Music and fashion icon Prince was rushed to the hospital Friday morning after his plane made an emergency landing in Illinois, reports TMZ . According to the site, the singer’s jet made an unscheduled landing at Quad City International Airport in Rock Island County, Illinois around 1 a.m. on Friday. After touching down, he was taken to an area hospital in an ambulance. The “Purple Rain” singer had performed a concert in Atlanta on Thursday evening before boarding the plane. While the nature of the emergency was unclear at first, sources now say that Prince had been battling the flu for a number of weeks. He had canceled two concerts last week but was determined to play the show in Atlanta, even though he was still ill. Once in the air, he began to feel much worse, so the private jet made the emergency landing. The 57-year-old was reportedly treated and released after three hours, and then hopped back on the plane. He is now resting at home. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer released his latest album, HITnRUN Phase One, in September 2015. Bored Florida Man Calls 911 To Discuss Hitler Florida police say a “bored” man called 911 multiple times to talk about random topics such as Hitler and Jews, was arrested and charged with misuse according to Click Orlando : According to the police report, Michael Gilman, 28, called the emergency line five times in five hours on Saturday after he was asked not to call unless it was an emergency. A DeLand police officer was then sent to a home on Becca Lane, where he heard Gilman still talking to the dispatcher “about Hitler and Jews,” police said. When the officer asked Gilman was he was doing, Gilman said that he was “…talking to your dispatcher, because I’m bored,” according to the police report. What the entire hell!?
Let’s be honest, Salma Hayek is better known for having big breasts than having a big sense of humor. But the actress may have just changed that. Hayek was taken to the hospital this week following an accident on the set of her new movie, Drunk Parents , which is something that happens from time to time with stars. But it was what Hayek was wearing that made this emergency room especially memorable. “I had to be rushed from set to the ER for a minor head injury,” the 49-year old wrote on Instagram as a caption to the above photo, adding/explaining: “Unfortunately my wardrobe for the scene was completely inappropriate for the hospital. “Thank you to doctors Foster and Ellspermann for taking such good care of me! And don’t worry it didn’t make me any crazier than I was.” Indeed, the picture featured on Hayek’s social media account depicts the beautiful actress standing between two smiling physicians in white coats. Hayek, meanwhile, is donning a loose-fitting T-shirt with an image of a topless woman whose breasts are cupped by a pair of mystery hands. HA! We love it. We also need this shirt. Hayek is in the middle of filming Drunk Parents , which also stars Joe Manganiello, Bridget Moynahan and Alec Baldwin. It centers on two parents who try to hide their financial problems from their daughter and friends through a series of elaborate schemes.
Finally, some good news for Suge Knight…kinda. It was reported yesterday that Knight was handcuffed to a hospital bed and the situation looked grim for the 49-year-old hip hop mogul. Knight was rushed to the emergency room moments after pleading not guilty to the hit-and-run murder of Terry Carter. On his arrival, he was found to be suffering from potentially deadly blood clots. The clotting was apparently the result of Knight being shot six times back in August. (Suge’s really had quite the year.) It was the second time in three months that he’d been hospitalized due to clotting, and some insiders suggested that this time, Knight might not make it. But now, TMZ is reporting that Suge is out of the hospital…and back in the slammer. After being treated with blood thinners, the former Death Row Records CEO is reportedly well enough to be treated in the prison infirmary. You know your life has really hit the skids when going back to prison qualifies as “good news.” As for Suge’s legal woes, it’s not currently known when Knight’s murder trial will begin, but if he’s convicted he could spend the rest of his life in prison. But this is a new one: Grant O’Connor was in the middle of a drug deal this week when he butt-dialed the emergency number, prompting dispatchers to hear every word of his illegal conversation and trace the call to O’Connor’s location, a Mexican restaurant in Mt. Pleasant Tennessee. When authorities arrived on the scene, they found O’Connor and a female friend pulling out of the parking lot. They stopped the vehicle and discovered inside a small bag of marijuana, along with assorted drug paraphernalia. O’Connor, who said he had no clue he accidentally dialed 911 with his rear end, was arrested and charged with simple possession and possession of paraphernalia.
