, and 2. he was a high-profile employee of a conservative lobbyist organization. Pulling off any sort of illicit sex would’ve required a level of stealth that we simply don’t believe Josh is capable of. Not to mention the fact that at this point, any sex workers hired by Josh would’ve probably sold their stories to the tabloid media. A woman named Danica Dillon claimed that she met Josh while she was working as a stripper and that he paid her for sex on multiple occasions, but her claims didn’t hold out in court. She later retracted her version of events on social media, confessing that while she did meet Josh, they never actually engaged in intercourse. Again, we have no interest in defending Josh, only in pointing out the absurdity of his situation: Despite his fame and his constant efforts to cheat on his wife, it looks like he was consistently unable to do so. Josh is worse than a cheater: He’s a wannabe cheater, a failed cheater. So if you’re the one person on the planet who’s still holding on to a shred of respect for this creep, we suggest you go ahead and toss that out the window. Jana Duggar: 13 Reasons Why … She’s Still Single?

Why is Jana Duggar single? That's a question Duggar Nation has been asking for years, and fans have not shied away from offering their two cents, and then some. Some theories are more out there than others, obviously; Jana isn't secretly a monster underneath her long dresses and skirts (we think). But regardless of why the 27-year-old remains on the market, she continues to fascinate fans because WHY IS SHE ON THE MARKET?! With Jill, Jessa and Jinger all married and Joy-Anna not far behind, the eldest Duggar daughter does her own thing. It's a little baffling. Here's a look at all the rumors or reports we've read explaining this most unlikely phenomenon, and why they're likely true (or false). 1. She’s not allowed to date because Jim Bob needs her as a surrogate mom. This theory is both the longest-running and the most likely, given that Jana has been taking care of her younger siblings for her entire life (when she was born, the show was called 3 & Counting … just kidding). In all seriousness, she’s been a key part of raising her brothers and sisters for years, and even now, can be seen taking care of her nieces and nephews (like Josh’s daughter, above). Whether or not this correlates with Jim Bob turning a blind eye to suitors, or her simply being so put-upon that she can’t consider courting, or some combination of both? That we may never know for sure, but Jana earned the nickname “Cinderella Duggar” for a reason. 2. She’s infertile. In the Duggars’ world view, a woman’s value comes solely from the amount of babies she can crank out over the course of a lifetime, so if Jana doesn’t have that ability, she may not be “desirable” for Jim Bob and Michelle in terms of finding her a partner … and as such, she might as well be put to work, dovetailing with the above theory. 3. She’s a lesbian. Unlikely … but it has been rumored before on several occasions, and scientifically at least, 1-2 of the Duggars’ 19 kids being gay is plausible, maybe even likely. Jana hasn’t shown any interest in courting, and we can’t imagine there wouldn’t be interest from young men … if she’s attracted to women, her family would never admit it, or she would never admit it to them, and she would enter into a life of servitude to Jim Bob and Michelle. A stretch, but crazier things have happened. 4. She’s not impressed … by the Quiverfull movement. One fan theory is that she’s taken a Godly path, but not the controversial one espoused by her parents. Jim Bob and Michelle have embraced the “Quiverfull” movement, which basically means “be fruitful and multiply.” Jana, the theory goes, wants to embark on a path of celibacy, like the apostle Paul recommended. A little out there, but then again these are the Duggars. Can you rule that out? 5. She’s not allowed to date until John David does, or doesn’t want to. That’s just lunacy … but it is interesting that neither of the twins have entered into a courtship. Twins are known for a bond that few others understand or share. Perhaps they’re somehow looking to be paired off at the same time? 6. She’s not settling. (Or is too picky.) Crazy notion, right? That a 27-year-old woman just hasn’t felt strongly enough about a particular person yet? She basically said this last fall, telling TLC: “I don’t know what the next five years will look like. In some ways you’ve got hopes and dreams. Maybe I’ll meet the one and get married and have kids and stuff. There have been different guys come along and ask, but they haven’t been the right one. It’s just one of those things. I’m not just out to get married to the first one who comes along.” Case closed? View Slideshow

Starbucks Barista Loses His Mind Over Unicorn Frappuccino: Watch!

People have a deep, inexplicable love for Starbucks, and so many of them will lose their damn minds over a new beverage. That's a fact, and it's always been a fact, but it's been proven again this week with the release of a new limited edition drink, the fabled Unicorn Frappuccino. If you've been on social media at all in the past few days, you've likely seen reaction videos, reviews, fancy filtered pics of this thing. People are obsessed with it, for whatever reason, and they're lining up at their local Starbucks to try it for themselves. And for one barista, the pressure was simply too much. Braden Burson works at a Starbucks in Colorado, and on his way home from work yesterday, he was so frazzled by the Unicorn Frappuccino that he felt the need to make a video about it. It's enthralling, alarming … it's so many things. He kicked things off in a pretty calm way, explaining that the drink had just come out that day, and that it's a mango-based cream drink with a sour twist — most reviews say it's disgusting, by the way. He said that it's the most popular drink in Starbucks history, which is true, and that people have been clamoring for it. But then, and this is where things get interesting, he has the breakdown. “Please don't get it!” he screamed. “I have never made so many frappuccinos in my entire life. My hands are completely sticky. I have unicorn crap all in my hair and on my nose.” “I have never been so stressed out in my entire life,” he lamented. “If you love us, as baristas, don't order it.” Poor Braden said that the drink is just so difficult to make, and to make one right after the other is tough. It's clear the pressures of the job have gotten to him — seriously, we weren't joking when we said that he loses his mind. We feel for him, but, interestingly enough, you know who else is showing sympathy for him? Starbucks itself! Some people have expressed concern that Braden would get fired over such a rant, but TMZ is reporting that Starbucks is actually reaching out to him to try to figure out how to make things easier on baristas. A happy ending — who would have thought? See the video that started it all below:

The Duggars: What Religion Do They Practice?

In recent years, the name Duggar has gone from a synonym for a certain brand of squeaky-clean family-friendly entertainment to something very different. These days, the name is polarizing at best, or at worst, a byword for the sort of hypocrisies and scandals often found at the heart of the most secretive cults. It’s impossible to separate the family’s controversial religious beliefs from their rise to the the near-top of the reality TV totem pole. After all, a great many of the practices that have made the Duggars fascinating to millions of outsiders are rooted in their faith. Of course, it wasn’t so long ago that the same belief system nearly brought the Duggar empire tumbling down like the walls of Jericho. For as much as we know about some specific details of the Duggar creed (sex is for procreation between man and wife only;  women are forbidden to wear pants or hold jobs, etc.), a lot of the larger questions regarding their religion remain sources of debate and speculation. For example, the biggest Duggar-related mystery of all may be a simple but profound one, and have more than one answer:  What religion do they even practice exactly? The family has been accused of giving misleading answers when asked the simple question of what faith they belong to. Remarkably, it’s a question that you’ll never hear the Duggar kids – even the grown, married adults – fielding publicly. Instead, they defer to Jim Bob, who’s stated (on the rare occasions he’s addressed the issue himself) that he and his family are Independent Baptists. Despite their name, Independent Baptists are an ultra-conservative lot with little tolerance for personal freedom. They exist on the fringes of American Christianity, and are not a recognized sect, so much as a loose network of individual congregations. Ultra-conservative televangelist Jerry Falwell abandoned the Independent Baptist Church for the more moderate Southern Baptists. That should tell you all you need to know about how extreme the IB belief system is. Amazingly, the Tontitown, Ark., family falls far to the right of even the most conservative Independent Baptists on most issues. This has led many to the conclusion that Jim Bob is taking his cues from somewhere other than the leadership of the IB Church. To answer the question of where the most extreme Duggar beliefs and practices originate, we need to turn our attention to the Quiverfull  movement. There’s debate as to who founded the movement, but it’s widely agreed that Quiverfull was popularized by the Reverend Bill Gothard in the late 1970s. In 2015,  Gothard resigned  in disgrace from his post with the Quiverfull-centered Institute for Basic Life Principles amidst a flurry of sex assault and harassment allegations. He and his organization have shelled out an undisclosed amount of cash to keep the accusers at bay, but dozens of new allegations have surfaced. In just the past couple of years, the movement’s extreme right-wing beliefs have received such negative attention that the Duggars are keeping their distance. At least to the point where they’re hesitant publicly associate with the Quiverfull movement, though there’s no question that they adhere to Gothard’s teachings. First and foremost, the  Duggars use Quiverfull teaching materials in homeschooling their 19 children (and counting). They also refer to the spiritual teachings of this movement when addressing topics such as sex and sexual abuse: After the first of Josh’s two sex scandals, which involved the molestation of five young girls, including his sisters, the family tried to deal with it “in-house.” When they sent Josh Duggar to rehab after he was outed as an Ashley Madison client, they chose a faith-based facility with the approval of Gothard’s IBLP. The Duggars cut ties with Gothard (publicly, at least) following allegations that he groped and assaulted dozens of young male and female employees. Prior to that, they called the religious leader a close family friend and “an inspiration” as recently as 2014. The most telling sign that the Duggars are Quiverfull devotees, however, is the fact that it was Gothard who first espoused the notion that defines them: That it is the duty of Christians to have as many children as physically possible. Explains USC assistant professor of religion Cavan Concannon. “In the Quiverfull movement, your kids are blessings from God and they are also weapons in the culture war.” “Some people in the movement would say that part of having a lot of kids is an attempt to birth more conservative Christians in a world that doesn’t have enough of them.”  Some have wondered how the Duggars can reconcile their wealth and fame with their devotion to a religion that preaches the importance of poverty and humility. (Recently, Jessa Duggar teaching a seminar on how to dress and act modestly – while charging $20-50 a ticket – illustrated this disconnect.) Simply put, they see themselves as soldiers in an apocalyptic culture war, and they believe that TV is the most important weapon in their arsenal. View Slideshow: 15 Disturbing Things BANNED By the Duggar Family Jesus Christ famously said, “The meek shall inherit the earth.” But Bill Gothard basically said, to read between the lines: There’s power in numbers, so let’s tailor my beliefs to help me expand my following through procreation and mass media to boot . While they often talk about putting God first, the Duggars have left little mystery as to which of these messages they value more.
