Woe is T.I. Justifiably or not, the reality show the rapper was filming totally got him hauled back to prison. Officials believed he had people from the show on the bus that took him to his halfway house – a big no-no, according to official documents. If you’re not familiar with the story, here’s what went down: T.I. was released from prison August 31, under specific instructions to be transported to a halfway house to serve the remaining 30 days of his sentence. The rapper was/is serving 11 months for violating probation in his federal weapons case, after he was pulled over and police found drugs on him last fall. It was stipulated that he could ONLY travel with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and was not allowed to conduct business en route to the halfway house. But prison officials say T.I. also had his manager, along with two VH1 producers on board, chatting about his reality show as well as a book. Not kosher. The VH1 producers and T.I.’s manager have submitted letters claiming they were not conducting business on the road, but prison officials didn’t buy it. Officials were also livid about the rapper’s mode of transportation – a pimp ass tour bus ride – and claim that he did not disclose this prior to departing. However, new photos show him accompanied by a prison guard as he made his way to the bus that carried him and his entourage to the halfway house. T.I.’s legal team believes prison officials targeted T.I. when they picked him up at the halfway house and hauled him back to prison on baseless grounds. His attorneys believe prison officials have trumped up other reasons to justify sending T.I. back, such as who was on board and the reality show plans. Team T.I. claims he had a two-minute, casual conversation with the prison staff months before his release, and that’s when he said Tiny would be there. He never even considered who else might be there at the time, so his lawyers feel it’s absurd to hold him accountable for that now. Stay tuned …
Officials cite ‘transportation issue’ following his ride to halfway house in a luxury tour bus on Wednesday. By Gil Kaufman T.I. Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images T.I. barely had enough time to unpack his things at a halfway house in Atlanta before Federal Bureau of Prisons officials moved him to another location on Thursday. The rapper’s lawyer confirmed for The Associated Press that the MC has been moved from the halfway house he entered on Wednesday to another, undisclosed location because of a “transportation issue” involving T.I.’s use of a luxury tour bus to the facility. On Wednesday, T.I. was released from a federal prison in Arkansas to the community living facility in Georgia, where he was slated to serve out the rest of his 11-month sentence for probation violation. He was followed by VH1 cameras on his journey as part of a reality show slated to air in December that will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at his life with wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris. Lawyer Steve Sadow did not specify why T.I. (born Clifford Harris) was moved, but said the action was not drug-related and that he was working to resolve the situation. “There appears to be confusion surrounding the method of transportation,” Sadow said. T.I. left the Forrest City low-security prison in Arkansas in the tinted-window bus, which was followed by four other vehicles. “The storm is over & da sun back out. IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!!” the rapper tweeted shortly after his release. “Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!” CNN reported that T.I. was moved to the U.S. penitentiary in Atlanta on Friday. Sadow said Tip had offered to provide his own transportation between Arkansas and Georgia, but officials apparently objected to the use of the bus (and an attendant entourage of private SUVs) and were reviewing if it may have violated his furlough agreement. Starting off Saturday, Joe Jonas, whose actual birthday is Aug. 15, caused a splash at Liquid Pool Lounge when he spent the afternoon poolside in a VIP cabana with pals. “Female fans surrounded the area, trying to get a glimpse of [Joe] in his bathing suit,” a source tells us. Joe Jonas got a jumpstart on his 22nd birthday celebrations in Las Vegas – in a big way. Following his fun in the sun, Jonas and his entourage then headed to the Bellagio Hotel where they were treated to a meal from Aki
This morning, while interviewing the cast of Entourage about their final season on HBO (premiering Sunday), Matt Lauer begged to know whether they would consider adapting their series into a film. (Because eight seasons of the gang talking about nailing each other’s assistants while brunching at the Ivy leaves so much to be desired.) “We’re going to try really hard to make that happen,” Kevin Connolly promised the Today host and fans. But are you even interested in an Entourage film?
MTV News correspondent tries to coax Em to freestyle on first broadcast of ‘Sway in the Morning.’ By Rob Markman MTV News’ Sway Calloway hosts the first day of his new radio show “Sway in the Morning” Photo: Michael Loccisano/ Getty Images Sway ‘s a.m. takeover has begun. On Monday (July 18), the MTV News correspondent broadcast his first episode of “Sway in the Morning” on Sirius XM’s Shade 45 , and in addition to playing hip-hop’s hottest tunes, he conducted interviews with Bun B, Lupe Fiasco, Diggy Simmons, Estelle and “Entourage” actor Jerry Ferrara; even Eminem called in to toast the new host. “You played such a vital part in my career and such a big role in hip-hop, we’re just happy to have you,” Eminem, who owns Shade 45, said to Sway. But when Calloway asked for a freestyle, Em joked, “It might be dial tone.” Sway also unearthed an old interview that he conducted with Em, dating back to when the rapper first signed with Dr. Dre. ‘When Em got signed, he came to our house in L.A., and he was just like, ‘Man, I got this opportunity with Dre,’ ” Sway recalled of his and King Tech’s earlier interactions with Em on their legendary on-air “Wake Up Show” in the late 1990s. “Then we had him come up on the radio show to make that announcement and he busted a freestyle, so we played that segment.” That wasn’t all for the debut broadcast: Sway, who co-hosted with Houston on-air personality Devi Dev, played a portion of a never-before-aired interview with the late Tupac Shakur from the set of his “How Do U Want It” video. In the clip, ‘Pac expresses his love for Oakland and downplays the East Coast/ West Coast rivalry of the mid-1990s. “I felt like whatever I am, the Bay Area had something to do with making. So if I’m bad, they had something to do with making me. If I’m good, then they had something to do with making me,” ‘Pac says before showing love to the various cities where he spent his formative years. “Between the East Coast, the Bay Area, L.A. and Baltimore, those places made me.” “All in all, it was good,” Sway told us after the show wrapped on Monday. “We played a lot of hip-hop music and made a good relationship [with the listeners]. I’m going to try to tie in all of these worlds: MTV, Shade 45, pop, politics, culture, music, all of that. At the end of the day, that’s the vision for the show.” Related Artists Eminem

‘Even the strongest of love meets destruction at some point,’ the ex-porn star tells MTV News. By Rob Markman Sasha Grey on the set of Eminem’s “Space Bound” video Photo: Eric Ford/On Location News There have been quite a few takes on the meaning Eminem’s “Space Bound” video, in which we see two sides of a suicidal, love-torn rapper. Since the clip hit iTunes on Friday, fans have taken to comment sections dishing out theories about its meaning. Some have said this is another depiction of Em’s relationship with ex-wife Kim Mathers, while others likened the clip to a video game. And Eminem ‘s co-star in the video, Sasha Grey, has her own take on the video. Grey, who no longer works in porn, is now expanding her acting chops. She appeared, as did Em, on the seventh season of HBO’s hit series “Entourage,” and though the two never met on set, she got the offer to star in “Space Bound” at the request of the video’s director, Joseph Kahn. The clip features alternate versions of the Detroit MC, one agitated and cynical in the company of his girlfriend (played by Grey), the other more pensive and calm. “You can read into it a few different ways, but I imagine one character is actually him, and the other is his subconscious,” Grey said. Things begin to take a turn for the worse when the rapper discovers the love of his life is cheating on him. He later attacks her, then turns a gun on himself and commits suicide with a single shot through the head. “Space Bound,” like “Love the Way You Lie” depicts a tumultuous relationship in which domestic violence once again is a topic. “Em simply becomes company for her, and she mistakenly takes advantage of that,” Grey says of her character. “Before each take, Joseph and I would talk a lot about her motives and attitude. Her ultimate moment doesn’t come until the end, so I had plenty of time to build the fear!” Grey doesn’t have a clear-cut explanation of the video, but she ultimately sees “Space Bound” from a pessimistic view — hopeless romantics take heed. “I don’t know if it necessarily has a thorough message, but I think it shows that even the strongest of love meets destruction at some point,” the ex-porn star told MTV News. “Whether or not you come out of it together and whole is an entirely different question.” Related Photos Eminem’s ‘Space Bound’ Video Shoot Related Artists Eminem
