Inauguration Philippine President-Elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino will be held today, June 30, Friday at Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park of Philippines. According to the media reports from Philippines’ Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) yesterday, there are about 81 countries and organizations have confirmed attendance at the inauguration of president-elect Benigno Aquino III and vice president-elect Jejomar Binay today, The DFA said at least 21 states are sending high-level delegations. Eduardo Maglaya said that “Usually, Presidential Inauguration Day protocol dictates there should not be any other heads.” Further from him, “We have received a lot of requests from the international community to allow them to attend the inauguration ceremonies,” “Confirmations were easy to secure from those whom we invited.” There is a total of 110 seats at the Quirino Grandstand have been assigned for diplomats and foreign dignitaries. Philippines Comelec Proclaimed 3 Senators To Complete The 12 newly elected Senators

Philippines Commission of Election proclaimed today (1 PM, Tuesday) the winners of the last three (3) of the 12 spots as Senators until year of 2016. And these are: Former senator Sergio Osmeña III (independent/Liberal Party guest candidate) Incumbent Senator Manuel Lapid (Lakas-Kampi CMD) Bukidnon Rep. Teofisto Guingona III (Liberal Party) Despite the pending vacancy created by the election of Sen. Noynoy Aquino, the Comelec said it will not proclaim a 13th senator. According to the Comelec which is sitting as the NBOC, Osmeña held on to 10th place with 11,583,854 votes (as of late Monday), while Lapid and Guingona remained at 11th and 12th place, with 10,971,045 and 10,200,293 votes respectively. Akbayan Rep. Ana Theresia “Risa” Hontiveros-Baraquel remained at 13th place with 9,041,494 votes. Behind Hontiveros are Muntinlupa Rep. Rozzano “Ruffy” Biazon with 8,566,631 votes and Jose de Venecia III with 8,317,528 votes. They ranked 14th and 15th, respectively. Philippines Comelec Proclaimed 9 Senators

After Five (5) days of Philippines first nationwide automated polls, the Philippines Commission on Elections (Comelec) proclaimed nine (9) of the 12 winners in the senatorial race on Saturday at 3:20 p.m. at the Philippine International Convention Center. Officials of Comelec which the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) – announced that leading those joining the 15th Congress of the Philippines is reelectionist Senator Ramon Bong Revilla (Lakas-Kampi). Second among the senatorials winners is Senator Jinggoy Estrada of the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) joining with the Revilla in the Senate. Others proclaimed Senators winners are: Defensor-Santiago, Miriam of the People’s Reform Party (PRP) Drilon, Franklin of the Liberal Party (LP) Enrile, Juan Ponce (PMP) Cayetano, Pilar Juliana of Nacionalista Party (NP) Marcos, Ferdinand Jr. (NP) Recto, Ralph (LP) and Sotto, Vicente III of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC). According to the poll official on Firday, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) may proclaim the winning senators and party-list groups on Saturday. Comelec Commissioner Armand Velasco told ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda “Our target is tomorrow,” when he was asked when they will proclaim the winners in the senatorial and party-list races.
