As if there weren’t enough reasons to love Kate Middleton, she’s decided to ditch plans to hire a personal housekeeper and dresser, reports say . All in the name of living royal – and married – life more simply. She was planning to hire a joint housekeeper and dresser to serve her and Prince William in their home, but recently jettisoned those plans. Her reasoning? She just doesn’t feel she needs one. The couple’s private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, told reporters the household will be reassessing what’s needed toward the end of the year. After their engagement and the royal wedding in April, William and Kate’s lives were in a “time of flux,” he said. Now, the royal family is working on developing the “infrastructures we need to support a young couple.” Kate Middleton will be taking hairdresser James Pryce with her on a visit to California as part of a modest entourage. By Akshay Bhansali David Guetta and Flo Rida perform at Ultra Music Fest Photo: MTV News MIAMI — On its third and final day, the Ultra Music Festival delivered a blazing one-two punch of trance and house star power for the 50,000 fans in attendance on closing day of the annual get-together held at Bicentennial Park. The Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am joined an impressive roster of house-music performers that included Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki, Erick Morillo, Robbie Rivera , Wolfgang Gartner and David Guetta. Dutch trance music star Armin van Buuren celebrated the 500th broadcast of his A State of Trance show, this time dubbed ASOT 500, in honor of the milestone. The show filled in the slot normally taken by Carl Cox’s stage on Friday and Saturday, and van Buuren brought some well-known trance-DJ friends like Cosmic Gate, Gareth Emery, Ferry Corsten, ATB and the night’s closer, Sander Van Doorn, all of whom helped to pack a few thousand fans into the tent, chest to back, to capacity. Just before 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, AVB joined friend/countryman/collaborator Corsten onstage. But a hug and a few jokes later and it was van Buuren’s turn to steer the ASOT 500 ship, and he throttled into his set. Van Buuren also held down hosting duties throughout the night, revealing in an on air-interview with ATB the pair have collaborated on a track titled “Vice Versa.” On the main stage, Gartner didn’t just hit fans with hits like “Spacejunk,” “Illmerica,” and his deadmau5 collabo, “Animal Rights.” He also tested out a few new songs, including still-unreleased gems “818,” and his next single, the electro-house banger “Forever,” which features vocals by will.i.am. Later, house legend Morillo blessed the crowd with three top-notch vocalists: Rachel Starr, former Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta, and powerhouse singer Shawnee Taylor took turns joining him onstage. Fans sang along with Taylor as she belted the hits “Stronger” and “Live Your Life” among others. Finally, Diddy joined his buddy Morillo onstage, dropping his bars from Dirty South’s remix of Diddy-Dirty Money’s “Coming Home,” a Miami Music Week DJ-set staple. David Guetta was feeling particularly electro-clubby. He hammered fans with hair-raising renditions of his material, kicking things off with “Gettin’ Over You,” and then a baritone horn-driven thumper of a tune that some fans may have heard days before at Mansion. Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am joined Guetta onstage at various points of the night, adding vocals to Guetta’s remixes of BEP hits “The Time,” and “I Gotta Feeling.” But probably the more unexpected cameo was Flo Rida, who showed up with an entourage of Super Soaker-wielding friends and charged onto the stage for the Guetta/Flo hit “Club Can’t Handle Me.” Perhaps the most moving moment of the day came when rising star Afrojack joined Guetta and addressed the audience. “Miami, last year, I played here for the first time, through David,” Afrojack said. “I had a great time. David is all about the love. David, I love you. Miami, I love you. This guy is the f—ing sh–! So Miami, make some noise for David Guetta!” Needless to say, the crowd seemed to agree with the 22-year-old Dutch phenom. They returned his request with a roar. The Umbrella singer is one of four celebrities who are taking part in the Tap Project – offering fans the chance to win a collection of bottled TAP water. Other stars joining the 23-year-old are Disney queen Selena Gomez, country superstar Taylor Swift and Entourage actor Adrian Grenier. The project encourages fans to sign onto the UNICEF Tap website and donate $5 towards the cause. Justin Bieber likes funny girls. The teen singing sensation – who has been romantically linked with Selena Gomez – has female fans all around the world but in order to catch his attention any potential girlfriends must have a good sense of humor, as well as pretty eyes and a good smile. He said: “I like girls with nice, pretty eyes and a nice smile. I like girls that are funny because I like to laugh and joke around.” While Justin is grateful for all the attention, he admits sometimes it gets too much and he is left fearing for the safety of himself, his entourage and his fans. He explained: “At a concert in New York last year they expected 1,000 girls and 10,000 showed up, so the security wasn’t ready for it. It was a security hazard for the kids ‘cos they were pushing up against the glass, so it was really bad. The worst time, though, was definitely in New Zealand where my mom got trampled.” Last April, the 16-year-old star’s mother, Patti Mallette, was knocked over by fans – who also stole his hat – when they mobbed him at an airport. At the time, Justin tweeted about the incident, saying: “Finally got to New Zealand last night. The airport was crazy. Not happy that someone stole my hat and knocked down my mama. Come on people.”
After appearing alongside R&B (that’s “rack & butt”) superstar Rihanna in his last video, tow-headed rapper Eminem is kicking the sexiness factor up a notch with his latest music video for “Space Bound,” the fourth single from his Recovery album. He’ll be starring alongside retired porn star Sasha Grey and acting out the narrative contained in the song’s lyrics. This isn’t Sasha’s first time with mainstream acting, the 23-year-old beauty, whose performance in Anal Cavity Search 6 won her the AVN Award for Best Anal Sex Scene last year, made her big breakthrough in 2009 as the star of Steven Soderbergh ‘s acclaimed film The Girlfriend Experience . She has also recently had a recurring naked role as a fictionalized version of herself on the HBO comedy Entourage . It makes sense that she would team up with Eminem, seeing as how she likes to make things melt in her mouth.
