With the television and entertainment world reacting in shocked sadness, Lea Michele has spoken out for the first time since Cory Monteith was found dead yesterday in a Vancouver hotel room. Through her rep, the actress – who was dating her Glee co-star at the time of his passing – said simply: “We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea’s privacy during this devastating time.” Details of Monteith’s death are still coming in, but the actor – who checked into rehab at the age of 19 and again just this past April – was reportedly out with friends in Canada on Friday. He returned to his hotel room alone, however, and was found by staff members after missing his noon check-out time.
