The same week that Bette Midler dissed Ariana Grande , the 71-year old artist spoke to The Sunday Times, bringing up a 2012 rumor that Swift was in talks to portray her in a big screen adaption of Girls Like Us, a book that told the story of Mitchell, Carole King and Carly Simon. 11 Fun Facts About Taylor Swift! 1. Swift made her feature film debut in 2010’s Valentine’s Day and she also had a small role in 2014’s The Giver. She told Time magazine two years ago that she’s “love to sign on to do a movie,” but it would have to be a “story worth telling,” considering how much effort she’d put in to a big role. For now, however, this music thing is working out pretty well for Swift. She set a Billboard milestone last week by succeeding herself atop the chart and kicks off the 1989 World Tour on May 5 in Tokyo, Japan.
