A charming comedy that reminds us all to find our true selves and live our best lives. Angela Bassett, Patricia Arquette and Felicity Huffman star in the upcoming Netflix movie that shows the other side of motherhood… Otherhood. After journeying to NYC to surprise and reconnect with their sons, empty nesters Carol (Angela Bassett), Gillian (Patricia Arquette) and Helen (Felicity Huffman) realize they’re more consumed with their adult son’s lives than they are their own. They go to the club, enjoy pizza (which turns into an erotic moment) and do the things they’ve always wanted to do. Otherhood hits theaters August 2nd. The Australian rapper recently dropped the visuals for her song “Fu** It Up” and it’s filled with more accents than a World Cup tournament. Granted, Iggy is paying homage to a 1990s high school classic Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion . S o her accent in the video’s intro utilizes some sort of Valley girl-Australian mix…clearly a long way from the Southern rap twang of her early days . Then, once Iggy starts chanting “fu** it up, sis” with Kash Doll (“sis?”…okay Iggy), her accent switches to some sort of East Coast, New York-Philly mix? Idk. This woman will have you confused.   Even her hair styles throughout the video are questionable. The colorful wet and wavy look has already been done to great effect by Nicki Minaj. The barbz would gag…and not in a dope “oh she’s fierce” kind of way.   You gotta give it to Iggy though…her production value is top notch. Aside from the questionable accents, appropriated lingo, and last season hair looks, the colorful video is quite entertaining. Plus, the beat is knocking. And I appreciate anyone who acknowledges the greatness of certain white girl comedy classics. Let’s not forget Iggy’s commendable visuals for “Fancy,” which paid homage to 1995’s Clueless.    *Sigh* I guess, Iggy gon’ do what Iggy gon’ do as long as people support her. Fu** it up *ahem*……….sis.

The Yonkers rapper is defending his decision to order pizza, but just the crust aka glorified breadsticks. According to Kiss, he’s on a health kick—and he’s not messing with dairy. Reports TMZ : Kiss says the viral image is actually from a year ago, and his good friend, the owner of Cuts and Slices pizza shop in Brooklyn, re-posted it after another pizza parlor announced it was now offering a pie made only of crust. Jadakiss’ odd order sent the internet into a tizzy … but he’s not dishing back the hate he’s received. He says pizza lovers should order their pies however they want, and he’s got nothing against peeps who pile on cheese. It just ain’t for him. ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Star Mendeecees Will Go Free In 2020

Source: Brian To/WENN.com / WENN Mendeecees Harris enjoyed notoriety as part of the popular Love & Hip Hop: New York cast alongside his partner Yandy Smith, but he was sentenced to eight to 10 years in prison for drug trafficking. According to an exclusive new report, Harris will see freedom next year and will have served just over half the time of his original sentence. Bossip exclusively reports : [Yandy Smith-Harris’] incarcerated husband and former co-star Mendeecees Harris is set to be released from federal prison next year after being sentenced to at least eight years for drug trafficking. Mendeecees’ release date is now November 2020, which means he’ll serve a little more than half of his actual sentence, according to records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Under a plea deal, Mendeecees admitted that from 2006 to 2008, he helped to ferry hard drugs from New York City to the Rochester, NY area. In 2015, a federal judge sentenced Mendeecees to eight to ten years in prison for his role in a drug trafficking ring that flooded upstate New York with heroin and cocaine. Harris, now 40, is currently housed in a medium-security prison in New Jersey after initially being jailed in Pennsylvania. — Photo: WENN

Source: YouTube / Youtube Beyoncé will be featured prominently in the upcoming Disney reboot of The Lion King as the voice of Nala, and she’s also dropping an album that will accompany the official film soundtrack. Queen Bey released the visuals for The Lion King: The Gift ‘ s album’s first single “Spirit” and it’s definitely epic. The video was filmed at the Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon, and styled by celebrity stylist Zerina Akers. In the clip, Bey flips outfits several times and her daughter, Blue Ivy, makes an adorable cameo in a sweeping shot. Source: A1 Visuals / A1 Visuals Reports are saying that the same LAPD members who were praising Nipsey Hussle and his work in the community were the same people who were secretly investigating him… SMH via: TMZ Nipsey Hussle was praised by the LAPD as a peacemaker in the wake of his death — a hero of sorts in his community for trying to stem gang violence — but it turns out the very same police department was secretly investigating Nipsey for possible criminal prosecution for alleged gang activity. The probe was centered around Nipsey’s Marathon Clothing store in South L.A., as a possible hub for gang activity … this according to The New York Times. It’s a stunning development, because the LAPD was both investigating Nipsey and embracing him at the same time. He was set to meet the LAPD Police Chief the day after he was murdered, to discuss gang violence. What’s more … a few years before his death, the City of Los Angeles was trying to pressure Hussle’s landlords to evict Nipsey from Marathon Clothing … this according to The NYT. As it turned out, Nipsey bought the building with some investors. Although the City can no longer prosecute Nipsey, the City continues to investigate Nipsey’s business partners.
