We have an update on the condition of Ami Brown. Unfortunately, however, it is not a positive one. As previously detailed on The Hollywood Gossip and on episodes of Alaskan Bush People this season, the Brown family matriarch is sick. She’s very sick. She’s been diagnosed with lung cancer . On an earlier installment of the aforementioned Discovery Channel series, Ami’s husband said his wife was suffering from the Stage 3 level of this disease, but further tests may prove she’s in Stage 4. This would be the most severe type of lung cancer. It would mean Ami does not have very much time left. And while we cannot verify at the moment just which Stage Amy is at, a new photo shared on Facebook depicts the reality star in a wheelchair: “We found this recent photo of Billy, Ami and two lucky fans that was taken in California last night,” wrote son Matt Brown as a caption, adding: “We love Ami’s sweet smile! Don’t forget that Alaskan Bush People returns on Wednesday, Aug. 9th at 9PM ET on the Discovery channel. Have a great weekend!!” Ami has scarcely been seen out in public since her diagnosis. But her loved ones took her to California in order to receive treatment several weeks ago, a sure sign that things were not progressing well because the Browns are famous for almost never leaving their remote enclave in Alaska. “Bill and the kids are very loving and supportive,” Ami has said on air, trying to remain positive and adding: “They’re all worried. I tell them, don’t worry. Please don’t worry. Be happy … keep the faith. Good or bad, it’s God’s will and we’ll walk that road.” The situation is so dire that estranged members of Brown’s family are wondering if they’ll have a chance to reconcile before Ami dies . Even Alaskan Bush People producers, such as Sheila McCormack, have weighed in. “The radiation is five days a week for six weeks,” she said this week. “That’s the direct radiation, not the chemotherapy. After the radiation once a week she goes to another building and they put an IV in her and she gets chemotherapy for four hours.” As far as we know, the Browns remain in southern California while Ami undergoes this difficult treatment. Welp . That didn’t take long. Siesta Key has aired an entirety of one episode on MTV and the show is already facing threats of a boycott. The show was actually facing a boycott before it even aired last night’s premiere ; and this is why… Prior to MTV airing the opening installment, footage of a shark being dragged to its death went viral. And while Siesta Key star Alex Kompothecras was not the one doing the dragging, he is a close friend of the main perpetrator and that’s enough for animal lovers. Outrage over the incident spread quickly around the Internet, with a Facebook page titled “Boycott Siesta Key MTV” earning over 8,000 Likes in just a few days time. “Over the past few days, the connection between the production of the Siesta Key show and the horrific videos and photos of animal abuse have come to light,” reads a Facebook entry for a protest of Monday night’s premiere event. This is the profile photo of the Boycott Siesta Key MTV account: The premiere party, which had been scheduled to take place yesterday in Siesta Key (d’uh) was actually canceled at the last minute. Due to this protest? In part. But Alex also received a number of death threats, which the Facebook group does NOT condone. “We have repeatedly said that we do not condone any type of violence of threats of any kind! We come from a place of love. Thanks for all the support,” reads a message on the site. Alex’s father, a chiropractor named Gary Kompothecras, came up with the idea for the series, which is produced by the same team behind Laguns Beach and which will track the lives of eight privileged friends in the Siesta Key, Dr. Kompothecras wants his son to be the focal point of the show; he wants Alex to basically be the next Lauren Conrad. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Dr. Kompothecras did not clarify whether the viewing party for the premiere was canceled due to the shark video and subsequent death threats. But he did hint at other underlying issues. “I wouldn’t say that’s the only reason,” he said mysteriously. “There are other reasons.” Alex, meanwhile, maintains his innocence. “I had absolutely nothing to do with the shark video,” he wrote on the aforementioned Facebook page, adding of the person at the center of it: “Yes he’s a friend of mine, but no I don’t agree with what he did. Check your facts before you go posting on my page. Thanks.” MTV has not commented on the controversy. But it did air the premiere, of course. Today, we thankfully have a happy ending to a story that could have easily turned tragic … Actor Donal Logue’s missing daughter is finally back home! It’s been nearly two weeks since 16-year-old Jade Logue was declared missing , and Donal has been doing everything in his power to get her back. The day after Jade went missing, he tweeted a description of her and what she was wearing, and that she’d last been seen at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. “Jade, we miss you and love you,” he pleaded. “Please come home. If you can see this, just know I love you and miss you dearly.” And from there, we all got seriously invested . In a heartfelt note he shared on Facebook last weekend, he explained that “There’s never been a more loving, innocent, cuddly child than Jade.” “I love her and who she is and her tribe is strong,” but he added that “there are some predators who swim among their ranks knowing they’re dealing with sweet, trusting souls.” “We want you home, Jade,” he wrote. “Whoever knows where she is, whoever may be with her — clearly this thing has become big and crazy.” “The net has been flung far and wide and luckily, I have dogged teams from the NYPD, FBI, and others involved.” He urged that whoever may have her or know where she is to “just drop her off,” or to get her in touch with either himself or her mother, Kasey, and “we’ll take her back, with hugs and no questions asked.” Donal specified that Jade was missing, that she didn’t run away, and just on Friday, he made another request for her to come home. “Jade, c’mon home, you sweet, beautiful soul,” he tweeted. “We love and miss you dearly.” But yesterday, his rep made the statement that “Jade is now safely back home with her family.” “Donal is incredibly thankful for everyone’s support, and especially to the NYPD, FBI and Team Adam NCMEC for her safe return.” Donal himself tweeted “Thank you ALL for the love and support. We are good. Kasey and I wish to thank the NYPD, FBI, @MissingKids and countless others.” So what happened?! Well, there aren’t many details about the story right now, and we don’t imagine the Logue family will be eager to share everything, at least not anytime soon. They’re more likely focused on Jade now. All we know is that she was found at a friend’s home in North Carolina, and that police say she was found “safe and sound.” And thank goodness for that.
