Some sleuths online seemingly managed to figure out that Nicki Minaj will appear on the track, and the week-long delay of its release seems to confirm that. The Minaj Society Twitter account posted a tweet Sunday (August 4) that showed a Shazam result for “Hot Girl Summer” with Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign as the featured guests on the track. The pair sparked rumors last month after appearing on each other’s Instagram Live feeds, and Megan herself told her adoring fans that the song would be delayed a week for a rather special reason. It’s safe to assume that the Hotties and Barbz are going to be blasting this track for the rest of the summer should the Nicki Minaj cameo come to fruition. “Hot Girl Summer” drops on Friday, August 9. But no more, Deadline reports Mitchell’s role will definitely not be coming back and will be killed off on the show. The upcoming third season of #TheChi won’t feature one of the series’ leads, Jason Mitchell, who was let go in May over allegations of inappropriate behavior https://t.co/l4bhLdXdCq — Deadline Hollywood (@DEADLINE) August 2, 2019 Mitchell was fired after season 2 wrapped when misconduct allegations levied against the actor went public. Following Showtime’s TCA executive session, the networks President of Entertainment Gary Levine confirmed Mitchell’s character, Brandon will be killed off. When asked by Deadline if Brandon would get a proper ending following his abrupt exit, Levine stated: “There is a lot of great life in The Chi, and there’s also death in The Chi, and that’s how we’ll be dealing with it.” Mitchell was accused back in May of inappropriate behavior by actress Tiffany Boone who plays his on-screen girlfriend in the show. He was subsequently fired after multiple incidents continued to happen despite going through HR training. The fallout following impacted his career immensely. His MTV movie nomination was rescinded, his agency UTA dropped him, and he was replaced on an upcoming Netflix movie titled Desperados. Lena Waithe also faced backlash because she knew what was going on the set of The Chi but was accused of not swiftly acting. She is set to have a role in the upcoming third season of the show. This news also comes on the heels of actress Afton Williamson announced on Sunday she will be quitting the ABC drama The Rookie . She filed claims of sexual harassment and racial discrimination. Mitchell is still set to star in A24 studio’s film based on the captivating Twitter story that followed a stripper named Zola. That could all change, Mitchell’s star caught fire after his riveting performance as Eazy-E in the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton. Looks like it is fizzling out quickly. Kelly was in court Friday for an arraignment hearing for his racketeering and sexual misconduct charges in New York and was denied bail in the process. Variety reports : he singer, wearing blue prison togs over an orange shirt, pleaded not guilty to the charges through his attorneys, Douglas Anton and Steven Greenberg. While he looked ahead through most of the hearing, Kelly smiled ruefully and nodded briefly at girlfriends Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary, who were seated with two other associates of the singer; the two women each let out a sympathetic sigh as Kelly was led into the courtroom in prison togs. He did not address the courtroom except to tell the judge that he understood the charges against him. Attorneys for the government claimed that if the 52-year-old singer were released on bond, he would be a flight risk with a serious danger of obstruction of justice and noted the allegations of his sexual crimes against minors. They also noted his “lengthy and wide-ranging history of criminal conduct” and said that during his 2002 child-pornography trial, of which he was acquitted in 2008, there were multiple claims of obstruction of justice — specifically “paying off and intimidating witnesses not to appear” — and noted the assistance of his “inner circle” with those obstruction claims. Wack essentially called Blueface, Game, and Mozzy legit gang bangers while insulating that YG paid his way into the Bloods gang. In an Instagram post on Friday (August 2), Wack shared the post that read, “ONE THING I CAN RESPECT IS THIS – BLUE FACE CAME INTO THIS RAP GAME CRIP’N -THE GAME CAME INTO IT PIRU’N-MOZZY CAME INTO IT BLOOD’N-SOME OF YOU NI**AS WAS WEARING SKINNY JEANS AND DANCING WITHOUT A GANG SLOGAN COMING OUT YA MOUTH UNTIL YOU GOT ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY A SET.” The caption to the post stated, “Wish a n*gga would say a word I’ll embarrassed the f*ck outta n*gga playing with me !!!! Enough is enough if it’s on let it be on ….” YG replied to Wack’s post, writing, “You shoulda @’d me big gangsta og piru god father.” Wack fired back and confirmed in so many words that he was indeed shooting shots at YG. Source: Michael Campanella / Getty Swedish prosecutors have it in for A$AP Rocky . Reportedly, they want the Harlem rapper to serve 6-months in jail for his part in a brawl in Stockholm. The “Goldie” rapper insists he was acting self-defense. According to TMZ , the crux of the prosecution’s case is that A$AP Rocky hurled a bottle at the victim. However, witnesses say they never saw the rapper throw a bottle, although he admitted picking it up. Because of the bottle, prosecutors have requested to the judges that A$AP to do at least 6-months in jail. The sentence won’t be handed down for another week or so. Also, once again Donald Trump has tried to intervene , allegedly sending a letter requesting A$AP and his co-d’s be moved to a hotel. The letter is unprecedented, and the court rejected it. We get the feeling time served would have been more than enough if this was Aeson Rock. And you know why. A$AP’s mother, Renee Black (pictured above), has been in attendance during the trial.

Day 2 Of A$AP Rocky Trial Featured Testimony From Both Sides

Source: Andrew Chin / Getty A$AP Rocky has concluded the second day of his ongoing trial in Sweden with testimony from himself and the alleged victim, Mustafa Jafari. New video evidence has also been produced, which shows one of Rocky’s bodyguards brutally choke-slamming Jafari. The Blast reports : The Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has a reporter, Adam Westin, inside the courtroom for the second day of the trial who has been providing minute-by-minute updates. According to Westin (and Google Translate), when A$AP took the stand, he explained that he and his friends just wanted to walk around Sweden, get some air, and check out the sites. He said things were going well and they even took electric scooters to help get around. He said people started to approach his security guard but A$AP didn’t pay much attention and the security guard asked them to leave. Next thing A$AP knows, the security guard grabs the alleged victim by the collar and moves him out of the way. A$AP said the situation was a little scary and he said he “assumed that these guys were under the influence of some kind of drug.” Reports have recently surfaced that the 19-year-old Jafari had a record of assault, theft, and drug possession. In his testimony, Jafari claims he encountered Rocky and his team outside a burger joint and asked them if they saw a friend of his. From there, a verbal altercation allegedly occurred which ended with Jafari catching blows from Rocky and his security team. — Photo: Getty
