The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 5 Recap: It’s the Plague!

The Blacklist got its Da Vinci Code on for The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 5 . The latest installment of this NBC hit was all about secret organizations and hidden maps in priceless works of art. And let’s not forget about those plague-ridden bones. Watch The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 5 Online The concept of terrorists using biological warfare is certainly a very real and a very scary one, but a group digging up ancient bones in order release the plague seems a little ridiculous. Not that The Blacklist is really aiming for realism on a weekly basis, of course. Once Samir and Liz were exposed, it was obvious a cure for this disease would be found So there was scarcely any drama to be wrought from their temporary quarantine. Still, we’re assuming most viewers were okay with this because there main focus was on Red and Liz. Did the episode reveal any more about their relationship? Red was anxious to track down a woman implied to be his daughter, though never confirmed, and he relied used both on his criminal and his legal resources to do so. Liz was jealous. But not jealous enough to reveal that Tom is hidden behind her basement door. In the end, Red tracked down the girl in question, Zoe Dantonio, and she does look a lot like Liz. But it remains unclear what this means and we’re left to wonder for another week whether Red is actually Liz’s dad. Sigh. Is everyone else as frustrated as we are by the series dragging out this key plot point? Would you like to see it resolved sooner than later? Go watch The Blacklist online via TV Fanatic if you need to catch up and sound off now!

The Good Wife Season 6 Episode 5 Recap: HACKED!

Note to every Internet user in history: When a random email asks you to click on a click… do not click on this link. Watch The Good Wife Season 6 Episode 5 Online Diane and the firm learned this the hard way on  The Good Wife Season 6 Episode 5 , an hour that attempted to juggle many balls in the air and ended up dropping most of them on the ground. We’ll start with this ransom-ware storyline, the show’s latest attempt to stay one step ahead on all things technology. (The Good Wife has also dealt with numerous piracy issues, Bitcoin, and the search engine universe, to name other examples with this field.) It just fell a bit flat. It seemed a bit hard to believe. Yes, it led to Kalinda meeting up with her gay federal agent friend and sleeping with her, mostly to secure information. But now tension between her and Cary is being teased (because Kalinda and Cary are totally getting it on themselves) and we can’t say there’s much interest here. Kalinda going back and forth between genders, and also using her sexuality to gather intel, has been done many times before. There’s a lot to like about The Good Wife, but the series has somehow never managed to make Kalinda’s private life one of those things. It’s hard to imagine Cary really expecting Kalinda to be loyal to him, and also hard for him to suspect anything is going on just by seeing her in the elevator with a woman. We adore Archie Panjabi in this role, but she’s making the right move by leaving. There’s nothing left to do with the character. The episode, meanwhile, tried to doing TOO MUCH with Elsbeth Tascioni. It’s one thing to make this Carrie Preston-portrayed attorney quirky… but they made her totally insane here! She was seeing penguins and clowns and it was interfering with her work in the courtroom and the whole thing came across as The Good Wife just trying too hard to be different. Elsbeth is best in doses. Finally, the best part of the episode was the Alicia-Peter confrontation in the hallway. He didn’t want to be on the same stage as Finn endorsing her for State’s Attorney because it would make Peter look small. The couple argued over just who needed who more, with Alicia bringing up those hookers in the past and Peter screaming at her to “LET IT GO.” It was an interesting look at a power couple who is only together for, well, the power and, to be honest, it’s not hard imagining Bill and Hillary Clinton having had similar disagreements. Overall, not the best installment of The Good Wife Season 6 . But they can’t all be winners. The Good Wife Season 6 Episode 7 is titled “TBD” and it airs on Sunday, October 26. Bad Girls Club Season 13 Episode 2 Recap: Judi vs. Natalie (and the World)

Natalie was the center of Bad Girls Club Season 13 Episode 2 drama, doing her best to wear out her welcome and win support from Nunn of her fellow cast members. Specifically, people were upset at how she’s been judging Judi. Watch Bad Girls Club Season 13 Episode 2 Online Her treatment of one of the other co-stars seeking Redemption this season on Bad Girls Club Season 13 Episode 2 was what really turned the house against her. A house that divided against itself, cannot stand. Or something. Life Coach Laura has her work cut out for her, that’s for sure. Of course, she also has the deck stacked against her hardcore. You wouldn’t have a Bad Girls Club: Redemption if these weren’t very bad, bad girls. Let’s face it, you don’t watch Bad Girls Club online hoping for a turnaround, for the ladies to become model citizens who are always on their best behavior. You watch it for the train wrecks to behave as such. If there was redemption in store for Judi, that would be a net positive, but her behavior is so out of control it almost seems like there are mental issues here. Like Amanda Bynes , she’s not a raging drunk, but she’s having conversations with herself quite often and seems to embody the traits of several personalities. She regularly takes “Judi time” to figure out who Judi is, yet it seems like she never really gleans the answer from that effort. This isn’t all about drinking. And why act that way voluntarily if you actually want to be liked? Which it seems like she does? This doesn’t make any sense and is really a bit sad. Natalie, meanwhile, is very much with it. She details a plot to get Judi so drunk on Hennessy, wine, whatever it takes to get her out … until she does an about face and starts to baby her instead. Is Natalie just perpetrating a scheme to worm her way into Judi’s good graces just so she can screw her over? If so, that’s doubly sad after watching this. Because it seems to really help Judi. Life Coach Laura talks a lot about how the season is not about shame, “just growth.” These two showed signs here on Bad Girls Club Season 13 Episode 2. Can they maintain? That’s a question that can only be answered next week, when the series returns. All bets are off. Just please … no one call Sam Lutfi .

The Voice Season 7 Episode 8 Recap: The Battles Continue!

The Voice Season 7 Episode 8 saw the Battle Rounds continue as the judges pit their treasure trove of talent against each other with only room for one to advance. Well, unless the coaches’ steal comes into play, that is. On the previous installment, three defeated singers profiled on The Voice Season 7 Episode 7 ended up being snapped up, which does make some sense. The show has an incentive to air the best of the battles, which feature two singers with the skills to move on. Yet it takes away from a little bit of the finality. Would Episode 8 be the same? Let’s find out … Jordy Searcy vs. Taylor Phelan (Team Pharrell) : Williams, along with Alicia Keys, focused on coaxing emotional performances in “Breakeven (Falling to Pieces).” It worked. The only problem was the big decision. Looking agonized, Pharrell ultimately chose Phelan for “the ambition he sings with, [which was] communicated very well to the audience and the world.” Alessandra Castronovo vs Joe Kirk (Team Adam) : Speaking of emoting, Levine asked the two young singers to battle it out on “Stay” by Rihanna. They delivered when it counted and then some. In a difficult decision, Levine ultimately chose Castronovo, which left the ousted Kirk, who was nervous and who Blake and Pharrell had praised, crying. Williams graciously walked him out and shared an exchange that tugged at the heartstrings. “Keep going,” Williams said. “If you stop now, then ‘no’ was right.” The Voice Season 7 Battle Rounds 1. Menlik Zergabachew vs. Troy Ritchie (The Voice Battle Round) Gwen Stefani matches Menlik Zergabachew and Troy Ritchie in a battle on Hall and Oates’ “Maneater.” Menlik Zergabachew vs. Tony Ritchie (Team Gwen) : With husband Gavin Rossdale on board her advisor, Gwen had the two do a reggae version of “Maneater.” Blake declared the result “the best battle of the day as far as I’m concerned,” while Stefani said “I wish I could put you guys in a blender and make one person.” The show will keep both. Gwen ultimately chose Ritchie, which prompted both Levine and Williams to quickly hit their buttons to try and steal Zergabachew. Williams said he loves working with singers who look different than they sound, and ended up with the services of Menlik when the Knockout Round begins. What did you think of The Voice Season 7 Episode 8? Which singers were the best, and who deserved (or did not deserve) a steal? Discuss in the comments!

Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 6 Recap: Expired Juice?

The waiting game continued on  Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 6 . For yet another week, a bulk of the hour was dedicated to Jax and SAMCRO moving from one alliance or club to another; striking up a deal with Tyler and the Niners here, making up with Marcus and The Mayans there, all aiming to take down August Marks in the end. Watch Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 6 Online The pattern has grown a little tiresome over the course of Sons of Anarchy Season 7 , as it’s difficult to even keep track of what moves are meant to accomplish what goals. Chess may be a fascinating game to play, but it’s a bit boring to watch, know what we mean? The decisions Jax are making right now may very well result in an explosive/shocking/suspenseful pay-off down the road, but it continuously feels these days as if Sons of Anarchy is spinning its wheels before arriving there. We can only watch so many meetings with so many fellow club presidents without rolling our eyes. In this case, it was a question of working out a deal with the Mayans and also the white supremacists (oh, and also the Grim Bastards; there are so many to remember!) to take down some African-Americans and leave their bodies at Pope Industries. Everything, of course, is building to the big reveal that Gemma killed Tara. Nero started to piece together something being amiss between Gemma and Juice after seeing that the latter drove the former’s car to try and strike his own deal with the Mayans. He wanted to trade it for safe passage to Mexico. But The Mayans turned Juice over to SAMCRO and we ended with them walking their ex-club member out… to his death? Hopefully we’ll find out next week. It was a welcome sight to see this storyline come to a head, as it’s similarly felt like a lot of running in place where Juice is concerned. But not this arc has to play out in some (likely deadly) way, shape or form in the very near future. Gemma, meanwhile, broke down and cried to Nero over what Juice might tell Jax. She didn’t specify, of course, leaving viewers to wonder if she’ll be able to come up with some new lie to cover her Tara-killing tracks. What did you think of this Sons of Anarchy episode? The Flash Season 1 Episode 2 Recap: Lessons Learned?

Following The Flash Season 1 Episode 1 , a premiere that drew rave reviews and huge ratings for The CW, Barry Allen learned a few lessons on The Flash Season 1 Episode 2 . The follow-up installment served to remind viewers that he’s only a kid, after all, as opposed to other superheroes who take on their heroic tasks in adulthood (hi, Oliver Queen!). Watch The Flash Season 1 Episode 2 Online This week, we witnessed a clash of viewpoints between Joe West – the detective who raised Barry – and Dr. Harrison Wells, the scientist anxious to explore The Flash’s potential West is concerned that speed isn’t enough. Is Barry truly a warrior ready for battle? Wells and the S.T.A.R. Labs team, conversely, are happy to let Barry chase down other meta-humans… yet want to draw the line at rescuing kittens from trees. They have self-serving goals in mind. But “you don’t know what you don’t know,” West warns the team of scientists. He fears they will get Barry killed. This house also centered on what Barry doesn’t know, specifically the details in fighting crime at  warp speed. For example, he’s still flying past destinations and he occasionally rushes off so quickly he forgets to grab a change of clothes. Oops! Barry also requires extra amounts of fuel to power his new metabolism. You know, like 850 tacos in one sitting. And that’s one of the appeals of this new series: Barry is clearly having a blast. Examples: the guy turns his hand into a makeshift centrifuge; he “stops time” to tell Iris all the things he wish he could tell her, yet cannot (NOTE: Iris is fixated on the “red streak.” It sucks for Eddie, but she clearly has a crush. Big time.) As for the Villain of the Week, Multiplex could duplicate of himself, yet didn’t really stand out in any way. That’s fine, however. We know Captain Cold is on the way and Barry needs to be the main focus here for a bit early on. The episodes concluded with Joe realizing that Barry’s partnership with Wells is the only way Central City can remain safe, but also with him emphasizing the personal and vowing to Barry: “We’re going to figure [your mother’s murder] out together.” We then see Wells visiting Simon Stagg, who wants to capture this “man in the red mask” and redefine “what it means to be human.” At that, Wells drives a dagger into his peer, explaining that The Flash “must be kept safe.” What did everyone think of this installment? Nail’d It Season 1 Episode 2 Recap: Who Did and Who Didn’t?

Nail’d It Season 1 Episode 2 marked the second episode of this sophomore series hosted by former Cheetah Girl and Rob Kardashian girlfriend Adrienne Bailon. Watch Nail’d It Season 1 Episode 2 Online The premiere of this intriguing new show introduced us to the aspiring nail artists looking for a career boost and the six-figure prize to help make that happen. On  Nail’d It Season 1 Episode 2 , the hopefuls who survived the premiere had to balance class with funk for clients consisting of music managers and other professionals. To make matters worse (or better, depending on how successful they were), there was a challenge involving both sugar and spice. Literally, and otherwise. It had a candy theme. This week’s competitors are Temeka, 30, Thao, 24, and China, 27, who calls herself “Bling Queen” in the third person, but backs up that talk with her work. So who prevailed? Each of the three contestants put a very different twist on this, and after Thao was announced the winner of the competition, she broke down in tears. Thao feels like her career now has legitimacy, as does China, who earns second place and another opportunity to compete for a chance in the finals. Poor Temeka is out, but she knows this isn’t the end of her career. In fact, her experience on Nail’d It proves she has what it takes to be among the best. After two episodes, we have Classic and Thao in the finals. Next week, three new competitors will create nail art that is the bouquet for a bride’s wedding. That should be incredible, and incredibly high stakes, given that it’s a wedding and all … not to mention a far cry from the candy scene in this episode. Doing fragile and highly scrutinized work on the most memorable and photographed day of someone’s life? Let’s hope the Bling Queen is up to the task.

Supernatural Season 10 Episode 2 Recap: Return to the Impala

We kicked off Supernatural Season 10 Episode 2 by going back June 21, 2003, where a 13-year-old Cole wakes up to find that his dad has been killed by Dean. We know, of course, that the man was possessed because Dean is gripping his demon-killing knife, but someone try telling that to Cole. He has spent his entire life readying for his revenge. And step one of that Emily Thorne-esque plan involves beating up Sam for intel. Watch Supernatural Season 10 Episode 2 Online However, Cole then receives a family phone call and Sam uses the opening to grab the first old truck he can find, calling Castiel for help. After learning Dean is a demon, Castiel agrees to meet up with Sam to find his brother – but he gets a tad sidetracked when he falls asleep behind the wheel, causing him and Hannah to hang out at a mechanic’s house while the car is fixed. Remember the days when Cas could have just zapped himself away somewhere? It’s then back on the road for Cas and Hannh… except he falls asleep again. So Hannah takes the sandbox to heaven to ask a favor of Metatron. Will he hand over some of Castiel’s grace for his freedom? No, Castiel interrupts and says he won’t allow Metatron to escape. (NOTE: The latter goes on to to refer to Castiel here as “ASStiel,” hehe.) Dean, meanwhile, gets angry when a strip club tells him he can’t touch the naked workers. He goes outside and there’s Crowley, who goes for a drink with his protege. He tells Dean he must kill or he’ll snap, so Dean agrees to murder a cheating wife… only for the husband to get home and refer to Dean as a “freak” and bite it himself instead. Crowley is now angry over being cost a soul. Crowley dumps Dean off on Sam after the two fight about whether Dean is on Team Human or Team Demon, with Sam finding Dean playing piano at a bar. Although Dean says he doesn’t want to be cured, Sam tell him that it’s time to go home. But then Cole shows up and knocks Sam out, finally coming to face off with his nemesis. Seeing Cole kill himself to attempt and get to Dean – with Dean not  taking him seriously at all – was the best moment of the hour. Heck, Dean even makes a Princess Bride reference. However, Dean doesn’t kill Cole. In letting him go, he provides Sam with enough time to grab some holy water and handcuffs and secure Dean in the backseat of the Impala. From there, Sam goes to meet Crowley and hands over the First Blade, which Crowley claims he wants for safety. In the car ride home, Sam says letting Cole survive was proof of Dean’s humanity. But Dean counters that allowing Cole to live with his loss after a lifetime of preparation was a fate worse than death. And then Dean threatens Sam while calling him “Sammy.” Darn. These two still have a long way to go. What did you think of the installment? Castle Season 7 Episode 3 Recap: Wait, Who Goes There?!?

An invisible man murder a pool hustle on Castle Season 7 Episode 3 . Wait… what?!? Did that really happen? Of course not. But it was a theory espoused by Rick at the outset of the latest investigation and the evidence even pointed Beckett in that direction for awhile as well. Watch Castle Season 7 Episode 3 Online Save for a couple quips here and there, this installment stayed away from the Great Amnesic Mystery of 2014, which is for the best. It would be irritating if the series focused too much on what happened to Castle without revealing meaningful answers. No one wants to be teased each and every week. So we returned to the land of fun, far our cases for the third hour of Castle Season 7 and it worked out well. Especially when the culprit really did turn out to be invisible. Kind of. Sort of. He was able to cloak himself at least. Even Kate felt the unseen’s brute force, making her a quasi believer. On the personal front, Rick and Kate talked about how they’ve “gone without” for months, something that was especially difficult for Beckett because she wasn’t amnesic the entire time! Martha, of course, interrupted the couple’s alone time at one point, but Rick and Kate still got to roll around in bed for awhile – and we got to see Beckett’s “invisible” boudoir attire. Very well done. Viewers also learned that to start saving for Grace’s $250,000 college education, Ryan is moonlighting as a bouncer. A strip club bouncer, that is. A MALE strip club bouncer, that is. It’s called Men-hattan. Amazing. What did everyone else think of “Clear and Present Danger?” Were you happy to just focus on an investigation instead of the bigger mystery of what the heck happened to Rick Castle? Sound off below.
