Amy Duggar & Dillon King: Headed For Divorce?!

Last week, fans were shocked by a Marriage Boot Camp trailer in which Amy Duggar described being attacked by her husband, Dillon King. Amy says Dillon lifted her up by her throat during an argument, and not surprisingly, fans are now encouraging her to kick him to the curb. The preview doesn’t offer any context for the shocking act of violence, but this is a case where it doesn’t matter. Dillon didn’t say something he can’t take back; he became physically violent with his partner, which is unforgivable in any situation that doesn’t involve self-defense. In the days since the clip went public, fans have been taking to the Duggar family’s official Facebook page with pleas for Amy to get out of her clearly troubled marriage. “If your husband choked you that’s not love,” wrote one concerned follower. “No one has the right to assault others. If someone who claims to love you is hurting you, run.” Others echoed the sentiment, with many pointing out that this is not the only instance in which Amy and Dillon have shown signs of strain in their marriage: Amy Duggar & Dillon Kind Discuss Babies, Spinoffs In the Facebook video above, Amy and Dillon briefly argue (around the 10-minute mark) about how many kids they’d like to have. It’s a minor squabble that could hint at a deeper issue. It’s strange that Amy and Dillon didn’t discuss such an important matter before they got engaged, especially since she comes from a family that’s famous for its unorthodox views on child-rearing.  They do, however, agree that they want to have kids, and at one point they even seem to hint that they’ll soon be hosting their own home renovation show. Rumors of an Amy and Dillon spinoff have been circulating for months, and now it seems a deal has been reached, but at this point, details are scarce. Regardless of the nature of the project, the fact that these two are planning babies and business ventures together is a pretty sure sign that they won’t be separating any time soon. Amy and Dillon just got married  in September of last year, and divorce is virtually unheard of in the Duggars’ circle, so you can expect the Kings to try and stick things out. Farrah Abraham Sits on Santa’s Lap, Gets Hate for Days

Farrah Abraham is not the greatest human being — she’s disrespectful, she’s mean-spirited, she’s ignorant, and she insists that she has none of these issues. But damn, some of y’all are just  cold . Like, yes,  Farrah is terrible , but do you have to make it about her face? Apparently, a lot of people feel like the answer to that question is “yes, we absolutely do have to make it about her face,” because Farrah got ripped to shreds after sharing this photo: It’s kind of sweet if you squint and have the ability to forget everything Farrah’s ever said or done , right? She and her daughter, Sophia, are sitting on Santa’s lap, having a merry old time, looking kind of happy. But still, countless people took to the comments to face-shame Farrah. “Tell Santa to bring you a new face,” one person wrote. “Yours looks ugly and bloated as sh-t.” “Ugliest picture I’ve ever seen!” another commented. “You look fat and your makeup is cakey and ratchet.” Another person tried to be nice, writing “I actually used to think you were very pretty now you just look stupid from all your surgeries such a shame.” And one more commenter just decided to be direct, telling Farrah “You look like someone just threw up on yo face.” Other terrible people decided to go after, Sophia, too. Several of them advised Sophia to ask Santa for a hairbrush, since her hair looks messy from time to time — sure, she’s a child, but why pass up a chance to slam Farrah ? Others — yes, as in multiple people — said that Sophia looks like “a spawn of Satan,” and some even made unbelievably low comments that really shouldn’t even be repeated. One relatively mild example of those kinds of cruel comments is “Your daughter is going to be ridiculed her whole life because you are such a piece of trash.” “Bet she wishes her mom died instead of her dad.” And then, if you can even believe it, the haters even came after Santa Claus. “Santa’s like yeah bitch I’ll come through the BACK DOOR to drop off those presents this year,” one sad soul actually thought, typed out, then posted. A similarly tragic human also wrote “I bet you let Santa stick his candy cane in your ass.” Is nothing sacred?! Seriously, there are a million things to hate about Farrah , probably even two or three million if you really sit down and think about it. There’s no need to get so catty about her face, or to bring her innocent child into this. And there’s definitely no reason to drag Santa into this mess. Do better, internet. Bullied Teen Commits Suicide, Shoots Self in Front of Parents

On Tuesday of this week, Brandy Vela sent a text message to her siblings. “I love you so much just remember that please and I’m so sorry for everything,” it read. Just moments after sending the message, Vela committed suicide via self-inflicted gunshot wound, pulling the trigger in front of her parents and grandparents in her Texas bedroom. She was 18 years old. What led to this horrible tragedy? According to CNN reporting, Brandy’s relatives – most notably her sister, Jackie Vela – think her suicide was the result of years of endless cyberbullying. “People would make up fake Facebook accounts, and they would message her, and she wouldn’t respond, and they would still come at her,” Jackie told CNN two days after saying goodbye to her sister. “They would say really, really mean things like, ‘Why are you still here?’ They would call her fat and ugly. She was beautiful, absolutely; the only thing people could find to pick on her was her weight.” In an interview with local station KPRC-TV, Jackie even explained how trolls would create fake dating profiles. They went to every possible end in order to torment this poor teenager. “They would put her number and they would put her pictures [on the sites] and lie about her age and say she is giving herself up for sex for free, to call her,” Jackie said. Police were alerted to these instances of bullying on numerous occasions, but there was very little they could do about it. “They couldn’t do anything because [the suspects] used an app and it wasn’t traceable and they couldn’t do something until something happened, like [a] fight,” Jackie explained. Jackie called her parents and grandparents after she received the aforementioned text message. These relatives then rushed home, entered Brandy’s room and bore witness to the unimaginable act of their loved one killing herself. Texas City Independent School District spokeswoman Melissa Tortorici told Us Weekly in a statement that Brandy “had a lot of friends and was thought of warmly by her peers and teachers.” In an email to CNN, she added: “Brandy was well-liked and friendly. Texas City High School students really liked her. She has touched many people as evident by the outpouring of love from her schoolmates.” Brandy’s organs, including her beautiful blue eyes, are being donated to those in need. And sheriff’s deputies will be addressing cyberbullying with students next week. “Today’s young adults and teenagers have grown up with technology and they have access to it 24/7. Many times they become very bold over technology and text things they would never say directly to someone’s face,” Tortorici said. She concluded: “It’s extremely difficult to stop someone from sending messages when apps make it easy to remain anonymous.” What a truly horrific story. May Brandy Vela rest in peace.

Mark Zuckerberg is only 32 years old but he’s been a billionaire for nearly a decade now. Of course, his popularity has seen more ups and downs than most public figures twice his age. Yes, Zuckerberg gave us a culture-redefining social network when he launched Facebook. But thanks in part to the popular film The Social Network , many believe that he stole the idea and royally screwed over his best friend in his effort to take all the credit (which may actually be the case). He’s used his wealth and fame to bring attention to important causes and spearhead important philanthropic campaigns. But his refusal to stop the spread of fake “news” on his site may have helped Donald Trump hijack the presidency. The point is Zuckerberg is complicated man, and no one understands him but his shareholders. But love him or hate him, the man’s devotion to his family is clear, and the adorableness of his daughter is certainly one thing we can all agree on in these divisive times. Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan welcomed their first child , a daughter named Max, one year ago yesterday. He marked the occasion on the FaceSpace with this fantastic photo: Zuckerberg captioned the pic: “I can’t believe it’s been a year! And she kissed me on the cheek for the first time yesterday. “Here’s to many more years of happiness and health for Max and all children around the world.” Zuckerberg and Chan got married in 2012, and they devote much of their free time to helping the less fortunate around the world. So little Max is the daughter of a couple of genius billionaires who have dedicated their lives to acts of kindness. If that’s not a recipe for success, we don’t know what is. And who can’t get behind a wish for health and happiness for all of the world’s children, right? Of course, Max won’t have to worry about that, given the circumstances she was born into. If you really require an explanation, go and read any page of any site of the Internet. Fun Thanksgiving task: Bring him up at the dinner table and see what happens … everyone is being SO SECRETIVE with their opinions! Fun THG fact: Mr. President-Elect is the first two-time winner of this award, having previously been named top  THG Turkey of 2012 . Our prescient words four years ago today … “The king of PR stunts, conspiracy theories and Obama rants wins our top turkey honor because of his repeated attempts to insert himself into the national political discourse, and the complete and utter rejection of his ‘ideas’ by citizens across the political spectrum.” Well, joke’s on us.
