As much as I hate Emmy Rossum…I watched this episode of Shameless the other day, not because I like TV shows…or because I support anything in hollywood, but I will say it was refreshing to see a show mock Downs Syndrome, cover topics like tranny children, meth addiction deaths, sucking off the boss and fucking dudes with strap ons….in what was like one big mishmash of inappropriate sleaze….that almost reminded me of my life…a life that I thought would never get on TV….because it was too vulgar….but I guess these hollywood types just do it better….. And here are some of the tits from that episode… Emma Greenwell Galadriel Stineman Shanola Hampton
The network behind reality series Storage Wars, A&E, is responding to a recent lawsuit filed by star David Hester alleging that the popular show is rigged. A&E is vouching for its show ‘s authenticity as well as questioning Hester’s motives, accusing him of “a transparent attempt to distract from the issues.” Those issues include a dispute between the network and Hester over “improper use of AETN trademarks,” such as catchphrases like “storage warrior.” Yes, really. Also at issue is Hester’s reported attempt to get a new contract; A&E claims he is masquerading as a “crusading whistleblower” to stir up drama. In his Storage Wars lawsuit filed last month, Hester alleged that A&E committed fraud by planting valuable items and memorabilia seen on the show. He also claimed that when he confronted producers about this matter, which he took very seriously, he was unceremoniously fired from the show. David Hester is suing for wrongful termination, breach of contract and unfair business practices, and is seeking $750,000 in damages for his trouble. It doesn’t look like A&E is in a giving mood. This is war, indeed.
In an interview with The Today Show yesterday, Cissy Houston said she does not blame anyone for her daughter’s death. But Michael Houston taped an interview with Oprah Winfrey this week and admits that he got Whitney started on crack cocaine many, many years ago. Michael Houston Oprah Interview “You gotta understand at the time, Michael says. “[It was] the 80s… it was acceptable.” Houston does not absolve himself of playing a role in his sister’s demise, though. It’s clear the guilt is strong, as he explains: “It’s painful… I feel responsible for what I let go so far.” Whitney, of course, passed away in Beverly Hills last February after a drug overdose that included cocaine, Xanax and marijuana. This episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter runs Sunday night on OWN at 9/8c. Check your local listings.
The release of the first issue of a three-part prequel comic to Star Trek Into Darkness has lent some credence to the theory that the true villain of JJ Abram’s upcoming movie is not Khan or Gary Mitchell , but rather Robert April, the very first captain of the Starship Enterprise. HitFix’s Drew McWeeny first raised the idea late last year after Abrams’ Bad Robot held a press day for the feature, which hits theaters in May, and now Brandon Connelly at Bleeding Cool has posted panels from the prequel comic which feature April. Star Trek Into Darkness screenwriter/producer Roberto Orci has said that the film’s will be a canon character, and April is. He was introduced in the animated Star Trek series that ran for 22 episodes in 1973 and ’74. As McWeeny notes below, although Bad Robot has not confirmed that April figures in Star Trek Into Darkness , the plot of the animated episode that featured April appears to dovetail with aspects of the movie that have been revealed so far: He first appeared in the animated series, and in the episode where he appeared, it was established that he was was the first Captain of the Enterprise, even before Pike. He was much older in the episode, “The Counter-Clock Incident,” which you can watch right now if you have NetFlix Instant. In that episode, everyone on the Enterprise starts to age backwards, and by the time they’re all kids, unable to fix the problem, only April and his wife are still old enough to figure out how to reverse the process. April figuring out that mechanism for how to control aging and even reverse it could be an important part of the plot for “Star Trek Into Darkness.” If you saw the first nine minutes of the film in front of ” The Hobbit ,” then you already know that the film opens with a London couple driving to the hospital where their daughter lies immobilized, and from the few shots we see of her, she appears to be aging too rapidly. At the end of that scene, her father (Noel Clarke) steps outside for some air, and that’s when Cumberbatch shows up and tells him, “I can cure her.” As McWeeny points out in his post, Peter Weller , who’s also in STID could very well turn out to be April instead of Cumberbatch, who Abrams has chosen to identify simply as John Harrison . Whoever he turns out to be when the movie finally premieres, one thing is clear: this whole who-is-Benedict-Cumberbatch? mystery is brilliant guerrilla marketing on Bad Robot’s part. Here’s the revealing comic panel that Bleeding Cool posted. It’s the final page of the first issue of Star Trek: Countdown to Darkness. Ewan McGregor is a veteran of three Star Wars manifestations and has indicated he’d go for a fourth round should he be asked by the franchise’s new owners. McGregor played a young Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace , Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and he said he’d be up for a return to the galaxy far, far away once more. “I guess, yeah, of course,” said McGregor to Digital Spy about a potential return. “If they need me, yeah, I’d be happy [to go back].” Speaking with Moviefone earlier this year, McGregor said that his experience was a good one and that Star Wars had gained him some young fans. “It was great to be involved in – to be in that franchise and that legend of Star Wars is really satisfying. It’s nice. Children speak to me about it – before then there hadn’t been many films that I made that children would have watched. I’ve always been very happy about it.” Disney bought Lucasfilm in October for $4.05 billion in a surprising high-profile purchase and is planning to make Episodes VII, VIII and IX as a result. You guys know we love Anderson Cooper over here , so we were thrilled to have our Sr. Editor Janeé Bolden in the “Anderson Live” audience as “Blogger of the Day” for Friday’s show. In case you didn’t see the episode yourselves, here’s what Janeé had to say about it: It was a real joy taking a little break from the gossip blogging to live tweet for Anderson Live today — but it turns out I still got my celebrity fix. I have to give Anderson and guest host Nancy Grace credit for calling my attention to talk of Jay-Z and Beyoncé and other stars partying it up this week in NYC while many other residents were still without heat and power. We don’t miss much when it comes to that couple so it was a great talking point to kick off the show. Of course Hurricane Sandy dominated much of the discussion, with Anderson and Nancy weighing in that perhaps now might not be the best time for NYC to go forward with the NY marathon. I threw the question out to our Twitter followers and many suggested that we have the runners volunteer toward recovery efforts rather than race, while the majority of responses agreed that the marathon should be rescheduled. I had the honor of having a dressing room next to Glitzy the Pig’s, so like Anderson I also had a chance to meet Honey Boo Boo’s former pet. Anderson showed a lot more bravery than I did though, because he actually held that thing! And long enough for it to stop squealing… I also enjoyed seeing Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members Phaedra Parks and Porsha Stewart . Phaedra managed to get a little shameless self promotion in for her side hustles doing a fitness video and running a mortuary business. When I tweeted the name of the workout DVD (Donkey Booty) some of the responses were pure comedy. I’m not sure Phaedra will live up to her goal of becoming the Vera Wang of funerals but she’s definitely proven she has some entertainment value. The main segment on Chris and Brittni Colleps was pretty difficult to stomach. We’ve featured Brittni on Bossip.com before so I was familiar with her case. She’s the former Texas high school teacher who was video taped having sex with five of her students — despite being married with three kids! The audience was definitely shocked with the details of the case, but I couldn’t help but feel a little bit bad for Brittni. Not only was she apologetic, her hubby Chris has also forgiven her and credits their faith in God with helping their marriage survive. Chris even blames himself because he committed adultery first! Still, if the five years she was sentenced to in jail weren’t bad enough, Nancy dished out a pretty tough tongue lashing that was only slightly outdone by an audience member! I wouldn’t be able to do justice to what the man (who was also a teacher) had to say, so you guys will definitely have to check out the episode and see for yourselves. Thanks again to Anderson Live for having me! I hope to be back soon. You can watch the episode HERE if you missed it! Enjoy Janeé’s photos below:
The upcoming Star Wars Episode 7 will to a lot more good than satisfy legions of fans: Most of the $4 billion George Lucas will get from selling Lucasfilm to Disney will go to charity. Lucas “has expressed his intention, in the event the deal closes, to donate the majority of the proceeds to his philanthropic endeavors,” a rep for the filmmaker said. The 68-year-old heads the George Lucas Educational Foundation, which primarily focuses on educational issues. He once donated $175 million to his alma mater, USC. Major respect for the huge charitable giving from the film icon. As for Star Wars Episode 7 … are you excited for what?! OMG, YES! No way, the last three sucked! Eh, a little View Poll »
