NEW SOUL KITCHEN is the ultimate cooking show featuring culinary superstars Chef Jernard Wells and vegan chef Porsche Thomas delivering soul food recipes with a healthy twist. Harlem based Chef JJ Johnson, one of the culinary world’s most sought after stars, brings his delicious delights to CLEO TV with celebrity friends and influencers on JUST EATS WITH CHEF JJ. During each episode, Jake and Jazz will enter the home of a millennial, help them turn their design dreams into reality, then conclude with a delicious recipe curated by our hosts to celebrate their redesigned space. CLEO TV also has two travel series in development that are slated to launch in Third Quarter 2019 — a travel and culture guide for Black millennials and a series centered on adventure travel. CLEO TV’S acquired, scripted digital series offerings include EVERYTHING I DID WRONG IN MY 20’S, which tracks the journey of 35-year-old Stephanie who’s in search of happiness and determined to learn from the mistakes of her past. THE UNWRITTEN RULES is a hilarious series based on the book “40 Hours and an Unwritten Rule” that chronicles young, opinionated Racey as she arrives at her new job only to discover she is the sole Black employee. Additional programs include popular web series that reflect the dynamic experiences of Black millennials, from adulthood drama to dating struggles. “The best part about CLEO TV is that program formats will be both a mixture of old and new school, and viewers will find shows that have a modern twist,” said Robyn Green Arrington, TV One’s Vice President of Original Programming and Production. “CLEO TV will bring to the forefront short-form and acquired programs that have only been in the digital space, which will give them more broad exposure and attract a new generation of viewers to the network. It will provide lifestyle, empowerment and entertainment lineups that mothers and daughters can watch together.” In addition to its original programs and acquired series, CLEO TV’s programming slate will include daily talk show SISTER CIRCLE LIVE and syndicated sitcoms that appeal to young women of color such as “Girlfriends” and “Eve.” CLEO TV will also feature some of TV One’s breakout original movies, such as BOBBI KRISTINA, JEAN OF THE JONESES and LOVE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT: THE MIKI HOWARD STORY. Mahershala Ali And Viggo Mortensen Tells Stories Of People Butchering Their Names

Continue reading here:

Make it a priority to go see Green Book starring Mahershala Ali. The movie tells the story of an unlikely friendship between Dr. Don Shirley a black classical pianist and Tony Lip Vallelonga an Italian bouncer who gets hired to drive Dr. Shirley through the Jim Crow south for a string of performances in a bunch of whites-only venues. I sat down with Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen , the stars of Green Book for an interview about the film where they open up about two of the best-acted roles of the year. You are likely to hear their names mentioned all throughout awards seasons. They chatted about working with one another, falling into these characters and we even got a laugh about how people mispronounce their names. Mahershala who puts on an epic performance as Dr. Don Shirley reveals they started building their chemistry before they started filming, “There is no greater feeling in acting, or in this craft than to work with somebody you feel like you’re with every step of the way. We just really did the dance from before we started shooting. From sitting in the hotel in New Orleans going through the script and reading it through together and we locked into something really early and it just never left us.” Green Book is one of the best movies of the year and right now it’s number 1 on my list. When I sit down and go back over all the movies I have seen this one will rank high on my list of movies. I’m sure you’ll see it in a bunch of top 10 list of other popular top ten list as well. There has been a lot of chatter about this movie and how it’s told from Tony’s perspective but in my opinion that doesn’t take away from the quality of the film. While this is a feel-good movie, there isn’t anything wrong with that. America is a racist country that continues to this day to have deep roots in that flawed ideology and just because one movie decides to tell the story of two people coming together despite their differences doesn’t mean it’s implying that racism is over. It’s just a story. The more movies they make like this the closer we get to a place where we can all get along. Green Book hits theaters everywhere Wednesday, go see with the family after Thanksgiving dinner.

Father Of Foul: All The Times Future Was Petty AF

The rest is here:

Source: splash news / Splash News Future went from melodic trap king to the petty godfather in just a matter of years. Not sure if it’s the Scorpio in him, or if the support of the Future-hive has made him feel invincible, but the Beast Mode rapper throws more shade than an Atlanta Housewife. Even his quotes have an underlying tone of potential pettiness and slight shade. He once stated, “I know I haven’t always done things the right way. I’m just trying to reflect on how to make myself better, how to become a better man, a better father, a better person, a better artist.” Just last week, Nayvadius got into with another professional shade thrower, Wendy Williams , after she ranted on her show about his many baby mamas and how the rapper needs to wear condoms. Apparently, Future caught wind of Wendy’s shade and took to Instagram to respond, writing “Thank God I’m richer than Wendy Williams.” We don’t even know what that means, we just know that it’s coming from the ultimate shady place.   Future turns 35 years today and what better way to honor the spicy Scorpio than to acknowledge his contributions to the culture. Although he’s done a lot musically when it comes to hip hop and pushing the culture forward, he’s left a larger imprint by how he moves in his personal life: very low key, yet very lethal. In honor of Nayvadius’ day, let’s take a look back at some of the petty godfather’s pettiest moments.
