We’re told Brown was going to perform with Combs and was in “great spirits,” hanging out backstage with “Page Six TV” co-host Bevy Smith. “[Brown] was very excited about the fact that she had the new single out with Nicki [Minaj]. She was in a good mood,” Bevy reported on “Page Six TV.” But spies further told us Brown was later requesting vodka and “falling all over people.” But wait, that’s just a tease of the struggle. Then again, the wobbling could have been due to a wardrobe malfunction. “She had a wardrobe mishap . . . [a designer] sent her two shoes for the same foot. She was in 6-[inch] heel boots that would lace up to the knee . . . so she was kind of hobbling around, but we were talking and laughing,” said Bevy, who did not attend the party after the show. We hear that at the bash, Brown refused to perform, and promoters are now threatening to sue unless she gives back the money. Source: NurPhoto / Getty Mac Miller ‘s sudden passing last week still remains something of a mystery as an official cause of death has yet to be announced. While speculation over how the young rapper died remains high, it has since come out that Miller was allegedly dead for hours ahead of his body being discovered. TMZ reports : Law enforcement sources tell us … when cops and paramedics arrived at the rapper’s home last Friday, it was clear he had died long before they got there. TMZ broke the story … friends came over the night before Mac died to hang out, and we’re told they stayed until the early hours of Friday morning, Sept. 7. Mac’s body was found Friday around noon. We broke the story … Miller died of an apparent overdose at his San Fernando Valley home. Cops say no one has come forward claiming they saw Mac alive after Thursday night. He was pronounced dead at the scene, after someone at his home called 911, saying Mac wasn’t breathing and was unresponsive. The emergency dispatch call came in as “cardiac arrest,” but apparently that’s because the person who found him may not have realized he was already dead. In Suffolk County, New York, vending machines featuring alleged makeshift crack pipes cropped up and police there have been cracking down in locating and destroying them. ABC 7 New York reports : Town of Brookhaven officials and Suffolk County police are trying to figure out who placed three potential crack pipe vending machines, dubbed as pen vending machines, in Coram and Medford. The town received complaints about the machines over the weekend. Two of them — one of which had partially destroyed by community members — have been removed. The blue and white vending machines, which featured the words “Sketch Pens” on the outside in black and red font, were mounted in cement into the ground and would dispense a small glass tube and a filter. Included was the top of a pen, which could be put into the glass tube to form a pen, along with an ink tube. Local outlet Pix 11 adds in its reporting that police in and across the Town of Brookenhaven have seized three of the machines with concerns there may be more. Crude in appearance, the machines spit out pens that, when deconstructed, featured the means to put together a pipe to smoke crack for the cost of just two dollars. “There are some people who think they’re going to make some money out of this and prey on a community and promote drug use in a community,” Brookenhaven Town supervisor Ed Romaine said on Monday (Sept. 11) at a news conference. “They’re going to be sadly mistaken.” — Photo: WENN
