Bobbi Kristina Brown Removed From Hospital Under Doctor’s Orders

It’s been over seven weeks since Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious in her bathtub in her Georgia home. Brown has been in a medically induced coma ever since, and the 22-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston has shown no signs of improvement. Talk of removing Bobbi Kristina from life support began several weeks ago, but her father, Bobby Brown, has reportedly continued to hold out hope that she’ll regain consciousness. This week, the Brown family gathered to in Atlanta to discuss treatment options and make a final decision regarding Bobbi Kristina’s life support. Now it looks as though the difficult choice won’t be left up to the family, as sources say Bobbi Kristina is currently being moved to a rehab or hospice facility in accordance with “hospital policy.” “The hospital can hold you for so long,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “At that point you have to be moved to a different facility. “She is not being rehabbed. She is mostly being moved due to hospital policy.” Despite the move, which means that Bobbi Kristina may not receive the sort of intensive care she’s been getting up to this point, her family reportedly remains hopeful. “The family is hoping for improvements in Bobbi Kristina’s condition, but she remains in a coma,” says one insider. Glee Series Finale: Where Are They Now?

The final notes have been sang, the final tears have been shed and the final message has been sent. With  Glee Season 6 Episode 13 , this influential Fox series has come to an end. After going back five years during the opening hour of a moving finale, viewers jumped ahead to 2020, as Glee closed out its impressive run by giving us a look at where various characters ended up once their days in New Directions were truly over. To wit: Kurt and Blaine were happily living in New York City, being totally fabulous and starring at Lincoln Center in the first-ever LGBT take on Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Rachel volunteered to serve as the couple’s surrogate… and she also won a Tony Award. In her acceptance speech, Rachel thanked her husband (Jessie St. James), along with Mr. Schuester, telling the latter: “Dreams really do come true.” Mercedes remained very successful, while Sam was happily heading up the New Directions (merely one of four glee clubs at the new-and-improved, arts-based McKinley). He had also found another new girlfriend. Tina and Artie were contentedly coupled up and as cute as ever. Sue was elected for a second term as Jeb Bush’s Vice President, with Becky working as a Secret Service agent and with many track suits bearing the letters VPOTUS.  Sue returned to McKinley to close out the finale in order to dedicate the Finn Hudson Auditorium and to deliver an emotional speech about how she once thought glee club was silly. However: “What I finally realized [is] it takes a lot of bravery to look around you and see the world not as it is, but as it should be: A world where the quarterback becomes best friends with the gay kid, and the girl with the big nose ends up on Broadway. Glee is about imagining a world like that and finding the courage to open up your heart and sing about it. That’s what glee club is. And for the longest time I thought that was silly. “Blackballed” Mo’Nique Goes Rogue With New Independent Movie “Blackbird”

Mo’Nique’s New Film Tackles Being Black, Gay And Christian Mo’Nique says she’s been blackballed by Hollywood , so she’s blazing her own trail on the independent circuit. The outspoken Academy Award winner, who won acclaim for her portrayal of Mary, the abusive mom in 2009’s “Precious,” is back, this time playing a deeply religious mother coming to terms with gay teen son in the new movie, “Blackbird.” Mo’Nique and her husband, Sidney Hicks, co-executive produced the coming of age movie. “I know those mothers, who are in church everyday,” she said, “but still have a hard time accepting their baby.” “Blackbird” stars Mo’Nique and Isaiah Washington as the parents of Randy, played by newcomer Julian Walker. Set in a religious small town in Mississippi, the family has to navigate Randy’s budding sexuality as well as a daughter being kidnapped. “It’s a story that has to be told,” Mo’Nique told BOSSIP. “It’s necessary for the healing of people, and to allow people to start being who they want to be.” Mo’Nique said although “Blackbird” tackles homosexuality within an African-American family, the theme is universal. “When we say ‘homosexuality in the black community,’ I used to think the same thing too. That it was such a blow to the black community,” she told BOSSIP. “When we took this film out, there were white men coming up to me and saying, ‘That’s my story.” Up next for Mo’Nique is the HBO film “Bessie,” where she plays bisexual blues singer Ma Rainey. Mo’Nique said it’s entirely a coincidence that both “Blackbird,” and her next film, “Bessie,” deal with homosexuality in the African-American community. “It’s a story that needs to be told,” Mo’Nique said. “and the people telling it just happen to be black. It’s not a black movie. People of all colors want acceptance, don’t they?” “Blackbird” opens in theaters April 24.

Jill Blackstone, Veteran Talk Show Producer, Arrested For Sister’s Murder, Later Released

Veteran TV producer Jill Blackstone is under investigation stemming from the death of her sister, Wendy Blackstone, last weekend, according to police. At first, Wendy appeared to have died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning from a gas grill, but police believe the death scene may have been staged. Jill Blackstone is under investigation based a number of factors … Paramedics found Wendy Blackstone on the floor of the garage of the home where she and Jill lived. There was a grill in the garage, and ash in the grill. Wendy Blackstone, who was deaf and partially blind, was holding a handwritten suicide note … which the police strongly believe was written by Jill. The grill’s unusual placement at Wendy’s feet contributed to the investigators’ suspicion that it was a murder, and not suicide, that they had encountered. Jill was arrested for murder, but released last night after D.A. sent the case back to the police for further investigation. So she’s not out of the woods yet. She told paramedics she also passed out, but regained consciousness enough to ask a friend for help. That friend called 911 out of concern for Jill. The friend believed had suffered a stroke because her speech was slurred, and Jill had to be hospitalized for two days with carbon monoxide poisoning. She was arrested after her release Monday, then cut loose Wednesday. Wendy’s cause of death has yet to be released, pending toxicology results. The 52-year-old Jill Blackstone has produced numerous television shows, including the Rosie O’Donnell Show and the Sally Jessy Raphael Show . Liza Minnelli: In Rehab For Substance Abuse

Acclaimed actress and singer Liza Minnelli has been admitted to a rehab facility to treat substance abuse problems, according to multiple media reports. The star, 69, has already checked into the facility , the name of which is not being disclosed, confirms Scott Gorenstein, a spokesperson for Minnelli. “Considering she’s doing so well, we expect that she’ll be released shortly,” Gorenstein says of the celebrity, who has battled substance abuse over the years. She has sought treatment in the past, as well. In 1984, Minnelli was treated for alcohol and prescription drug addiction after the death of mother Judy Garland, who overdosed on sleeping pills in 1969. Said a lifelong friend of Liza’s at the time: “She’s living her mother’s career all over again, being the biggest star in show business, peaking out in films, the weird marriages, the pills, the booze.” In 2002, court documents revealed that alcohol reportedly played a role in her divorce from her fourth and most famous marriage, to, producer David Gest. Also a Grammy, Tony and Emmy winner, Minnelli is probably best known for the 1972 musical Cabaret which won her an Academy Award for Best Actress.
