Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell got married today in London. The Beatles legend, 69, and New York businesswoman, 51, have been dating since 2007, after he divorced Heather Mills. They announced their engagement in May. The couple were greeted with jubilation as they arrived at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, which was opened especially for the event. Here’s a photo of the newlyweds: Shevell wore a flower in her hair and long-sleeved, v-neck, knee-length ivory dress and shoes by her new stepdaughter, fashion designer Stella McCartney. Stella, whose mother is the late Linda McCartney, Paul’s wife of 29 years until her 1998 death, also made her dad’s navy blue suit for the occasion. McCartney’s daughter with Mills, seven-year-old Beatrice, served as the flower girl. Shevell’s college-age son, Arlen, was also in attendance at the affair. Famous guests included Barbara Walters (a cousin of Nancy Shevell , interestingly), Paul’s brother Mike, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison’s widow, Olivia. McCartney and Shevell waved to guests as they left the Town Hall amid a shower of rose petals tossed by guests. While fans were hitting up the movie theaters this weekend to see his film “50/50,” Rogen was busy marrying his longtime lady love, Lauren Miller. People.com reports that a number of Rogen’s pals and former co-stars, including Jonah Hill, Adam Sandler and Paul Rudd, attended the California ceremony on Saturday. The pair married in Sonoma in a location overlooking a nearby vineyard. A female rabbi married the pair with other friends like “Knocked Up” director Judd Apatow, his actress wife Leslie Mann and “The Office” star Craig Robinson in attendance. After the pair tied the knot they reportedly drove off in a convertible to another location for the A-list reception. A source tells Usmagazine.com that “the wedding was more laughs than anything else. Every other line was a joke and the crowd couldn’t contain their laughter. It was nonstop fun!” The festivities reportedly took place over three days. Rogen’s cancer dramedy, “50/50,” co-starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, opened on Friday and came in at a solid #4, right behind “Dolphin Tale” (#1), “Moneyball” (#2) and “The Lion King” (#3). Rogen and his writer bride met back in 2004 when he was a writer on “Da Ali G Show.” When he was on “Conan” last November he opened up about popping the question to Miller a couple months before, in September. “Literally, I felt like someone had given me like a truckload of heroin to hold onto, I felt like the feds were going to kick in my door at any second,” he said of buying the engagement ring. “I couldn’t have a conversation with my girlfriend. All I could think of was this ring. Like, ‘Don’t say ‘Lord of the Rings’! Coppola and Mars, frontman for Phoenix , said “I do” at a civil ceremony in the southern Italian hamlet of Bernalda, the hometown of Coppola’s grandparents. People.com reported that about 80 people attended the ceremony at a historic building owned by the bride’s famous father, director Francis Ford Coppola, who walked her down the aisle. She was dressed in a lavender gown designed by Azzedine Alaia, and the ceremony was officiated by the town’s mayor, Leonardo Chiruzzi. “Everything went well,” Chiruzzi told the Associated Press. “It was simple, calm, in the garden.” Another famous director, George Lucas, was in attendance. After the evening ceremony, the guests feasted on cheeses, figs, salads, pasta, fish, pork and, of course, the family’s wine.
