LL Cool J is standing up for ” Accidental Racist .” The track – released today as part of Brad Paisley’s new albu – features the country singer crooning about life in the South, while the rapper jumps in about what it’s like to be African-American in society. LL refers to himself in the song as a “new fangled Django,” while Paisley says his native region is still “siftin through the rubble” of “Reconstruction.” Accidental Racist – Brad Paisley and LL Cool J As you might expect, such a topic has generated a lot of controversy, but LL tells CNN that he’s “proud” of the duet. “Music is about, and art is about, connecting different people, and building bridges and breaking the rules,” he said. “If it’s not compelling, and it’s not complex and it’s not interesting, then what are we doing it for? So I think that’s the right move.” The rapper concludes that he needed to “shake things up” and he hopes the world “hears and enjoys” the track. They sure have heard it. But have they enjoyed it? The very first Elysium trailer is here! And finally gives us an idea of what the heck Matt Damon’s giant exoskeleton is for. Take a look: Elysium Trailer The film takes place in a dystopian future where an overpopulated and desecrated Earth has been abandoned by the wealthy in favor of an idyllic floating city called Elysium. Damon plays Max Coburn, a man on Earth who desperately needs to get to Elysium to cure a fatal illness. Now, as for that exoskeleton: apparently, it is used to “override” the system at Elysium and allow Coburn access. Seems like a key card could have done that trick, but… Damon is joined by Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, Wagner Moura, Alice Braga, and Diego Luna. Elysium will hit theaters August 9.
My name is Julia, and I am a 14 year old Belieber from Austria. I’ve loved Justin for almost 3 years now and I never believed that I would ever write my own Bieber Experience. Justin came to Austria for a concert on March 30th, 2013. When I heard about that, I bought Golden Circle tickets and I never expected that I would meet him but everything changed when I found out that Ticketmaster sold M&G tickets again! I had the money and I was buying them. I was the happiest girl on earth. The time went by so fast and suddenly the day was here. We were waiting for Justin for like 2 hours but while waiting, we saw Dan and we sang ‘Beauty and a Beat’ with Scrappy. I felt like I was dreaming, but then we heard that Justin was here. I was the 3rd person in line and my whole body was shaking. Security got me into the room where Justin was. Justin was standing in front of me and I couldn’t believe it. His eyes, his arms, his smile, everything was perfect. I’m so used to seeing him on my posters, computer and pictures everyday so this didn’t seem real. After we took the photo I didn’t want to leave and I took Justin’s hand. He stroked my hand with his thumb and I felt his wonderful soft hands. I was nearly about to cry. Then he smiled at me and I smiled back. I felt like this moment lasted for a thousand years. Then the security was shouting at me cause the next girl was waiting. Justin smiled at me again and also winked. I thought I was dreaming and after I left the room I just sat on the floor and I was crying my eyes out. My friend (who also had M&G) came to me. She was also crying too and we hugged for like 10 minutes. It was the best day of my life and I can’t believe that I’ve met the boy, who saved my life. Please guys Never Say Never and Believe cause one day you will meet him too, I promise. Justin is the cutest, hottest and the most talented boy on this earth. Missing Florida Man Swallowed And Consumed By Sinkhole The laws of nature can sometimes be fatal …. According to USA Today: Crews with heavy equipment on Sunday began the demolition of a Florida home over a huge sinkhole where a man is presumed dead after being swallowed by the earth. The search for Jeff Bush, 37, was called off Saturday, and a heavy machine with a large bucket scoop was moved into position Sunday. Hillsborough County Administrator Mike Merrill said he had talked to the Bush family on Sunday. Crews, Merrill said, would try their best to move the structure forward, toward the street, so the family can briefly enter to get belongings. “We don’t know, in fact, whether it will collapse or whether it will hold up,” he said. He said crews’ goal for Sunday is to knock down the house, and on Monday they will clear the debris as much as possible to allow officials and engineers to see the sinkhole in the open. On Saturday, Jessica Damico, spokeswoman for Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, said the sinkhole could stretch to as much as 100 feet across directly beneath the surface and plummet up to 60 feet deep into the earth. Bush, 37, was in his bedroom in the one-story home on Faithview Drive in Seffner, Fla., at about 11 p.m. Thursday when the sinkhole yawned directly under him, taking him, his bed and the rest of his bedroom furniture as well, Damico said. His brother jumped into the hole to try to save Bush but had to be rescued himself by a sheriff’s deputy. Five other residents, including a small child, made it out of the home unharmed, Damico said. Bush could not be rescued and is presumed dead. Two adjoining houses — one on either side of Bush’s — were evacuated by rescue workers. Sinkholes are common in Florida, but it’s rare when one opens up under a home and takes a person with it, Damico said. “I can’t think of anywhere in the country where this has happened before,” she said. “This is very unique.” Florida is highly prone to sinkholes because there are caverns below ground of limestone, a porous rock that easily dissolves in water. “You can almost envision a piece of Swiss cheese,” said Taylor Yarkosky, a sinkhole expert from Brooksville, Fla. “Any house in Florida could be in that same situation.” Wow. Crazy…and for those of you unsure of what sinkholes are exactly…via Merriam-Webster: sinkhole Depression formed as underlying limestone bedrock is dissolved by groundwater. Sinkholes vary greatly in area and depth and may be very large. The two main varieties are those caused by the collapse of a cavern roof, and those caused by the gradual dissolving of rock under a soil mantle. Collapsed sinkholes generally have steep rock sides and may receive streams that then flow underground. Soil-mantled sinkholes are generally shallower; they may become clogged with clay and hold a small lake.
