Zoe Kravitz, Ava Duvernay, Alexandra Shipp, Tracee Ellis Ross Stun At ELLE Event The 22nd Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards presented by Calvin Klein Collection, L’Oréal Paris, and David Yurman went down in Beverly Hills on October 19, 2015. We were happy to see Black Hollywood represented with stunners Niece Nash, Alexandra Shipp, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Ava Duvernay and Zoe Kravitz showing out and looking amazing at the event. It’s hard to choose but if you had to pick one of these ladies Who Looked More Bangin ??? We like this Twin Shadow guy with Zoe Kravitz. Never seen her glow quite this much. Love looks good on ya Zoe boo. Besides their coupled up antics, some other highlights from the event include Mary J. Blige, Lena Dunham, Leslie Mann, Zoe Saldana, Meryl Streep, Shailene Woodley, and Icona Pop presenting awards to DuVernay, Schumer, Johnson, Hayek, Mulligan, Winslet and Vikander respectively. Actor and comedian Joel McHale served as emcee for the evening. Everyone in the room was left asking if Salma Hayek was going to make a run for office after her powerful speech about women being the change and embracing their roles as strong leaders in the industry. She closed out the evening by gifting everyone in the room with limited edition painting by Paris Reid of a butterfly, a symbol of change. Ava DuVernay captivated with a speech highlighting the importance of women filmmakers in the male dominated industry after accepting her award from Mary J Blige. ELLE Editor-in-Chief Robbie Myers and SVP & Publisher Kevin O’Malley, with presenting sponsors Calvin Klein Collection and L’Oréal Paris, and supporting sponsor David Yurman, brought the honorees and their presenters—along with fellow artists, legends and leaders from across the industry—together for this year’s dinner and awards celebration. In addition to being feted at the annual awards dinner in Los Angeles, the honorees are also featured in ELLE’s November Women in Hollywood issue, on newsstands nationwide today.
