Or at least, that's how things used to be. Since Amy brought her husband, Dillon King, on Marriage Boot Camp to discuss their problems and share their deepest, darkest secrets , everything has changed in the worst way. Thankfully, we know now that the scary incident she shared in the trailer for the show, the one where a man picked her up by her throat and lifted her up to the ceiling, didn't have anything to do with her husband . But that doesn't mean there's never been any violence in their home. In this new clip from Marriage Boot Camp, Amy and Dillon discuss a pretty awful story about how he once picked up their kitten and dropped the poor animal on its jaw. He tries to play it off like an accident, but there's a reason cats are known for always landing on all fours — and that's because they do. Also in the clip, it's revealed that Amy punched Dillon after he did whatever he did to the cat. And Amy's excuse for punching her husband? “You had to be there.” Watch the questionable clip below:
According to one of her most recent social media updates, Jessa Duggar was 34 weeks pregnant two weeks ago. We’re no mathematicians, but by our calculations, that makes her about 36 weeks pregnant now. The average pregnancy lasts 40 weeks beginning from the day of the woman’s last pregnancy, though the date of conception is usually about two weeks later. All of this is a very long, unnecessarily scientific way of saying Jessa’s due date is fast approaching. In all likelihood, it’s still several weeks away, but there are some fans who believe Jessa may be just about ready to pop, despite what she says on social media. This theory seems to be based on little aside from the fact that Jessa concealed her second pregnancy from the media for most of her first trimester. We’re not sure why that would lead fans to believe that she actually got pregnant even earlier and kept it a secret even longer , but hey – our motto at THG is we report the nonsensical rumors, and you decide if they’re total BS. Okay, we guess there is one other thing adding to the speculation, which is the fact that Jessa hasn’t posted anything on Instagram in four days. We know what you’re thinking: Who the hell cares? And we believe you’re absolutely right to think that, but there are others who believe that Jessa’s absence from the ‘Gram is evidence that she’s already given birth to a little brother or sister for Spurgeon. We imagine its name is Pubert, or something similarly horrendous. The Jessa pregnacy truthers point out that Jessa usually posts on social media about once a day. They reason that her lack of selfies this week must mean that she’s already surrounded herself with hay and farm animals in a three-walled manger, or however the Duggars prepare to give birth. Obviously, this is a bit of a stretch, but it’s worth noting that Jessa and her female family members do tend to be pretty secretive about their pregnancies. We guess you don’t have much choice when 100% percent of your income comes from a reality show that’s centered entirely around weddings and births, and you’re not not allowed to get divorced. It's hard to believe, but at this point, it's been nearly two years since the world learned that Josh Duggar had molested five young girls — and that four of those girls were his own little sisters. Since then, the Duggar family's good reputation — or, OK, if they didn't have a good reputation, they at least had a non-violent reputation — has been irreparably tarnished. And when it came out that Josh had cheated on his poor wife, Anna, and when women began making reports that he'd had violent trysts with them … it's all been so remarkably bad. But is it about to get worse? Amy Duggar, cousin to all those 19 Kids and Counting, went on Marriage Boot Camp with her husband, Dillon King. In a teaser for the show, Amy was seen recounting an instance of domestic violence — she said “he picked me up by my throat, all the way up to the ceiling.” At the time, it sounded like she was talking about Dillon, but she made it clear that wasn't the case . So who abused her, then? Well, in this new interview, she says that the man in question is “a family member,” and that the violence happened when she was younger. The Duggar Family Tree will officially grow yet another branch in 2017. Mere hours after we wondered whether or not Jill Duggar was pregnant with her second child, as the result of a seemingly hidden baby bump in a new family photo , the reality star has now come out and confirmed: She IS pregnant with her second child! Hooray! Jill and husband Derick Dillard will become parents once again in July of next year. “We are so excited to be expecting Dillard baby #2!” Jill and Derick told People Magazine of the big news, adding: “Children really are a wonderful blessing from God. Having Israel has been such a delight to us that we know a second sweet baby will only continue to add joy to our family. “We are thankful to God for this sweet child and we cannot wait to see her or him face to face!” It sounds as if the Counting On star is still in her first trimester of pregnancy. However, she may have felt a bit of pressure to make this announcement now because her allegedly expecting state has been a source of speculation for weeks. Back around Thanksgiving, for example, Jill posed for a cute photo with Derick. Instead of being impressed by the delicious dinner fare around the couple, though, most social media followers honed in on Derick’s strategic hand placement. He appeared to be shielding a baby bump from the camera’s view, as you can take note of below: “Jill Duggar looks pregnant. Seems every pic I see she’s larger than the previous one,” wrote an astute Internet user in response to the photo above. Many believed that Jill was planning to wait and reveal her pregnancy on the Counting On Season 3 premiere, but alas. Here we are now instead! Regardless of the nature of the project, the fact that these two are planning babies and business ventures together is a pretty sure sign that they won’t be separating any time soon. Amy and Dillon just got married in September of last year, and divorce is virtually unheard of in the Duggars’ circle, so you can expect the Kings to try and stick things out. Family pariah Josh Duggar was never supposed to be shown on Counting On this season, but some fans think it’s already been done. It’s unclear if TLC actually vowed to never include Josh in the show again, or made more vague promises to that effect, but in any case? Let’s just say he’s still persona non grata to fans … Obviously, as a father of four who went to rehab and returned to his native Arkansas, it’s understandable that he spends time with his family. His wife took him back despite being a child molesting, adulterous, porn addict hypocrite, and he’s back in the Duggars’ good graces. Or at least tolerated. Thus, while some people obviously cringed at the photo of Josh Duggar at Thanksgiving with his family, it was pretty harmless in the end. When Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo , however, the cameras were rolling and fans of the reality TV show were glad he was edited out. Or was he? This past Sunday, three weeks after the wedding, a fan page noted that if you watch Counting On online , you might see Joshua himself. Maybe. He wasn’t front and center, to be sure. The Pickles and Hairspray Facebook page, which has followed the Duggars over the years, and through thick and thin, analyzed the wedding. We’re talking like Zapruder Film-style analysis. With Jinger’s father Jim Bob Duggar standing next to groom Jeremy Vuolo, you can see one of her nephews behind them … and a man. Writes the Duggar fan page in its recap: “And Josh hides behind Marcus. Seriously, Marcus is standing on Josh’s lap at one point to completely block him from being seen on camera.” “What a life that guy has now.” If Josh is actually hiding behind his child, deliberately or otherwise, can we really say he’s “appearing” on the show? And does it matter? Is TLC trying to get away with sneaking Josh Duggar, whose actions are the reason their previous show was canceled, back on the air? We know Josh was so happy with Anna at Jinger’s wedding , or so we were told by multiple media reports, and he was seen at the event. As far as his presence on TV is concerned, however, it was believed that the 28-year-old was still sidelined … and for the most part still is. The Duggar Family Blog and TLC both basically said earlier this year that there were no plans for Josh to be part of any future programming. However, other sources claim it was stated he would not “appear on Counting On in any formal capacity.” If that’s true, based on this photo? It’s hard to say TLC broke any promises. The moral question of whether Josh should be back on TV is a subjective one, but if there’s a Duggar family event at all, he’ll be there. The Anna and Josh divorce rumors are bogus, people. It’s not happening. Even if we think it should, it’s not. They are very clearly back together and (at least on the surface) happier than ever. His presence in online photos implicitly confirms this. Yes, the family treads carefully when it comes to their disgraced first-born. But if he were truly an outcast, we would’ve known it by now. In the past week, he has shown up at Thanksgiving (above), both with the Duggar family and his in-laws (below), and on social media. If a small glimpse of Josh Duggar really was included deliberately, and whether he will be similarly included further in future episodes? We cannot say with any certainty. No one can. All we can say is that when Season 3 of Counting On premieres in January 2017, it should be very interesting to see the direction TLC takes. A glimpse of part of his jaw and hairline hiding behind a little boy are one thing. Producers and editors truly might not have realized this. But if he’s included in any sort of real air time, or story line, we may quickly find out if Duggar Nation is as quick to forgive him as Anna. Stay tuned. Well, it’s been days since Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo , so naturally, fans of the family are already wondering who will be next. Will it be Joy-Anna courting and sprinting down the aisle. Or John David, who has spoken about his desire to settle down? Josiah Duggar briefly courted Marjorie Jackson , so he’s in the mix as well. Josiah’s relationship didn’t result in marriage and an army of offspring, which are the goals for any Duggar courtship, but he was interested. That’s neither here nor there, in any case, because if the fans had their pick, the perennial favorite and ” Cinderella Duggar ” would be next. Normally, an unmarried 26-year-old would not be a cause for concern, but the Duggars are adherents of the ” Quiverfull ” movement. To make a long story short, the teachings the family ascribes to believe the obligation of every woman is to have as many babies as possible. See Duggar, Michelle, nee Ruark. The women in the family are typically married off in their early 20s (Joy-Anna, 19, seen with Jana above, could be next) to begin breeding. Sounds crude, but hey, it’s more or less true. The fact that Jana is entering her mid-to-late 20s without a courtship in sight is no doubt a source of stress for her procreation-happy parents. Or is it? Many observers have speculated that Jim Bob and Michelle used Jana to help raise the younger kids while marrying off her sisters. Not a terrible theory, but this may disprove it. Some Duggar fans believe that JBD and Michelle are now giving Jana a public nudge toward the altar with their latest Facebook post: The pic above is a wall hanging created by Jana, who is known for her artistic sense, with some objects she found around the house. “Our Jana is so talented!” her gushed in the caption. “An old fence board, some painted sticks and just a little jute string!” So talented … oh, and believe it or not, still available! Duggar social media posts usually focus on grandkids or the entire family (individual attention is in short supply when you’ve got 19 freakin’ kids). So many took this post as a way of doing a bit of “advertising” for Jana, who does so much for her family but gets so little of the credit. However, that doesn’t necessarily jibe with what seems to be the reality of the situation, which may be the same old story: As far as anyone can tell, the problem never has been that Jana Duggar, a beautiful, sweet young woman is suffering from a lack of options. Need a break from all the horrible, awful, completely depressing news that’s been dominating the media for the past couple days? Want to just hear about something nice for once, maybe something about love and romance and positivity? Well, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo have given an interview about their November 5th wedding ceremony . So, you know, close enough. According to Jeremy, “It was a dream come true” getting married to Jinger. “We’ve been counting down the hours until this day,” he said. Jeremy began courting Jinger in June, so they’ve waited five entire months from the time they began dating to getting married. That’s a whole lot of hours when all you can do is side-hug. As for Jinger, she was so excited about the wedding that “I told the girls I need the bridemaids to enter behind me because I thought I would collapse when I saw him.” Even though Jinger and Jeremy have been playing a little fast and loose with the Duggar’s traditional views on courtship — chaperones always, boning never — they still saved their very first kiss for their wedding day. If a Duggar can’t kiss someone until she’s married to him, and if Jinger’s never been married, this should mean that this kiss was not only her first kiss with Jeremy, but her first kiss period. Yeah, if you thought your first kiss with your awkward middle school boyfriend in his parents’ damp, smelly basement was rough, try doing it Duggar-style, in a formal ceremony with nearly 1,000 people watching. Still, Jinger says “I wasn’t nervous at all. I couldn’t wait for it. It’s like he couldn’t say it soon enough.” Hey, girl, you get yours. About the couple, Jinger’s mother, Michelle Duggar revealed that “They really balance each other out.” “Jeremy is a strong leader, and Jinger is such a gentle people person and a great follower.” Aww, come on, Michelle, fight the patriarchy. Or at least fight the urge to give out dumb “compliments” about your daughter being a good follower. And hey, if you’re one of those people that like to hear details about the actual wedding itself and not just the couple, well then, come. You’re among your own here. You know that beautiful dress Jinger wore ? That was hand-beaded lace, and it came complete with a train that was 13 feet long. The ceremony took place at the Cathedral of the Ozarks at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and the couple chose an autumn-inspired color palette. Specifically, the colors were “burnt orange, eggplant, and olive,” and according to the wedding planner, “the idea was to bring the outdoors in.” For the reception, guests munched on picked okra, meatballs, and cheese and crackers, and the wedding cake was a “naked cake” — a vanilla cake covered with berries. Jinger and Jeremy left the reception in a vintage Jaguar. It actually sounds like kind of a nice wedding, right? Or at least it sounds a little milder than what we’d expect from this family. We’ll get to see soon enough whether or not this was whole affair was as classy as it sounds, because TLC has promised a wedding special that’s set to air next week .
