Shameless Producer Drops Hints About Season Two’s Lesbian Storyline

Remember the lesbian romance between Amy Smart and Emmy Rossum on the first season of Shameless ? Neither do we. That’s because after setting up some skintense sexual tension between Fiona (Rossum) and her new boss Jasmine (Smart), the show ended for the year without the two ever locking lips, let alone slamming clams. But now Shameless executive producer Johan Wells is talking to EW about what fans should expect for season two, and he says that although Fiona takes another job waitressing at a nightclub, Jasmine will still be part of her life: “Amy is still there; she (Fiona) just makes more money when she can waitress in the club. But Amy is still very much there around her character, and there’s a whole storyline about what happens with the two of them. [The attraction]‘s still there. ” C’mon, cougar/kitten scene!
