Kelly, aired on Saturday (January 5). For three nights, it explored disturbing details of R. Kelly’s sordid past and sparked outrage across social media. Prior to Thursday’s (January 3) premiere, Kelly’s lawyer Brian Nix reportedly threatened to sue the television network if the show aired. Now that it has, sources close to Kelly say the R&B legend is getting ready to “sue everybody who had anything do with this,” according to TMZ. The parents named her Gianna Iman Walker . Luckett shared the good news along with an adorable photo on Instagram of her baby girl. “Gianna Iman Walker. Born || 1/ 4/19. 7 lbs 15 oz,” the new mom captioned the sweet snap on Saturday. The couple, who also have a joint Instagram account, shared the same photo on that profile with a personal message: “Thank you Lord for blessing us with this gift…Gianna Iman Walker.” Gianna is Luckett’s first child and Walker’s second. We all knew this falling out was coming because that foundation was not stable. At. All. Kandi was barely getting over the drugging accusations that Porsha ignorantly threw around so willy-nilly. They both tolerated each other. Let’s get down to business. All the drama started when Porsha got kicked out of Todd’s Michael Jordan-themed, 45h birthday party. We cut back and forth between Kandi talking to her team and Porsha talking to her sister and Dennis. Todd was really out of the loop and Kandi only knew bits and pieces of what her team was telling her, primarily DonJuan and Jami. DonJuan and Jami explain that Porsha got mad that Jami’s friend, who used to date Dennis, tried to kiss him on the cheek. We all know that Jami and Porsha already don’t get along from when Porsha tried to fight her years ago for…who even remembers? Anyway, we also know that Porsha is a hothead. So, Jami said that Dennis and her friend were chatting it up and being friendly, but Porsha came out at the part where said friend tried to kiss Dennis on the cheek. Dennis claims that he pulled a matrix move when the friend tried to kiss him and kinda made it seem like the friend was coming on to him. Then Jami said that the friend started to walk away from Porsha, but that Porsha began escalating the situation and getting rowdy. Jami said she stepped in the middle and that Porsha chest bumped her. Porsha then said that someone from Kandi’s team kicked her out because they didn’t want anyone to act a’fool at Kandi and Todd’s event. That person from Kandi’s team corroborates that claim. Porsha said that the next day, #TheBlogs reported that she got into a fistfight, which wasn’t true, and she blames Kandi’s team, particularly Jami, for planting the story. She’s also pissed at Kandi for not following up with her. Meanwhile, Jami says that Porsha really needs to get mad at Dennis because, after the incident, he was allegedly texting her friend laughing and joking about the situation. Now let’s fast forward some more. At this point in the episode, we find Cynthia, Nene, Shamea, and Porsha together discussing the incident because they want to know how Porsha got kicked out. Porsha goes into her side of the story again and pretty much seems like the victim. But eventually they move on and Porsha finally reveals that she’s pregnant. They all erupt into screams of excitement and NeNe can breathe because she no longer has to keep this secret. But then Cynthia wonders what we’re all wondering: Why would Porsha put herself at risk at the party since she knew she was pregnant? All Porsha offers is that she’s upset at herself for putting herself in that position. Now Cynthia and NeNe want to talk to Kandi. So, let’s get to that moment. The entire group gets together—it’s a girls night at Tanya’s place. Let’s cut to the chase, it all goes downhill as soon as both women come face to face. They start off trying to explain their respective sides—as they always do—and then go into a full-blown argument. Porsha blames Kandi, Kandi explains that she didn’t plant a story and that she didn’t even know what was going on until after the fact. But then Porsha escalates by calling Kandi a b—h. The Dems line-up features diverse representatives including Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, the first Muslim women elected to Congress, Deb Haaland and Sharice Davids , the first Native women elective to Congress, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez , the youngest person elected to Congress at 29 years old. Less than a week in office and the new faces are already proving they’re not your typical Congress people. Rashida Tlaib made this even more apparent when a video surfaced of her dropping the F-bomb to a crowd of supporters. The Dream Hampton produced series documented the sexual abuse allegations against the singer throughout his 30 year career. Needless to say, ish got deep. The plan was also for Kelly’s celebrity colleagues to be interviewed about what it was like to work with the singer over the years, but according to Hampton, Jay-Z , Lady Gaga and Erykah Badu declined. Dave Chappelle , Mary J. Blige , Questlove and Lil’ Kim also declined to speak. Hampton told Detroit Free Press , “Most people just don’t want to touch it. [Questlove] was like, ‘I would do anything for you but I can’t do this.’ It’s not because they support him, it’s because it’s so messy and muddy. It’s that turning away that has allowed this to go on.” Quest also took to Twitter the day that Surviving R. Kelly premiered, just to make it clear why he wasn’t apart of it. He tweeted (then deleted), “I always thought Kels was trash. My reason for declining the RKelly docu that I support 10000000 percent is I didn’t wanna be in the ‘good times’ portion of the doc, like stanning for his ‘genius.’ I was asked to talk about his genius. I do not nor have I EVER stanned for him.” Usually something so heavy has mixed reaction. But after watching the series, most people unanimously agree that it time we be done with R. One woman, Whalesca Castillo , had been capitalizing on the trend by running an illegal plastic surgery operation in the Bronx. Sadly, her shady career allegedly ended up killing someone and Castillo now faces a manslaughter charge. The New York Times details her history of arrests in connection to illegal butt enhancements : “She had been arrested twice before, charged with providing illegal silicone injections in the Bronx to women who wanted to enhance their figures. One client had texted Whalesca Castillo after a procedure, complaining of leaking blood and liquid from her buttocks and legs, court documents said. Ms. Castillo replied by suggesting her favorite method for stanching a wound: ‘Buy some crazy glue and put it on.’ Ms. Castillo pleaded guilty in September 2011 to charges related to operating a fly-by-night plastic surgery clinic without a medical license, and served a year in federal prison. Released on probation, she was caught doing silicone enhancement procedures again in March 2014 and was sent back to prison for nine months.” This week, Ms. Castillo was arrested again in connection to the death of a woman by the name of Lesbia Ayala . Source: Splash News The site continues, “Ms. Ayala, 48, died on June 17 of an embolism after the police say Ms. Castillo pumped silicone into her buttocks and thighs. Ms. Ayala had traveled from her home in Philadelphia to Ms. Castillo’s apartment on Seward Avenue for the illegal procedure.” Castillo’s lawyer Robert Osuna stated he could not comment, as he had not yet read the criminal complaint. “We’ll have to see what the charges allege,” he said, according to The New York Times. As for how she ran her underground operation, Castillo reportedly received “hundreds of bottles of silicone gel shipped in the mail from the Dominican Republic, marked in Spanish as ‘silicone for hair’ or ‘for body massage,’” the site states. Kelly dropped out of school his senior year of high school. He was discovered on Natalie Cole’s television show called ‘Big Break’ in the 80s. Jovante Cunningham (R. Kellys background singer) claims at the age of 14 that she witnessed R. Kelly in a sex act with a minor during the recording of his song ‘Slow Dance’ the remix. R. Kelly met the aspiring singer Aaliyah through her manager Barry Hankerson and started working with her when she was 12 years old. In 1994 R. Kelly & Aaliyah did a BET interview dressed alike and were asked about their “relationship” where they never answered questions directly calling each other ‘best friends’. Jovante Cunningham claims to have walked in on Aaliyah and R. Kelly having sex in 1994 on his tour bus. Aaliyah was only 15 at the time. Demetrius Smith (R. Kellys Business Manager) claims to have witnessed the wedding between R. Kelly and Aaliyah. And even admitted to being involved with the forging of the papers. On the marriage certificate, it was stated that Aaliyah was 18 but she was actually 15 years old. R. Kelly was 27 years old. The marriage between R. Kelly and Aaliyah was annulled within 2 months. R. Kelly was reported to pay Aaliyah’s family $100 not to pursue legal action. Aspiring singer Lizzette Martinez met R. Kelly at age 17 at a mall in Florida. He pursued her sexually and she didn’t know what to do because she wanted a career in the music business. She claims he mentally and physically abused her. Later on in the relationship, she became pregnant but lost the baby. R. Kelly wrote “You are Not Alone” for Micahel Jackson about Lizzette. Lizzette caught mono from him and became very sick. She claims R. Kelly sent $1,000 to her family and sent her away. Craig Williams, a music producer, claims to have witnessed multiple underage women in beds his home and recording studio. Seeing this made him suspicious to the lifestyle R. Kelly was living. Andrea Kelly, a dancer, met R. Kelly as a teenager. She auditioned to be his dancer and got the part on his tour. A relationship formed that eventually turned into a marriage in 1996. Andrea claims she suffered many years of physical and mental abuse in their relationship. Sparkle (one of R. Kelly’s singers/proteges) introduced him to her niece, a rapper, at the age of 13 years old.
