This Guy Right Here Ain’t Sh*t

Meet Lamar Moore. Lamar thought it was a good idea to…. kill cops and keep 13-year-old sex slaves: Police said Thursday that they are investigating claims that Lamar Moore, who wounded four officers in a gun attack at a Detroit police precinct before being fatally shot, had abducted a 13-year-old girl and held her captive for days as a sex slave. Detroit Sgt. Eren Stephens confirmed police are investigating allegations that Lamar Moore had kept the girl chained to a toilet at a home on the city’s northwest side. Stephens said earlier in the week that Moore was being investigated in connection with a sexual attack on a minor. According to CBS affiliate WWJ, officers say the 13-year old was a runaway kept as Moore’s sex slave. Two days after the Sunday shooting, Moore’s home was destroyed in a fire that authorities say was set deliberately. Stephens didn’t specify whether his home was the one where the teen claimed to have been held captive. Stephanie Freeman, Moore’s fiancee, denied he had been involved in an abduction and sexual assault. Detroit police have declined to speculate on Moore’s motive in the shooting at the 6th Precinct, reports WWJ. They indicated not long after the attack that Moore, 38, may have been upset about a separate criminal case involving a relative. Source

Jared Lee Loughner Arrest Records, Bullying History: Revealed

On the day Barack Obama delivered a moving address at the Arizona memorial service for the victims of last week’s tragic shooting in Tuscon, new information about Jared Lee Loughner was revealed. According to police records, the 22-year old accused of killing six people and seriously wounding Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was arrested twice as a juvenile, once for marijuana possession and once for possession of alcohol. The first incident occurred in May 2006, when Loughner was admitted to the emergency room after consuming a bottle of vodka he later said he stole from his parents because he became “very upset after his dad yelled” at him. The second arrest took place in September 2007 following a traffic stop that resulted in cops discovering a joint in Loughner’s ashtray and a pipe in his pocket. Loughner was also the victim of bullying on more than one occasion. In September 2004, police were called to Mountain View High School after Loughner was “stuck with a pin – a stolen type needle, in the cafeteria,” according to official reports. Finally, in October 2008, Loughner contacted local police because he believed a former friend had posted a fake, disparaging MySpace profile about him. No action was taken, and none of this is meant as an excuse for Loughner’s alleged, horrific actions. It’s simply a look into the history of a seriously troubled young man.

‘Spider-Man’ Lead Actress To Depart Broadway Show

Natalie Mendoza leaving ‘Turn Off the Dark,’ New York Times reports. By Terri Schwartz Natalie Mendoza Photo: Bruce Glikas/ FilmMagic While one “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” actor is to Broadway’s most-expensive musical once he recovers from his injury, another is headed out the door. The New York Times reports Natalie Mendoza, the lead actress who after she was struck on the head with a rope, has been negotiating an exit agreement for days. Mendoza seemed to confirm her exit with the tweet, “Can feel a trip to India coming on & visiting my magic little orphanage Ramana’s Garden in Rishikesh. Raising funds as we speak. Be the change.” The Times learned of her departure from two people who work on the show and who spoke on the condition of anonymity. A spokesperson for “Turn Off the Dark” could not confirm to the paper that Mendoza is leaving, and a spokesperson for the actress declined to comment. The actress, best known for her role in “The Descent,” suffered a concussion November 28, and though she returned to the production three days later, she took another two weeks off after experiencing nausea and headaches. Mendoza played Arachne, the spider-villainess who becomes obsessed with Spider-Man. Director Julie Taymor created the character specifically for the mythology of the musical. The role required that the actress perform flying sequences while upside down, something she wasn’t able to handle after she was injured. Mendoza is expected to be replaced by her understudy, America Olivo. Mendoza wrote on her Facebook page Sunday that she was “almost back to normal” and had reduced her medicine intake to two nausea tablets and four painkillers a day. After a fourth accident December 20 sent stunt double and aerialist Christopher Tierney to the emergency room, the production instituted a series of new safety measures . Taymor released a statement saying, “Nothing is more important than the safety of our ‘Spider-Man’ family and we’ll continue to do everything in our power to protect the cast and crew.” Preview performances continue at the Foxwoods Theater in Times Square, and the musical’s official Broadway opening date is February 7. Check out everything we’ve got on “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.”

Doctors stood outside a hospital, trying to direct traffic, between ambulances and vehicles of regular citizens bringing in the injured. Friends and family clutched some the injured already in the hospital while others raced from the streets clutching the injured in the arms. [Updated at 2:04 p.m.] Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said Monday on state-run Bayon Television that 180 people have died in the water festival stampede. More than 4 million people were attending the Water Festival when the stampede occurred, said Visalsok Nou, a Cambodian Embassy official in Washington. [Posted at 1:55 p.m.] More than 100 people were killed Monday in a stampede that occurred during a festival near Cambodia's royal palace in Phnom Penh, a Cambodian Embassy official in Washington said. This story is developing. We'll bring you the latest information as soon as we get it. _____________________________ NEW PHOTOS JUST IN FROM BBC NEWS: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-11814045 _____________________________ (CNN) — A stampede that occurred during a festival in Cambodia's capital city of Phnom Penh has killed 339 people, officials said Monday. Another 329 people were injured in the crush, said Philip Bader, a news editor with the Phnom Penh Post, citing information given by Prime Minister Hun Sen in a televised address. Visalsok Nou, a Cambodian Embassy official in Washington, said more than 4 million people were attending the Water Festival when the stampede occurred. But other reports put the number at 2 million., said Steve Finch, a journalist with the Phnom Penh Post. The municipal police chief said that the stampede, which began around 10 p.m. (10 a.m. ET), likely occurred because a suspension bridge packed with people began to sway, creating panic, said Bader, who cited reports of people jumping from the bridge into the river below. Finch said police began firing water cannon onto a bridge to an island in the center of a river in an effort to get them to continue moving across the bridge. “That just caused complete and utter panic,” he told CNN in a telephone interview. He said a number of people lost consciousness and fell into the water; some may have been electrocuted, he said. Finch cited witnesses as saying that the bridge was festooned with electric lights, which may have played a role in the electrocutions. The government denied anyone was electrocuted. But a doctor who declined to be identified publicly said the main cause of death was suffocation and electrocution. Police were among the dead, Finch said. Officers with the prime minister's security unit stood outside a hospital trying to help those arriving with injured people and to control the scene of chaos. In one case at a hospital, relatives of a woman who had been confirmed dead discovered she still had a pulse and she was taken into the emergency room. It was not clear whether she survived, Finch said. Video of the scene showed hundreds of shoes, clothing and other personal items littering the streets, the bridge and the underlying water near where the festival took place. Ambulances dropped off the injured at area hospitals and then sped away, video on Bayon Television showed. Outside one hospital, doctors stood trying to direct traffic so that ambulances and vehicles carrying injured were able to get through. Dozens of people could be seen laying on what appeared to be the waiting-room floor of a hospital. They were attached to intravenous lines connected to bags strung along wires suspended in the air. The prime minister ordered an inquiry into the cause of the day's events and declared Wednesday a day of mourning. The three-day festival, which began Saturday, is held each November near the palace to honor a victory by Cambodian naval forces during the 12th century reign of King Jayvarman VII, according to the country's tourism website. During the festival, which includes boat races, participants pray for a good rice harvest, enough rain and to celebrate the full moon, the site says. added by: EthicalVegan
