Ladies do you like Ngo’s bawwwwdy??? We got some behind the scenes shots from Kaya Jones’ upcoming video “Boyfriend” and we figured we’d share since the clip features model Ngo Okafor, who we featured a few years ago as a “New Black Kid On The Block.” Former Pu$$ycat Doll Kaya Jones (www.kayajones.com) spent her Christmas on a Hollywood soundstage shooting the music video for the remix of her controversial single, “Boyfriend.” Helmed by famed director David Duhamel whose resume includes videos for Eminem, John Legend and D12, the racy shoot stars #1 male supermodel Ngo Okafor and reveals Kaya’s rockin’ new body. “Boyfriend,” the latest gay anthem is about a girl who gets dumped by her boyfriend because he now has a boyfriend himself. Despite the set being under complete lock-down to prevent details of the steamy shoot being leaked early — even fashion designer Traver Rains (formerly of Heatherette) was initially turned away by security when he arrived at the shoot — Bossip has obtained exclusive on-set pictures. The “Boyfriend” music video will premiere worldwide in January. ‘Musically, everything I do, I want to keep growing,’ rapper tells MTV News. By Rob Markman Fabolous Photo: MTV News Now that Fabolous has killed off his competition with Christmas mixtape There Is No Competition 3: Death Comes in 3s, the Brooklyn MC is fast at work on his sixth studio album, Loso’s Way 2. ” Loso’s Way 2 is a work-in-process. I put a lot in my mixtapes, but I definitely put a lot into my albums as well,” Fab told MTV News, referencing the DJ Drama-helmed TINC 3 and the upcoming album. “I know a lot of people like mixtape Fab, and albums, to me, you’re speaking to a broader audience sometimes. I take that at hand. I guess everybody doesn’t see that.” Since his rise in the late 1990s on DJ Clue’s street mixtapes, Fab has carved a niche as a witty lyricist, thanks to his clever punch lines and lyrics. It’s a style that he expertly employs on each of his mixtapes, but when the “Make Me Better” MC gets into album mode, he has a different focus. “With the album, I’m looking to evolve as well. Musically, everything I do, I want to keep growing,” he said. “I think people have seen my growth album to album. From Ghetto Fabolous to Street Dreams to Real Talk to From Nothin’ to Somethin’ to Loso’s Way, and now they will continue to see that with Loso’s Way 2. ” It wasn’t that Fab lacked substance in any of his previous works. On each of his LPs he included a vast array of topics, packaging party anthems, love songs and story rhymes. But while many of the top MCs like Eminem, Kanye West and at times Jay-Z began to open up about their personal lives, the largely private Loso remained so. Fab began to change things in 2009 when he released Loso’s Way. The #1 LP was anchored by Fabolous-style radio hits like “Throw It in the Bag” and “Everything, Everyday, Everywhere,” but the nimble-tongued MC also exhibited welcome artistic growth when he rapped about his love for his son Johan on the Marsha Ambrosius-assisted “Stay.” “It’s all a process for me; I’m in a different place,” he said. “My last album I was having my first son and now my son is almost 4 years old, so these are processes and you get to talk about those things. I will share them on the next album.” Since releasing “Stay,” Fab has seen much more of his personal life spill out into reality shows and the tabloids. His son’s mother, Emily Bustamante, is a star on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” and has been sharing tidbits of her and Fab’s relationship on the show. The rapper is not a fan. “It’s just not my cup of tea,” Fabolous told New York radio host Angie Martinez on her Hot 97 show earlier this month. “It’s one side of what’s going on. I don’t bash it, but I’m not really in support of it, either. I don’t think it depicts me the way I am. It just depicts a one-sided version of what’s going on.” Fab’s feelings about the show won’t deter him from opening up on Loso’s Way 2. “Children change a lot of stuff in your life,” he said to MTV News. “They change the way you look at things and do things. And I think the music will reflect that, too.” Are you looking forward to Loso’s Way 2 ? Tell us in the comments! Related Artists Fabolous
Music fans agree Adele ‘killed 2011’ with ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ but they have their own favorites too. By James Dinh Adele Photo: Columbia After MTV’s roundtable of experts chose Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” and Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” as the top two Best Songs of 2011 , music fans made their opinions heard, sharing their picks or voicing support for the chart-topping ladies and the rest of the top 10. Adele received plenty of backup for her Song of the Year win, including from Facebook user Cavisha Brown: “Guys, Adele killed 2011 with ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and ‘Someone Like You.’ Adele for the win!” Another Facebook fan, Alvaro Magui
‘I have never met anyone from Roc Nation,’ ‘X Factor’ whiz kid tells MTV News. ‘I’d love to, but I’m not signed right now.’ By Rob Markman Astro Photo: MTV News Yes, they both rep Brooklyn to the fullest, but Jay-Z has not signed “X Factor” ‘s rap wunderkind Astro. “I don’t have a check or a contract, so as far as I know, I’m not signed,” the 15-year-old MC told MTV News when he stopped by our newsroom on Monday (December 5). Last week, rumors that Hov signed the L.A. Reid-backed Astronomical Kid began to swirl online but the upstart rapper shot down the buzz. “I have never met anyone from Roc Nation. I’d love to, but I’m not signed right now to anyone,” he said. “Nobody ever hit me up about that — just go on the Internet and it’s up there. But I’m not signed as far as I know.” On last Thursday’s episode, after giving a Michael Jackson-themed performance the night before, Astro was eliminated from the competition. Not that he was sweating it. “Hey, man, it’s for the better,” the MC told “X Factor” host Steve Jones during his exit interview. “The only reason I’m mad is ’cause I don’t get to see my girl that lives in Cali, but I will be back. … I love my time. I’ve gained a lot of fans. People got picket signs tonight. I wish y’all the best of luck.” Astro wowed judges with his initial audition for the show when he rapped his own original composition, the viral hit “Stop Looking at My Mom.” And during his “X Factor,” run he took hip-hop hits like Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” and Jay-Z’s “Show Me What You Got,” effectively making them his own by adding new lyrics to the already popular beats. Now that he is off the show, the Brooklyn whiz kid is looking forward to getting back into the studio and eventually signing a deal. “I just want to be in a place where I’m comfortable 100 percent. I just want to be able to release my music, do my movies, [and] everything is fair,” he said of his dream deal. “I just want to be able to have fun doing it. I don’t want music to be a job for me; I want it to be something I’m doing for fun. As long it’s not a job then you’re straight.” Related Artists Jay-Z

Adele, Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars tie for six nods each, just falling short of West’s seven nominations. By Kelley L. Carter Kanye West (file) Photo: Getty Images For the second year in a row, a hip-hop artist is leading the pack in Grammy nominations. Although his name was only called for one category during Wednesday’s (November 30) “Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!,” Kanye West walked away with a leading seven nods, following the hip-hop trend set by last year’s leading nominee, Eminem . He’s nominated for his Watch the Throne joint album with Jay-Z and also picked up a few nominations — including Song of the Year — for his powerhouse collaborative track “All of the Lights,” which features Rihanna, Fergie and Kid Cudi. He’s even nominated against himself, with Watch the Throne and his own My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy nabbing Rap Album of the Year nods. West was followed by this year’s critical darling, Adele , who is tied with the Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars for six nods each. Lil Wayne and dance-music breakout Skrillex each garnered five nods. While the Grammys have a reputation for catering to an older demographic (Robert Plant and Alison Krauss for 2009 Album of the Year, anyone?), this year’s nominees are notably young, with 34-year-old West looking downright geriatric next to fellow nominees Adele (23), Rihanna (23), Lady Gaga (25) and Bruno Mars (26). Take a closer look at this year’s Grammy nominees through photos! The 54th annual Grammys air Sunday, February 12, on CBS. Here are the rest of the nominations: Album of the Year
Mixtape Daily looks at free Strange Clouds preview, E.P.I.C. (Every Play is Crucial), featuring Eminem, T.I. and Lil Wayne. By Rob Markman B.o.B Photo: Michael Roman/FilmMagic Mixtape Daily: Main Pick Mixtape : E.P.I.C. (Every Play is Crucial) Headliner : B.o.B Representing : Atlanta Real Spit : B.o.B is out of this world. From his underground 2009 single “I’ll Be in the Sky” to his Hayley Williams-assisted hit “Airplanes,” Bobby Ray has always fancied himself a different type of rap artist, and on his next LP, things will get stranger. His upcoming sophomore effort, Strange Clouds, aims to stretch the boundaries of music. “It’s all about the fusion between the outer limits and the inner limits, from the sky to the ground; it’s everything in between, above and below, so Strange Clouds, for me, it’s my ‘Twilight Zone,’ ” he told Mixtape Daily on the video set for his “Strange Clouds” single. But before B.o.B embarks on that particular mission, he gave fans a taste of what they can expect from the new album Monday (November 28) when he dropped his newest mixtape, E.P.I.C. (Every Play is Crucial) on DatPiff . During the course of 15 tracks, Bob serves an array of tracks that showcase his multitude of musical abilities. He’s spitting straight bars alongside Meek Mill and Playboy Tre on the title track, then experimenting with melody on “What Are We Doing.” The hard-as-nails “Boom Bap” is a hip-hop purist’s dream: The drum-driven track unites the multiplatinum-selling T.I. with underground hero Mos Def, and together with Bobby Ray, they go in without need for a hook, MC’ing just for the sake of MC’ing. Things get even better on “Things Get Worse” with Eminem, as Slim Shady brings the ATLien into his world of hysterical celeb-bashing. On “Welcome to the Jungle,” B.o.B tackles the Throne’s kinetic instrumental from their much-talked-about album. “Perfect Symetry” unites the “Nothin’ on You” star with Atlanta’s 2011 street king 2 Chainz — and then, of course, there is Lil Wayne on “Strange Clouds.” What a preview. Eminem and his little homie Yelawolf are shaking up the world! Listen to how they make fun of each other’s Whiteness. Eminem and Yela are the reigning golden boys of Hip-Hop, which makes Vibe and the rest of us wonder: is Hip-Hop colorblind? Have white boys finally taken over? And, if so, is that a problem? Anyway, here’s what the two had to say about each other: Eminem and Yelawolf on poking fun at their race: Eminem, what advice do you offer, if any, on being scrutinized for being a white rapper. Do you guys ever talk about race in that way? Eminem: We make jokes about it, but I don’t think we talk about it in depth. As I was listening to his music, I am not even thinking about any of that sh*t. It’s just the music. That’s one of the things that’s great about it. I’m not even thinking about it when I hear the music. Yelawolf: We do poke fun of it because it’s funny. Like, he calls me White Dog. Oh, you called him that on the BET Awards Cypher. I didn’t realize it was an ongoing joke? EM: Yeah, or Beige Sheep. [Laughs] YW: Cracker Nuts. Whatever, I think it’s kinda unspoken. EM: We deal with it enough as it is. So now, let’s make music. YW: Let’s make great records. At the end of the day, that’s all there is to do. Yelawolf’s thoughts on White Rappers using the N-Word: When Yelawolf heard the presumptuous white female rapper V-Nasty was peppering her sarcastic raps with the N- word, he called it embarrassing, telling VladTV that an N-bomb-dropping white rapper might find themselves “slapped up, and it might be by a white boy.” While he admits to using the word as a child, he says the word term is off limits for any white person, rapper or otherwise. “[In Alabama] we have a dark history concerning the relationship be- tween Black and white people. I’m not a role model by any means, but if I said it around the house I got popped in the mouth,” he says, noting that his Black friends used the word as a term of endearment for him as well. Eminem and Yelawolf talk about their past history with drugs: You mentioned getting yourself right. Are you completely clean these days as far as alcohol and drugs? EM: Except for the heroin I shot up this morning. Except for that, I’m clean. [Laughs] While you’re clean, Yelawolf here smokes weed and— Yelawolf: No, I don’t. I hear that in your music a lot. YW: I started smoking weed at 11. By 12, I was smoking dust. Thirteen, acid, Freon, special k, mushrooms; 16 years old, I was selling X pills at school. Not even because I was a good dope boy, but because I was a scumbag. It was called chocolate chip, and it had heroin in it. I used to take that shit and go to class. I went so heavy into drugs that I had a bad trip one time that lasted for months. More On Bossip!
