Tom Cruise loves Scientology. This is not a press-stopping statement, as the actor recently came out and referred to the religion as special and beautiful . But a new report claims Cruise finds something else special and beautiful as well. Or someone else, we ought to say: yup, Tom Cruise has a girlfriend! And it’s allegedly serious! According to Us Weekly, Cruise has been “romancing a British woman” for several months. He is yet to jump on any talk show’s couch about her, so not many details about the relationship or the Tom Cruise girlfriend are known at the moment. Heck, we’re not even sure of her name. But the tabloid claims that Cruise and this unidentified new lover early met in London in early June when he was filming The Mummy. The two reportedly went on a date at that time to Bourton-on-the-Water, an idyllic village in the Cotswolds, two hours outside the city Of course, some Tom Cruise critics may have difficulty believing this story. It is a long-held stance by many that Cruise only dates women selected for him by The Church of Scientology. There’s been talk of girlfriend auditions and plenty of chatter over how his entire marriage to Katie Holmes was a set-up. But this Us Weekly cover story would have us believe otherwise. It claims that Cruise’s British girlfriend is “very normal and pretty” and has taken to living with the Jack Reacher: Never Go Back star at his rental cottage on the outskirts of London. “They go on bike rides through the countryside. Sometimes Tom’s sister would join them,” an anonymous insider tells the magazine. That sounds very sweet. But are you buying it? Cruise is very public when it comes to selling his movies and promoting them on various talk shows. He’s happy to discuss his professional life. But good luck trying to get him open up about anything personal, such as whether he’s seen Suri any time in the last three years . It’s been over four years since Cruise split from Katie Holmes and this Us Weekly source says he is eager to make his latest romance last. “He’s serious about this relationship and wants to make it work,” claims the tabloid insider. “Tom wants some companionship.” Awww! That’s so sweet! Also pretty sad and sort of scary if the Church of Scientology really is playing any kind of role in Cruise’s love life. But still. Did you need another reason to hate Teresa Giudice? Was her bankruptcy fraud not enough? The whining about her life? The self-centered attitude? The lack of self-awareness? The mind-numbingly spoiled behavior she displays at every opportunity? That’s okay. This Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member has now given critics plenty more ammunition. Speaking to Extra on Tuesday night in New York City, Giudice defended spoke out in favor of Donald Trump. This might be acceptable * if she was a fan of his economic policies … or believed he could best defeat ISIS … or simply thought Hillary Clinton was too corrupt to hold the highest office in the land. ( * Who are we kidding? Trump is a lying, dangerous, wildly ignorant bigot; there’s no acceptable reason to vote for him.) However, Giudice did not defend the GOP nominee against any attacks against his policy positions. She defended Trump against accusations that he has committed sexual assault or sexual harassment on numerous occasions. Asked about the multitude of women who have made these claims in recent weeks, Giudice said the following to the entertainment program: “I mean, I don’t understand, why come out with it now? Why didn’t they come out with it when it happened?” She added: “If a man touched me, I would come out with it right away. “I wouldn’t wait till he was trying to be President and then come out with it. When people come out [saying that], they only want their 15 minutes of fame.” SIGH . Must we really go over this again? Of course Giudice would say this. First, it’s easy to simply say this. Try experiencing actual sexual assault, Teresa. Second, Giudice is rich and entitled and has absolutely no idea what it might be like for a woman to be neither of these things; and to then be inappropriately touched by a powerful millionaire. Third, what if these women did wait until Trump was trying to be President? What if the incidents took place many years ago, but the alleged victims didn’t think it would be worth the disruption of their personal lives or professional lives to bring allegations against someone as powerful as Trump back then? What if they feared no one would believe them? That they would suffer the sort of insults and mockery that Trump has become known for? But now Trump is seeking to actually become President – and they think it’s maybe worth sharing their stories in order to prevent such a hideous human being from having his finger on the nuclear codes? Would that be so bad? Would that not actually be admirable, especially when none of these women has actually filed a lawsuit or sought any money or pose for any tabloid covers? But it’s eye-opening for the rest of us to see such idiocy on full display. The important (and hilarious) thing here is that Giudice cannot even vote on November 8 because she remains on supervised release after her prison stint. We’ve known for years that Jimmy Fallon has a problem with laughing. He used to often break character during skits on Saturday Night Live and he’ll frequently crack up over his own jokes while hosting The Tonight Show on NBC. But does Jimmy Fallon also have a drinking problem? Concerns over the comedian’s penchant for boozing reached such a crescendo in January that NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt actually addressed the chatter with reporters . “He’s good. He doesn’t have a drinking problem,” Greenblatt said many months ago, adding simply: “He goes out and has fun. He’s had some accidents. Aside from that, he’s in better shape than he’s ever been.” The nature of those accidents, however, is what started some people talking about this issue. Fallon severed his ring finger on a table in June 2015. He chipped his tooth “trying to open medicine for his injured finger” a few months later, as Fallon himself described it. In October of last year, he cut his hand on a bottle of Jägermeister. And in September of this year, a pretty wasted Fallon was seen alone at an New York City punk bar at 3 a.m, which sparked this latest round of NBC concerns. According to The Hollywood Reporter, meanwhile, Josh Lieb recently stepped down as Tonight Show executive producer after signing a deal with Universal Television There could be any number of reasons why he would leave Fallon… but could the host’s drinking problem be among them? A network insider tells The New York Post that some executives “ feared Jimmy was splitting up with his wife over his drinking,” although the two have since patched things up. But this doesn’t mean all is well for Fallon. “He is a heavy drinker,” another source tells the newspaper. “He sees himself as somebody who needs image rehabilitation… He knows he needs to be responsible. He has two kids. He has cut back on his drinking.” And while Fallon still hosts the top-rated show on late night television, a few staff members have left to work for CBS rival James Corden. This has just made matters worse. “Fallon is insanely jealous of Corden,” a source tells Page Six, adding: “There’s been some upheaval, and Jimmy hasn’t handled it well. Abraham’s Father, Michael, revealed to Radar Online that Bookout threatened to “kill” his daughter Farrah … which is why he intervened in the fight between Farrah and Amber . Michael told Radar , “I heard Maci tried to come out and she threatened to kill my daughter.” “That is wrong,” he continued, proving that the intellect in the Abraham family runs so, so deep. “Last reunion,” Michael revealed, “I went to her fiancé and said I was happy for their first child.” “I was looking forward to congratulating her on her marriage,” he continued. “Like any good father,” he continued, “from my point of view, I saw [Amber’s] hand touch my daughter’s face.” “When I saw [her] touch my daughter, that’s when I got between the two of them.” While Amber’s known for her anger , there’s no reason to put your hands on another person, even if it’s Farrah Abraham. … But especially if it’s Farrah Abraham, because heaven knows what other places that face has been. And speaking of where that face – and other parts – have been, Michael is insistent that his daughter did not “sell” her body. “My daughter is not a whore,” Michael said. “She has never sold her body.” Oh, snap, way to find that loophole, son. “She is not a prostitute, and those words have come out of our cast members’ mouths and we never got physical.” This is where the sense starts to fall apart, in case you missed that. Though Portwood claims that all the hearsay is false , Michael is apparently a testament to what happened. Even Catelynn Lowell got into the mix, saying that Farrah was terrified. “She cowered like a little bitch,” Catelynn tweeted. “[Farrah] was scared as f–k, the look in her eyes.” “She was terrified.” As she should have been, because damn, does it look like Amber can throw down. For her part, though, Farrah’s ripping mad and claims she’s going to take daughter Sophia off Teen Mom , since she’s, duh, the obvious star of the show. “Due to the three stooges,” she said, “I now will not have my child around an unsafe environment.” “Production is just as much to blame as the girls.” Oh, Farrah.
