In a new documentary titled “How to Make Money Selling Drugs,” Eminem opens up about his history of drug abuse, detailing just how low he fell when his substance abuse issues were at their worst. “My bottom was going to be death,” he states in the following excerpt. Marshall Mathers Documentary Excerpt The rapper popped 10 to 20 Vicodin pills per day at one point and explained that his first experience with the drug was enlightening. “[I] didn’t feel any pain. It just kind of numbed things.” Eminem says he would lash out at anyone who claimed he had a problem (“I literally thought I could control it.”), but one overdose put things in perspective. “Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died,” he said of the incident. “My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn’t think I was gonna make it.” The artist says he relapsed about a month after this frightening ordeal. “I remember just walking around my house and thinking every single day, like, I’m gonna fucking die. I’m looking at my kids, and like, I need to be here for this.” So he eventually sobered up, acknowledging that it’s been a “learning process” and offered words of advice to anyone in a similar situation: “I would say to anybody, ‘It does get better, you know. It just does.'” The documentary opens on June 29 and also features interviews with Russell Simmons and Woody Harrelson.

Family Facing Eviction Following Shooting That Left Father Jobless And Blind A hard-working Detroit man is now seriously struggling to provide for his wife and 9 children after a shooting that took place earlier this year left him completely blind and without a job. via Fox News A hardworking family is facing homelessness. Their lives were changed by gun violence after the man of the house was shot in the head leaving him blind just a week after the birth of his youngest son. “I could see this evil face. He squinted his eyes up, and he had this gapped tooth in his mouth, and he just shot the gun,” said Sean Kelley. ”I felt something rattling in my mouth. It was the bullet in my mouth,” Sean said. “That was the last time I saw something.” Sean is completely blind. He was shot January 12 leaving a nightclub in Detroit. The bullet passed through his right temple destroying everything in its path and life as the Kelleys knew it. “He took my taste, my smell,” Sean said. “I can’t even enjoy my food. I don’t even know what it is.” Sean had to leave his job of 16 years at DTE Energy. His wife had to quit her job to take care of the family. They Kelleys have nine children between them, and the bills are pilling up. Sean and his wife will be evicted from their Lincoln Park home on May 8. “I made a vow and went before God and said I’d be with my husband no matter what, through sickness, through wealth, through poor, and that’s what I’m doing. Dorothy Hamill says she turned to Dancing With The Stars for hope during her fight with breast cancer. Now she’s looking to win the Mirror Ball herself. Her former Olympic figure skating teammate, Kristi Yamaguchi, appeared on Season 6, and Dorothy was so inspired, she decided to join Season 16. Her debut on last night’s DWTS premiere was worth the wait. Dorothy Hamill Dancing With the Stars Performance (Week 1) “It really is a dream come true,” she said. “I was a fan before, but Kristi really got me through when I watched her … it’s just amazing to be apart of this.” “It was sort of my reason to be going from week to week to watch her and root her on. She really did inspire me to feel good day after day through it all.” Dorothy admitted she was “not prepared” for the spotlight that was thrust on her as a young woman when she won gold at the 1976 Winter Olympics. Nothing could have prepared her for five years ago, either. “I was diagnosed with breast cancer about five years ago.
