Now that’s starting 2011 off right. Valerie Bertinelli married her boyfriend of seven years, financial planner Tom Vitale, in Malibu last night. “We’re so happy!” the Hot in Cleveland star says. Bertinelli, 50, and Vitale, 49, exchanged vows in front of about 100 guests at their home, including Valerie’s son Wolfie, 19, from her two-decade marriage to rocker Eddie Van Halen, who also attended. Sounds wonderful. Bertinelli and Vitale met in 2004 and got engaged last March. Congratulations!

It’s about time. Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney love being married. So much so that they decided to start fresh at the 10-month mark. Why wait for the anniversary, right? The Bachelor stars renewed their vows in Las Vegas Sunday. The strange, but fun occasion was the Rock ‘n Roll Las Vegas Marathon. A marriage on the move! Congratulations to The Bachelor’s only successful couple! Molly Malaney and Jason Mesnick were among the 60 running couples who made a pit stop near the 3-mile mark outside the Venetian’s “Run Thru Wedding.” Their Bachelor courtship that ended after he chose Melissa Rycroft, then rekindled on the “After the Final Rose” special when he asked for a second chance. The pride of Western Michigan exchanged vows with the single dad in February. The rest is history. Brad Womack , the torch is passed to you. Again.

Their guests included Elijah Wood, Michael Emerson (Ben Linus from Lost ) and his wife, True Blood co-star Carrie Preston, who watched as the couple exchanged vows under a tent across from the beach.

Tokyo Couple Exchanged Vows Before A Robot

Japan has hosted the world’s first wedding to be conducted by a robot. I-Fairy is an automated creature who conducted the wedding of Tomohiro Shibata and Satoko Inoue in Tokyo, Japan. Since the couple is connected to the thriving robotic industry, they have decided to use the robot to wed them. They said that the robot had brought them together, so it’s just appropriate to have one officiate at their wedding. It’s their natural choice. During the ceremony, I-Fairy a robot which officiate the wedding has flashing eyes and plastic pigtails. It instructed the groom to lift the bride’s veil for the kiss.
