Although Priscilla Rainey was denied seizure of Game’s royalties this past April, it appears now she will have access to those monies until the judgment is fully settled. The Blast reports : A judge has ordered that rapper The Game won’t see a dime of his music royalties until a $7 million judgment is paid off. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a Los Angeles judge granted a motion brought by Priscilla Rainey, which will allow her to collect any money that comes in for The Game from his record label or royalties paid to him. In essence, all money that Game will be paid from Sound Exchange and the Entertainment One label will be seized until the debt is settled. — Photo: Getty
Source: Nuccio DiNuzzo / Getty R. Kelly isn’t going anywhere. A judge ruled today (July 16) that the accused child sexual predator will be held without bond as he awaits federal trial. According to the Chicago Sun-Times , prosecutors described the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer as “an extreme danger to the community, especially to minor girls” during a hearing in U.S. District Court in Chicago. The prosecutors also made sure to point out the extreme risk of Kelly obstructing justice. Part of the new charges he was hit with include allegations of paying off the families of accusers so they wouldn’t cooperate with the authorities . Kelly’s lawyer went with the there’s no way his client can flee because he’s broke play. “Unlike his most famous song — ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ — Mr. Kelly doesn’t like to fly,” Greenberg reportedly said. Well, the judge wasn’t having it. Kelly is currently being held in Chicago’s downtown Metropolitan Correctional Center. Right now, R. Kelly is facing 18 charges in Brooklyn and Chicago for various alleged crimes involving minors, including 10 victims. R. Kelly was acquitted of child pornography in 2008.

Kyle Kuzma took his anger to Twitter to voice his displeasure about being rated 78 in NBA2K19 while Ben Simmons was not too pleased about receiving an 87 overall rating in the game. Source: David Wolff – Patrick / Getty A$AP Rocky is still awaiting trial in a Swedish prison with several reports stating the conditions were less than satisfactory, and contact with the rapper has been minimal. The U.S. State Department has weighed in on the ordeal of the A$AP Mob star in a new statement. POLITICO reports : A State Department spokesperson said that the department is aware of the case and that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been briefed. Top officials at the department, including Robert O’Brien, the special presidential envoy for hostage affairs, are also closely monitoring the situation and working to make sure the rapper is treated fairly. “There are certainly some facts about the arrest and detention that raise concerns,” the spokesperson said. “We expect all governments, including Sweden, to treat American citizens fairly and with respect. … We hope to see ASAP Rocky and his colleagues back on tour and reunited with friends and family soon.” Swedish prosecutors must decide by Friday whether to charge Rocky, who is being held in solitary confinement, or ask a court to let them hold him longer. Despite video evidence that shows Rocky and his crew did not initiate the altercation, Swedish officials are still struggling with how to approach the case under the legal system. — Photo: Getty
Source: Jason Mendez / Getty Jermaine Dupri caught an avalanche of slander from a bevy of women rappers after he criticized them and compared them to being like strippers. After getting a strong lesson on women in the game that can do whatever they want in music just like the men are allowed, the veteran Atlanta producer announced the launch of a new women-focused venture. “After all the calls,DMs, angry tweets and other messages saying “I am a major gatekeeper in the hip hop world, why don’t I invest in a female who is out here hustling and making a name for herself?” I decided to create the #SoSoDefFemalecypher, details coming soon,” Dupri wrote on his social media accounts. On Twitter, R&B singer 6lack checked Dupri on the curious timing of the SoSoDef Female Cypher. women in hip hop don’t need representation/approval from men (ya cypher sounds more reactive than proactive). if u don’t have a fav artist that hits on the subjects u wanna hear, u could solve that wit a quick search & some support. plus, IF they do wanna talk about sex, they can https://t.co/9nX46FDUia — black (@6LACK) July 12, 2019 “[W]omen in hip hop don’t need representation/approval from men (ya cypher sounds more reactive than proactive). if u don’t have a fav artist that hits on the subjects u wanna hear, u could solve that wit a quick search & some support. plus, IF they do wanna talk about sex, they can,” 6lack wrote via Twitter. Source: Frederick M. Brown / Getty Looks like Jermaine Dupri has caused quite a stir on Al Gore’s internet. The music industry vet usually stays pretty low key, but as of late, he’s been a little more publicly vocal than usual. Earlier this week, JD chatted with People Now and dished on his feelings about the current state of female hip hop. “I feel like they’re all rapping about the same thing. I don’t think they’re showing us who’s the best rapper. For me, it’s, like, strippers rapping. At some point, somebody is going to have to break out of that mold.” Boy oh boy, did that strike a nerve. Many people assumed that JD was talking about Cardi B when he made the comment, and apparently so did she. The stripper turned rapper went off on Dupri during an Instagram Live session on Thursday. “First of all, I rap about my p— because she’s my best friend and second of all it’s because it seems like that’s what people want to hear. When I did ‘Be Careful‘ people was talking mad s— in the beginning like ‘What the f— is this?’ ‘This is not what I was expecting” She went on to name a slew of female emcees that don’t rap about “vajayjays” and stripping. “I feel we need to put these girls in more magazines and blogs. Radio DJs play these girls. These girls can rap they asses off and they don’t rap about their vaginas and sucking d—.” View this post on Instagram SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT A post shared by MOSTHATEDCARDI (@iamcardib) on Jul 11, 2019 at 1:48pm PDT And Cardi has a point.
