Arsenio Hall has absolutely gone off on Brian Williams. Not long after Williams broke his silence – appearing opposite Matt Lauer and blaming his ego for the many lies he told as host of NBC Nightly News – Hall went on Twitter and let the reporter have it. “Brian Williams is a LIAR, who betrayed his loyal viewers & attempted to hijack the valor of our brave men & women in the military,” wrote Hall. The comedian also included hashtag “#f*ckhim.” Back in February, NBC suspended Williams for six months after it became clear the anchor misled viewers about the role he played in various Iraq War incidents. On Thursday, it was announced Lester Holt will permanently replace Williams as the head of the NBC Nightly News. Williams has been bumped to covering breaking news for MSNBC. During his TODAY interview, the veteran newsman acknowledged he told “wrong stories” and said he “owns up” to his false statements.
