Justin Bieber Bests One Direction: HE’S Number-One!

Justin Bieber has taken down One Direction. Both the artist and the attractive quartet of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Tomlinson and Liam Payne released new studio albums on Friday, November 13. But that’s where the similarities come to an end. Because Bieber pretty much blew his cute competition out of the water. By selling 522,000 albums in one week, “Purpose” joins “My World 2.0,” “Under The Mistletoe,” “Never Say Never: The Remixes,” “Believe” and “Believe Acoustic” as top-selling records for Bieber. This figure also makes “Purpose” the most popular album of 2015; the most popular in general since Taylor Swift’s “1989” last October; and the most popular since Eminem came out with an album in 2013. “OUR WORK IS DONE HERE,” Bieber’s manager, Scotter Braun, wrote on Instagram on Friday, adding: “#1 album #PURPOSE @justinbieber @sb_projects People stopped believing. We didn’t. Like I said…we love being the underdog. “Thanks for believing with us and believing in him. Congrats Jb. That’s one amazing album. Welcome back.” One Direction, meanwhile, sold 402,000 albums. Which is far from shabby. Both Bieber and One Direction had their moments at the American Music Awards on Sunday night: The former closed the ceremony with a medley of hits ; while One Direction won Best Artist for the second year in a row. With Styles and company now taking a one or maybe even two-year hiatus, it doesn’t look like this feud will have very many legs in the weeks and months ahead. Phuc Dat Bich to Facebook: Stop Shutting Down My Page! That’s My Real Name!

Phuc Dat Bich, an Australian man with a name so awesome that no one believes it’s real, has had it with Facebook shutting down his account. The social media giant may boast one billion users, but the awkward veracity of PDB’s name still stands out enough to get flagged routinely. His account has been suspended several times now, a fact he recently lamented in a post that went viral with over 200,000 Likes and Shares. “I find it highly irritating the fact that nobody seems to believe me when I say that my full legal name is how you see it ,” the 23-year-old said. Bich goes on, “I’ve been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive. Is it because I’m Asian? Is it?” He included a photo of his passport, shown above. “Having my fb shut down multiple times and forced to change my name to my ‘real’ name, so just to put it out there. My name.” “Yours sincerely, Phuc Dat Bich.” A few points worth noting here: It’s pronounced Fook Daet Bik in Vietnamese, at least according to the world wide Internets, not what anyone reading this is thinking. Phuc traditionally means “blessing.” Despite becoming an international story, this is still not as bad as some of the most absurd celebrity baby names of all time. Nevertheless, Facebook, which requires users to “provide the name they use in real life” for security reasons, really needs to step it up here. Why not have a universal way to verify one’s account? It’s not like an authentication process doesn’t exist, or who gets to use it is even that selective. If third-rate online journalists or Z-list celebrities like Taylor Lianne Chandler can somehow get the certified blue checkmark, why not us? Why not now? These great citizens of the world below surely concur. Short of everyone posting passport photos, Phuc Dat, there’s got to be a better way. Just saying.

The 35-year old reality star, who really hates being pregnant , took to her official website late last week and said there’s one thing that would make this whole baby-creating thing worthwhile: A really expensive piece of jewelry. “Do you guys believe in a push present? I never did, but all of my friends do!!!” Kim wrote online. “We have the funniest e-mail chains discussing it. One friend got a special diamond ring she always wanted, and another friend got a new car!” A push present is gifted from a husband to his wife as a way of saying “hey, thanks for having our baby, honey!” For the typical human, it may be a gift certificate to a salon or maybe a massage. For Kim Kardashian and her circle of wealthy friends, it’s apparently a diamond ring or a car. “I like the idea of a push present – after nine months of pregnancy it’s a sweet and well-deserved thank you,” Kim added. “We women go through an entire pregnancy carrying a baby…of course it only makes sense that we get something amazing to show how amazing we are! LOL!” So, what does Kim want from Kanye West as a token of his appreciation when she has the couple’s second son next month? “This pregnancy, I would love a Lorraine Schwartz diamond choker, like the ones I’ve worn before to the Art + Film Gala. Too much? LOL!” The bauble Kim has in mind costs approximately $1 million, according to sources. No, that isn’t too much for Kanye West to afford. Miley Cyrus and her X-rated ways are very much back. Not Safe for Wife or Work warning! After donning a fake penis and taking concert attendees by extreme surprise in Chicago last week, on the first night of her Dead Petz tour, Cyrus has now gone ahead and taken off her shirt. What else is new, right? Well… this music video for the track “Lighter” is new! “F–k yeah! After our 1st show in Chicago (which was totally turnt) we loved seeing y'all singing along to all the Dead Petz jamsssss but seemed like this one was a fan favorite!!!!!” Miley wrote to 46 million Facebook friends over the weekend. “For all of you who can't be with us in Detroit tonight and of course for all of you who will here is the official Lighter music video directed by me and Wayne Coyne featuring Jen Stark's bad ass animated kaleidoscopic projections!!!!!” The video is definitely different, that's sure. As different as a concert entirely in the nude, which Miley is supposedly considering ? No. But this is some mesmerizing, sort of psychedelic stuff.
