Finally it is being taken seriously by medical professionals. via: USAToday The World Health Organization made video game addiction an official mental health disorder. The Geneva-headquartered organization added “Gaming disorder” to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems or “ICD-11,” which goes into effect in January 2022. The condition is included in the global medical guide within a section detailing disorders due to substance use or addictive behaviors, along with “Gambling disorder.” The ICD-11 describes “Gaming disorder” as recurrent video game playing that leads to “impaired control over gaming” and an “increasing priority given to gaming to the extent that gaming takes precedence over other life interests and daily activities,” despite “the occurrence of negative consequences.” [ione_media_gallery src=”http://foxync.com/” id=”3554484″ overlay=”true”]

Source: Christian Vierig / Getty Meek Mill is coming for the Cosmopolitan hotel, claiming the Las Vegas destination is playing racist. Another artist who is co-signing the Philly rapper’s claims the spot having something against Hip-Hop is Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd fame. Swae told TMZ that he wasn’t feeling his treatment at the Cosmopolitan, claiming the venue was aggressive “to the wrong people.” “I feel him 100%,” Swae told TMZ. “I was just there and they’re really aggressive for no reason.” He added, “It was below 5 stars,” regarding his own personal treatment. As previously reported, Meek was trying to hit up the Marquee Nightclub at the Cosmopolitan, but he and his entourage were denied entry by security. The “Amen” rapper insists it was because he was Black, while the Cosmopolitan maintains he was denied because the venue was over capacity— so now he plans to sue . Meek squashed his beef with Drake, so it couldn’t have been that security was Team Drizzy. Check out Swae Lee speak his pieve below.
Source: Neilson Barnard / Getty G ame of Thrones star Kit Harington has reportedly checked into a wellness facility to cope with “personal issues” following the end of the HBO series. “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues,” a representative for Harington told Reuters . The 32-year-old actor has been treated for “stress, exhaustion, and alcohol use” as he tried to deal with Game of Thrones ending, Page Six reports. The actor played the heroic Jon Snow throughout the eight seasons of the HBO epic, propelling him from a relative unknown to international superstar. Throughout that time, Harington has admitted that the newfound fame has been challenging for him. “I felt I had to feel that I was the most fortunate person in the world, when actually, I felt very vulnerable,” he told Variety in an interview leading to the final season. Harington would seek therapy during the fourth and fifth seasons of the show, where Snow was killed and later resurrected. “I had felt very unsafe, and I wasn’t talking to anyone. I had to feel very grateful for what I have, but I felt incredibly concerned about whether I could even f—ing act,” he said. Harington checked in a luxury retreat in Connecticut, weeks before the series finale on May 19. His wife, GoT co-star Rose Leslie has been “extremely supportive” through his progress.
When Jay-Z spit the line “Blu lookin’ like Pac in the tub” most OG Hip-Hoppers knew he was referring to that 90’s photo spread which featured Tupac covered in gold jewelry while in a bubble bath. But while we’ve never seen baby Blu rockin’ the atomic number 79 like Makaveli, other rappers seem to have taken that notion and ran with it something hard. Just a few weeks after Future caught all kinds of flack for copping a Rolex for his son’s fifth birthday , Cardi might’ve now stepped in social media’s crosshairs herself as she done went and dropped $80K on her 10-month-old child, Kulture. PageSix is reporting that in a now deleted post, Cardi took to Instagram to demonstrate how she spoils her child by posting a pic a gang of iced out bracelets that she was purchasing for her mini-me with a text message from her jeweler informing her the collection would be ready by 3pm and the damage was a mere $80,000. In the since-deleted post Cardi wrote “Just spent a bag on my daughter, you know a bad bitch gonna spoil haa… If i’m iced out my daughter gotta be too.” Do she though? We get she wants to spoil her baby but this is kinda OD. Just sayin.’ Someone must’ve got in her ear and told her that wasn’t a good look because like we said, the post has since come down. What do y’all think? Should children who can’t even clean their own bottoms yet be wearing thousands of dollars in jewelry? Let us know. Source: Gotham / Getty Once again the decade-old allegations of 50 Cent being Hip-Hop’s Big Head Rico ( Belly reference) have been shot down. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the document circulating the internet which names 50 Cent as the dime dropper behind Jimmy Henchman’s arrest is indeed a fake. The document in question named Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as the Sprint man who pointed feds in the direction of his old nemesis, Jimmy Henchman for the 2009 murder of 50’s homie, Lodi Jackson. Having already fended off rumors that he had sic’d the feds on Irv Gotti and Murder Inc at the beginning of his multi-platinum career on Shady/Aftermath Records, the new allegation seemed more believable than not to his most staunch haters. But in a twist straight out of a Martin Scorsese movie, Fif took to social media to show paperwork which insinuated that OG Jimmy Henchman was actually a “Frank Castello” type street snitch himself ! But regardless of what 50 might’ve turned up, his reputation of running to po-9 to take down his enemies is well documented in Hip-Hop via rumors and records by rival rappers, but by the looks of things, it seems like this most recent one was a complete farce. In the doc, it says 50 called in anonymously at first to say the cops should be looking into Jimmy as a possible suspect for Lodi’s murder … and allegedly went on to tell cops that he was afraid for his own life in the aftermath. The doc says 50 told cops he’d cooperate with the investigation Thing is … we’ve been told the document is a complete fake. Law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of Lodi and Jimmy’s case tell us … the alleged report was never taken, and 50 was never recorded as having talked to officers working on the matter at the time. This probably still won’t be enough to convince his biggest skeptics that he’s never cooperated with feds to take down his enemies but if we’ve learned anything over the past few decades it’s that nothing can keep 50 from laughing and trolling his rivals all the way to the bank. — Photo: Getty

Source: Apple / iPod Touch Nope, this isn’t “fake news,” Apple is definitely bringing back the iPod Touch but with some new upgrades. The company that Jobs built announced it will be updating the device which hasn’t seen any improvements since 2015. The new iPod Touch still looks like its predecessor with a 4-inch display, a home button and comes in multiple colors but will be sporting a new A10 Fusion system-on-a-chip under the hood. The updated iPod Touch runs on iOS 12 like the latest iPhone models and will allow owners to launch ARkit apps and even start group FaceTime conversations. Unlike the latest generation of iPhones, the new iPod Touch does not feature Touch ID or Face ID so to unlock the device you will need a passcode. Also, it will feature a headphone jack, something we wished Apple would put back on its iPhones again. This latest move by Apple comes as a surprise, but we can definitely see the potential for Apple to pull in coins. The updated iPod Touch is cheaper than Apple’s latest handsets, $199 will get you a 32GB, $299 128GB device and if you got some extra money laying around for $399 you can purchase a touch with 256GB of storage. It’s gonna take you a while to fill that bad boy up. Now if you’re wondering who would be in the market for an iPod Touch, there are plenty of potential customers. This device would be perfect for the person who would rather have their music on a separate device, making more room for your photos on your phone. We can also see kids jumping to get the new iPod Touch because of it coming in six new colors space gray, white, gold, blue, pink and (PRODUCT)RED. Also, it works well with wireless speakers and does allow access to streaming platforms such as Apple Music which will help alleviate the strain on your iPhone battery and help you conserve juice. The new iPod Touch is available now via Apple.com, the Apple app, or the company’s flagship locations. This news comes on the heels of Apple “confirming”three new iPhone models . Do you see yourselves buying a new iPod Touch? Or do you feel this is just another money grab by the company? Let us know in the comment section below. — Photo: Apple / iPod Touch

Source: Epic Games/Nick Chester Back in December of 2018, the World Health Organization was considerin g adding “gaming disorder” to its list of recognized illnesses, and now the organization officially has decided to go on ahead with the move. Could the Fortnite craze be to blame for all of this? Sure does look like the game is a contributor to this problem. If you are one of those people whose video game playing takes up their entire day, neglect to do routine things like eat and gets highly upset when you take an L you have a severe problem. The 11th revision of WHO’s International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-11) has officially placed “gaming disorder” next to “gambling disorder” in its list “due to addictive behaviors” the disorder brings. The “gaming disorder” addition on the list includes both offline and online gaming that points out habits that can either be both continuous or episodic and is described as such: “Impaired control over gaming […], increasing priority given to gaming to the extent that gaming takes precedence over other life interests and daily activities, and continuation or escalation of gaming despite the occurrence of negative consequences.” In addition to “gaming disorder,” another entry included is “hazardous gaming” as “factor” that could influence a persons health status. “Hazardous gaming refers to a pattern of gaming, either online or offline, that appreciably increases the risk of harmful physical or mental health consequences to the individual or to others around this individual.” “The increased risk may be from the frequency of gaming, from the amount of time spent on these activities, from the neglect of other activities and priorities, from risky behaviors associated with gaming or its context, from the adverse consequences of gaming, or from the combination of these.” You cannot be diagnosed with both illnesses according to WHO. As you can imagine the video game playing community is not too happy about the news. Reps from the global video game industry which includes US, Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, South Africa, and Brazil all want WHO to hit the pause button and change its decision. In a statement, the gaming industry feels WHO reached their decision without “sufficiently robust evidence” and is “concerned [WHO] reached their conclusion without the consensus of the academic community.” Despite the decision to include “gaming disorder” on the list being agreed upon, it doesn’t go into effect until January 1, 2022. So there is still time for the gaming community to make its case to get them to not go through with the decision. — Photo: Epic Games/Nick Chester
