Chad Johnson Refusing To Sign Evelyn Lozada Divorce Papers Evelyn might be ready to sign them papers, but Chad says he’s riding this marriage until the wheels falls off . via TMZ Chad Johnson DESPERATELY wants to stay married to his estranged wife Evelyn Lozada, so much so he’s refusing to sign any divorce docs … this according to sources close to the couple. As TMZ first reported, Evelyn filed for divorce three days after Chad allegedly head-butted her during an argument. The incident that led to his arrest and Evelyn receiving stitches. Sources close to Chad tell TMZ … he won’t sign the docs or partake in any divorce proceedings because he doesn’t want to get a divorce. We’re told Chad still believes he can win Evelyn back … as evidenced by the fact he recently tattooed her face on his leg. But Chad’s plan isn’t exactly bulletproof — under Florida law (where Evelyn filed the docs) the divorce can still be finalized with a judge’s approval. Sources tell us Evelyn is hellbent on making this divorce happen and nothing Chad does will get her back. We’re told she’s ready to move on and rebuild her life. This dude is in serious denial .
About that really clear statement Seal made this weekend? When he obviously accused Heidi Klum of cheating on him with bodyguard Martin Kristen ? He’d like to take it back, thanks. After telling TMZ he wished his ex-wife would have “at least waited until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help” and adding that the press has the answer it’s “been looking for” regarding his split with the super model, the singer has now released a new statement through his rep. It reads: “Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating while they were together, but he was merely pointing out that their separation and divorce are not yet final and they are indeed still legally married.” It’s unclear how a separation must be finalized, but, hey this is really none of our business. Klum, meanwhile, also released a rebuttal through a rep that states: “It is sad that Seal has to resort to this kind of behavior and spread these untruths about the mother of his children.” For the sake of those children, four of them, let’s hope the estranged couple calls for a media ceasefire starting… right… NOW.

The former couple continued to battle in court yesterday, with all signs pointing to Humphries’ legal team dragging out these proceedings for as long as possible in an attempt to prove Kim somehow defrauded him into marrying her… or to simply irritate the heck out of his estranged wife. Kardashian, meanwhile, is allegedly telling friends she just wants her divorce finalized – NOT because she wants to marry Kanye West , but because Kris is a “cancer” she just wants to be rid of. “Kris is the first person I ever had to break-up with and that f-cked with my emotions,” Kim is supposedly telling friends, according to TMZ, going into detail about the pair’s experience filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians together: “He told our producers he would destroy my career and me if the show wasn’t edited right.” But that strategy will “backfire” on Humphries, Kardashian says, if he keeps claiming she was to blame for their marriage falling apart. She cites unaired footage from the E! series that is still out there and which depicts Kris as a “manipulative, vindictive, petty, fame-hungry jerk.” And, we can only presume Kim added, no way I’ll let him beat me at my own game! The a ttention-sloring soon to be ex-wife of former NFLer Deion Sanders, who is no stranger to the subject and is currently involved in a messy divorce of her own, took to her twitter last night to offer some “advice” to women involved in domestic violence disputes shortly after the news of Chad and Evelyn’s altercation broke. While many of her followers laughed along with her, some felt that it was out of line, especially considering Pilar’s involvement in a highly publicized domestic violence inciden t with her estranged husband and children earlier this year.
Tragic news today for Usher and his estranged ex-wife, Tameka Foster: Kyle Glover , Tameka’s 11-year old son from a previous relationship, has been taken off life support and has passed away two weeks after suffering irreversible brain damage in a jet skiing accident. The fatal injury occurred on Lake Lanier in Atlanta on July 8, as Kyle was riding on an inner tube when he was struck by a passer-by in a jet ski. That individual is named Jeffrey S. Hubbard and is in under investigation for his actions. Doctors quickly determined that Kyle was medically brain dead and he had been on life support in the hospital until this morning. The tragedy took place while Usher and Foster were engaged in a contentious custody fight for the two kids they share. But that court battle has now taken a backseat to the sad circumstances surrounding Glover. We send our thoughts and prayer to his family.
Justin Bieber was involved in both a dangerous and illegal situation this afternoon, and it all went down on the 101 in Los Angeles. As first reported by TMZ, the artist was pulled over for speeding and reckless driving after L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine – a witness and former LAPD patrolman – spotted Justin barreling down the freeway in his Fisker Karma, allegedly over 100 miles per hour. Zine believes Bieber should have been arrested on the spot. “Bieber was driving like a maniac,” Zine tells TMZ. “He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane.” HOWEVER, Zine also acknowledges that Bieber had at least somewhat of an excuse for his actions: the paparazzi were right on his (expensive) tail. Four “reporters” swarmed Justin’s car as soon as it was pulled over, in fact. Sources say law enforcement officials will investigate these journalists for creating a hazardous circumstances, while Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, says his client was cited for going 80 mph and actually dialed 911 himself a short time later because the paparazzi picked up their pursuit. Man. At least Justin and Selena Gomez are doing better these days.
Tom Cruise has remained conspicuously silent throughout the pandemonium surrounding his impending divorce from Katie Holmes, who filed last week. According to reports, that is 100 percent by design. The star’s lawyer, Bert Fields, says Tom is planning to file as well, but has opted to let his estranged ex “play the media” before making any legal move. “Tactically we can’t say where Tom will file for divorce and if he’ll be seeking joint custody of Suri,” Fields said, adding, “We are letting ‘the other side’ play the media until they wear everyone out and then we’ll have something to say.” Although it appears a contentious battle over custody for 6-year-old Suri looms ahead, Fields reiterated that Tom is disheartened by the turn of events. “It’s not Tom’s style to do this publicly,” Fields said, alluding to the Scientology rumors from Katie sources and Tom’s reported attempts at reconciliation . “He is really, really sad about what’s happening.” Holmes, 33, filed for divorce June 28 in New York City and is seeking sole custody of Suri . Speculation has been mounting that Cruise is planning to file a counter divorce case in California and seek joint custody, but as of yet, he has not. The opening salvo comes July 17, when Holmes’ camp is set to appear in front of a family court judge in NYC, presumably to request a speedy temporary order granting her sole custody before Cruise’s legal team has a chance to respond.
