As spotted on Page Six Serena wore a feminist forward outfit to the French Open. The fit was a custom Off-White for Nike black zip up top with a matching skirt. Each piece featured some pretty powerful and inspiring words in French including “Mother”, “Champion”, “Queen” and “Goddess”. The living legend detailed her intentions in an interview with the Tennis Chanel. “It has words in it in French. It talks about me being a mom and me being a queen, as all women are. A champion. It’s positive reinforcement for me, and I kind of love that” she explained. She also told AP NEWS “[the words on the jacket] are things that mean a lot to me and reminders for me and for everyone that wants to wear it.” Williams has a history of wearing statement pieces to the court. Lisa Vanderpump really did go there on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this week. And we’re guessing the veteran reality star is having some regrets over it right about now. Allow us to set the scene and explain… On Tuesday night’s episode of this long-running hit, Vanderpump agreed to take a lie detector test to prove she never leaked information about Dorit Kemsley failing to return a puppy. (That’s a whole other thing. You can read about it HERE .) Upon sitting down for this polygraph, Vanderpump made the following joke: “Just don’t ask me if Erika’s tucking or something like that because there are some things I can’t lie about.” Vanderpump then doubled over with laughter, but few observers found this remark to be especially funny. Most, in fact, think it’s pretty darn insensitive. For whatever reason, Vanderpump thought it would be downright hilarious to imply that Erika Jayne has a penis. Aside from being silly and immature, this is a rather rude remark; it turns the legitimate topic of transgender identity into a joke. Or, even worse, a diss. And Lisa Rinna was among the first to call her fellow reality star out for this quip, Tweeting: Who knew Lvp was transphobic? Well, we know NOW! #LBGTQ. As soon as the episode aired on Tuesday, Candis Cayne also jumped in with a critique of Vanderpump. “Oh come on @lisavanderpump joking about @erikajayne ‘tucking’ Ugly Trans jokes marginalizing our community are not acceptable. “Being an ally doesn’t give you a free pass To make transphobic remarks. Do better,” Cayne wrote. Jayne, who has not commented directly on Vanderpump’s attempt at an insult, did re-Tweet Cayne’s message. As Cayne mentions above, Vanderpump certainly has been a strong ally of the LBGTQ community for years. She has often hosted parties at her restaurants in honor of gay pride parades and/or events. But this simply means she ought to be extra aware that words matter and perceptions matter and it hurts the cause she aims to support when she turns an important aspect of it into a punchline. There are countless transgender individuals out there who are harassed on a daily basis. There are people out there who really do “tuck,” as Vanderpump joked on this installment, and they are likely appalled that Vanderpump would use this lifestyle as a way to take a jab at her rival. He told MTV back in 2015 that he worries about his every move being criticized . “I get anxiety because somebody always feels like you didn’t give them the proper greeting,” he explained, adding “that stuff has been a hindrance to me, because some people would come back and say ‘Wale was rude.’ Your every move, your every mannerism is being watched. And to think about it, it makes me sweat and my heart beats fast. In a press release , luxury goods conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton announced that Rihanna will be launching a luxury fashion house in Spring 2019. The brand will be called Fenty and it’ll have Rihanna developing her own vision for ready to wear clothes, shoes, and accessories. She will also spearhead the commerciality and communication for the brand. In a statement, Ri Ri said: “Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. Mr. Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits.” LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault also added: “Everybody knows Rihanna as a wonderful singer, but through our partnership at Fenty Beauty, I discovered a true entrepreneur, a real CEO and a terrific leader. She naturally finds her full place within LVMH. To support Rihanna to start up the Fenty Maison, we have built a talented and multicultural team supported by the Group resources. I am proud that LVMH is leading this venture and wish it will be a great success.” The partnership with Rihanna is a historic moves since Ri Ri will be the first woman to start a brand under LVMH and she’ll be the first woman of color to lead a LVMH fashion house. For the six children born to Jon and Kate Gosselin way back in the day, time isn’t just flying back. It’s strapping itself into a rocket ship and blasting off at the speed of light. On Friday, Jon shared a photo of himself and two of his kid on Instagram, writing along with the above photo of himself, Hannah and Collin a caption that reads as follows: “Happy 15th Birthday Hannah, Collin, Alexis, Aaden, Joel and Leah!!!! Wow I can’t believe you are 15!!! Time is flying by!!! I love you all very much. “I wish you the best day ever and I hope you enjoy your birthday celebrations today and this weekend!!! Love always, Dad.” Pretty basic and pretty simple, yet also very sweet — especially when compared to the message sent to her children by their mother, Kate. This is because, as of this writing, Kate has said nothing at all on the subject. Not in a public forum at least. The last several months have seen quite the role swap between these former spouses. For many years after their divorce, Kate was the one often seen out and about with her kids… while Jon was off trying to be a DJ and, at least it appeared, totally ignoring his relatives. However, in the summer of 2018, Jon started to post pictures online of him and Hannah . The teenager still “belongs” to her mother, in a legal sense, but she spends a great deal of time at her dad’s house these days. Similar,y Jon stunned followers of this family late last year when he brought Collin home to live with him. The new 15-year old has been away at some sort of special needs facility, rarely ever included in social media photos or posts with his siblings. But Jon actually went ahead and filed for temporary custody of this son — he actually won his case in December when Kate didn’t even bother to show up in court. Ever since, Jon has been rubbing this relationship in his ex-wife’s face via a number of cute photos with Collin . However, although Collin and sister Hannah are suddenly tight with their father, an insider previously told Radar Online that the rest of the Gosselin children are “completely aligned with their mother.” Tension very obviously remains high between everyone involved here. Even Jon himself said recently that all non-Hannah and Collin “aren’t talking to me” these days. Well, we’re just over one week away from the series finale of Game of Thrones . The bad news, of course, is that in a few short days, we’ll never again have another new episode of GoT to dissect, obsess over, and argue about. The good news is that after eight seasons of twists, turns, betrayals, and bloodshed, we’ll finally get to find out who wins the battle for the Iron Throne. From the very start, it was widely assumed that a fan favorite would emerge victorious in the end. Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen were considered the frontrunners, of course, but if we were to bear witness to an unexpected chain of events that put Arya Stark or even Tyrion Lannister in the seat of power, that ending would likely be embraced by viewers, as well. Fortunately, George R.R. Martin and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have never given a damn about what the fans want. And to quote Theon Greyjoy’s sadistic tormentor Ramsay Bolton, “if you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention.” Over the course of the past several episodes, we’ve seen Daenerys slowly stripped of just about everything meaningful in her life. She lost another one of her dragons, as well as her best friend and confidant, Missandei, who was brutally executed right before her eyes. On top of that, she’s now burdened with the knowledge that her lover and biggest supporter has revealed himself to be her nephew and the rightful heir to the throne she so covets. Obviously, all of this has taken a tremendous toll on the Khaleesi, the Breaker of Chains, and the Bearer of About 17 Other Official Titles. The change in her mindset has been so extreme that it’s begun to manifest itself physically. In ” The Last of the Starks ,” Dany sneers and spits venomous responses to those who challenge her, often while wearing more red — the official color of House Targaryen and its “Mad King” Aerys — then we’ve ever seen her in before. Her slow transformation from virtuous egalitarian to power-hungry despot-in-the-making has been masterfully portrayed by Emilia Clarke. And now many fans are wondering where it’s all headed. Nothing about the show up to this point has pointed to a conclusion in which the good guys win and justice prevails. Still, having been conditioned by decades of TV show storylines that played out along more crowd-pleasing arcs, we find ourselves expecting exactly that. But what if, as Dany prepares to lead her troops into “the Last War” against Cersei Lannister and her assembled forces, she’s not the one we should be rooting for? That’s not to say that Cersei has been a low-key hero all the while — it’s possible that there’s no one we should be rooting for, or that a third party will emerge as the GoT’s rightful protagonist. But whatever the case, it seems increasingly clear that Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen is not the ruler that the long-suffering people of Westeros deserve. Clarke stated this week that Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 is her favorite of the entire series. (As with every episode this season, its title won’t be revealed until the moment it premieres.) That could mean we’re in store for another epic military campaign on par with the Battle of Winterfell . But it might also mean we’re soon to bear witness to a tour de force performance as one of GoT’s most beloved characters finally breaks bad.
