Jennifer Williams: Slapped on Basketball Wives, Slapping Nia Crooks With Lawsuit

Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams cannot BELIEVE Nia Crooks slapped her in the face on this week’s episode, and has slapped her with a lawsuit in return. Filing a civil complaint alleging assault and battery Wednesday, Jennifer seeks damages from Nia – Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada’s personal assistant. According to Williams, Crooks was “negligent, reckless and careless” when slapping Jennifer across the face during an altercation that took place January 21: Basketball Wives FIGHT: Jennifer Williams Slapped! “Someone needs to put a number on this bitch and let her race around the track because she’s acting like an animal,” Williams said of Crooks on Monday. The episode documented the fight taking place in a VIP suite at Gulfstream Park racetrack in Florida, in which Williams says she suffered “serious injuries.”

Chad OchoCinco Redoes Deal To Stay With New England Patriots Evelyn might need to get him a full-time gig on Basketball Wives until their spinoff airs: New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco agreed to restructure his contract for the coming season, lowering his base salary to $1 million from the $3 million he had been scheduled to earn, according to a league source. The restructured deal ensures that Ochocinco will be returning to Patriots training camp this summer. The paperwork on the contract is expected to be turned in to the NFL Players Association this week. Ochocinco, 34, struggled in his first season with the Patriots after being acquired in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals, catching just 15 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown. The Patriots have added many new faces at the receiver position this offseason too, agreeing to deals with Brandon Lloyd, Donte’ Stallworth and Anthony Gonzalez. Deion Branch agreed to a one-year deal to return and Wes Welker received the team’s franchise tag. Hmmmm…sounds like he’ll be cut when the season is over. Niiiiice *Fabolous voice* According to TMZ reports : Chad Ochocinco and Evelyn Lozada have signed their deal to do a “Basketball Wives” spinoff show with VH1 … and they each have 300,000 reasons to celebrate … TMZ has learned. According to our sources, filming on the new show will begin in the next few weeks, right after taping for “Wives” ends. We’re told the show will focus on the couple as they get ready to exchange vows this summer. Our sources say negotiations finally wrapped last week and the two will each take home $300,000 for about two months of work. As TMZ first reported, when Evelyn re-upped her contract with “Basketball Wives” last year, part of the deal called for VH1 to give her and Chad their own show. The show should be officially announced this week. 300 racks is no small change, especially in these economic times, but we kind of expected that number to be a lil’ higher considering that Evelyn is the engine in the Basketball Wives Bentley. Guess Chad didn’t hold a grudge after Gisele threw the team under the bus… According to TMZ reports : Evelyn Lozada and Chad Ochocinco (soon to be Johnson again) are busy formulating their wedding guest list — and Evelyn says that while Chad’s superstar teammate Tom Brady is invited … she doesn’t sound so sure he’ll attend! We caught up with Evelyn in NYC yesterday where she said paring down the guest list and deciding who sits near who has been the toughest part of the planning process. Evelyn said she’s only inviting some of her “Basketball Wives” co-stars (we’re told Jennifer Williams won’t be invited), but she did extend an invite to Tom and Gisele.
