Kristin Cavallari served the United States of America proudly last night. The former Hills star looked stunning as she attended a Marine Corps ball in Temecula, Calif., with Lance Cpl. Jonathan Burkett, who asked her out on Twitter! Here’s the happy pair at the event, in a photo obtained by TMZ … Like Justin Timberlake , who attended one last weekend (there are many Marine Corps balls across the U.S.), Kristin Cavallari was reportedly the best date ever, humble but outgoing, and taking pictures with anybody who asked. She didn’t try to pull an early exit, either, staying until after they shut the place down. Burkett said of this season’s Dancing With the Stars contestant: “[Kristin] was awesome for sure. She looked very beautiful. Jay Cutler is a lucky guy.” That he is, no doubt. He better not blow the engagement again!

After dating the singer for several years, Trawick is reportedly planning to propose to the pop star once her tour concludes in Puerto Rico on December 10. She also turns 30 on December 2, another rumored date for their engagement, which sources close to the pair say is inevitable and years in the making. “Britney and Jason discuss marriage all the time. Britney is truly in love with Jason, and well, Jason has loved her for a very long time,” a Spears family insider says . Jason Trawick “adores her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and they are crazy about him. Jason is planning on taking Britney on a secluded getaway once the tour is wrapped, and it’s very likely he will pop the question at that time.” Legally, Britney would need her father’s legal sign-off to get hitched, given that he’s still the conservator of her affairs. An engagement doesn’t require that, though. Also, it’s likely that her engagement would mark a natural end to the conversatorship that’s been in place since 2008. Jamie Spears trusts Jason, and Britney. Britney’s family “is looking forward to the day that Jason will formally be a member of their family. Britney’s mom and Jason are very close,” a pal reveals. The actress was spotted without him or her engagement ring this past weekend in Atlanta, where the two are usually arm-in-arm. She recently attended the Watch The Throne concert at Philips Arena with only her publicist BJ Coleman and a friend. She’s also begun filming “So This Is Christmas” in Oklahoma. Slimm, on the other hand, partied in ATL over the Halloween weekend, but his pics don’t show any signs of Vivica being there with him. If you had 24 hours to live what would you do with it? This is the running theme of Andrew Niccol’s new sci-fi thriller In Time starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried . Given the fact that Justin has been in show business since he was a tiny tot and has seemingly done it all from television and world famous pop star to now making the bridge into becoming a movie star, I had the chance to ask Justin the same question at the premiere. California Love: What Would You Do With 24 Hours In L.A.? “It sounds cliche but I would spend it with people that I love and with my family…I could probably squeeze in a three hour round of golf, and then spend it with the people I love.” After following that up with asking if there was anything left he felt he hadn’t done that he’d like to do, being the charming and lovable character that he is, he jokingly said “I’d like to occupy Pasadena.” As for the film, I loved it. One of the biggest reasons being the concept is great. The thought of living in a world where time literally becomes money and seeing how that plays out in the confines of the world we live in today is quite interesting. The world Niccol created is very fascinating and will be one of the main things that will keep you engaged with the film from start to finish. In the film Timberlake plays Will Salas, a guy who lives in “the ghetto” as it’s called. Here is where people can only afford to live day to day, working to earn enough time to live to see the next day only to do it all over again. WATCH: ‘The Tanning Effect’: Steve Stoute Interview With Jay-Z (Part One) Because you can only live a year past the age of 25, many of the poor people in the ghetto, like Justin and his mother(played by the beautiful and talented Olivia Wilde), used most of their year’s time currency to pay bills just to get by. But when Justin saves the life of a wealthy man(played by one of my favorite actors Matt Bomer ) with over 100 year’s time on his life clock, the man gives a healthy portion of his time to Justin and the drama ensues. So why the age of 25? Niccol chose this age because it is the age at which the brain is fully developed and human beings are better at controlling impulse and wreckless behavior(see why you can’t rent a car until 25 now?). The theme echoed throughout the film is that “you can do a lot in a day.” And the beauty of what writer and director Andrew Niccol has done is not only create a unique world in which we get to view the same way we live our lives today through a different spectrum, but he found a brilliant way to remind us all that the length of our time here is both unknown and relatively short. The contrast between the richest 1% in the film having thousands and even millions of years to live on their life clocks while the 99% work tirelessly just to make it to have enough time to see tomorrow reflects brilliantly on the status of today’s America and the Occupy the World movement that has taken place in recent months. We often say time is money but in this world time is EVERYTHING. Time is literally money, power, and anything else you need it to be in a world where it is the only currency. Much like our rat race is to make as much money as possible, in In Time , the goal is to live as long as possible once that clock on your arm begins to tick and tock on your 25th birthday. Some people have slighted at the notion of taking Timberlake serious as a thriller/action type leading man but what seems to be a smart move by Team Justin is that the theme and story of the film is much bigger than the people playing the characters. Furthermore, Justin actually does a good job of playing the character and not feeling like you’re watching the guy from N*Sync shoot and run from people. The film tackles our obsession with youth(which is why Niccol shot the film in Los Angeles) and holds a mirror up to our lives that begs the question, What are you doing with your time? Because, unlike the people in the world Niccol created, we don’t have the luxury of rolling up our sleeve and peeking at a clock to see when it all ends. For us it could be today, tomorrow, or 50 years from now but the message of the film seems to say take the time you have now, realize just how precious it is, and spend it wisely. What you’re obsessing over may not truly matter at all and what you’re putting off just may be the things that adds a little more time to your life clock. In Time hits theaters Friday October 28th. “VH1 Divas” will celebrate soul music with performances from Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Florence + The Machine, Kelly Clarkson and Jessie J. The show will pay tribute to the cities where soul gave birth to music’s most powerful classics and inspired today’s divas. Each singer will pay homage to these cities and soul music’s timeless classics at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Not only will each act perform their own soul-inspired songs, but also some of the greatest classics that have shaped a genre. Their performances will be accompanied by The Roots, who serve as the house band. Their member ?uestlove will pull a double duty as a musical director. Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan of the NBA’s LA Lakers and VH1’s Basketball Wives fame, respectively, have announced their split. They had a nice run together, mostly. After calling off their engagement last year, but convincing the public they’re still a couple, the two confirmed the breakup we ALL knew was coming this week. Matt emailed out a statement today about the split from Gloria Govan (sister of Gilbert Arenas baby mana/Shaq mistress Laura Govan ), saying the following: “I’d like to address rumors surrounding mine and Gloria’s relationship. We’ve reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.” Gloria just tweeted her statement saying: “I’m sure you guys are hearing a ton of buzz about Matt and Me breaking up, sorry to say… its true!!!!!! But the most important thing is focusing on my kids and continuing to have a good relationship with their father, thanks for your support!!!” A heated Twitter exchange this month between Matt and a fan – who suggested Barnes should Govan or else someone else will – was a bad sign. Responded Barnes: “He can have her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Classy. Meanwhile, she Tweeted Saturday: “If someone is dumb enough to walk away, be smart enough to let them go. Former Bachelor and Bachelorette star DeAnna Pappas and Stephen Stagliano, the twin brother of Bachelor Pad winner Michael Stagliano, are married! The couple wed Saturday in her home state of Georgia. DeAnna Pappas, 29, walked down the aisle in a strapless Disney Bridal wedding gown with a birdcage veil and cowboy boots. “They were giddy with excitement,” an observer at the unforgettable affair said. “She looked incredibly happy.” Michael Stagliano and Holly Durst , his then-fiance and also a contestant on The Bachelor , originally set the couple up. Stephen proposed in August 2010. Durst and Michael Stagliano went on to win Bachelor Pad this summer, but he was caught off guard by her engagement to cast member Blake Julian. Pappas, who was rejected by Brad Womack the first time he starred on The Bachelor , became The Bachelorette and got engaged to Jesse Csincsak. That did not last long. But this one’s gonna be forever!
