It’s time FIFA stop allowing racism in the World Cup and international soccer! Fans Petition For FIFA To Ban Blackface At The World Cup Spread the word, a petition for FIFA to take a formal stand against racism is gaining major steam across the world. A Care2 petition demands the international soccer governing body FIFA stop tolerating fans in blackface at the World Cup games. The Care2 petition has more than 14,000 signatures. FIFA has strict rules against other fan behavior — for instance, fans are prohibited from bringing musical instruments or carrying water that isn’t bottled by Coca-Cola. They’re also prohibited from wearing Beats headphones — Beats was recently acquired by Apple, and FIFA has a licensing deal with rival Sony. FIFA has also granted sole beer rights in the stadium to Budweiser, prohibiting any other beer from being sold or brought inside. Also among the 18 banned items are inflatable beach balls and flags. But if fans show up in blackface, that’s apparently par for the course. Al Jazeera reports that three fans at Saturday’s France v. Switzerland game dressed in blackface in an apparent attempt to mock Candomblé, an Afro-Brazilian and Caribbean religion. During the Ghana v. Germany match, “at least a dozen” German fans showed up in blackface. Fans in blackface have been documented on social media, invited to do TV interviews, or otherwise shown up in photos. FIFA’s failure to crack down on racism is incompatible with its #SayNoToRacism campaign, which the governing body says is an effort to “fight to eradicate racism and discrimination in football.” The campaign invites supporters to take selfies, “a random selection of which will be shown before kick-off on the giant screens in the stadiums before the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ quarter-finals…Simply post a picture of yourself on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram by 4 July, when the FIFA Anti-Discrimination Days begin, holding a banner reading #SayNoToRacism.” Join the movement and sign the petition HERE

USA Today reports: Meet Jeremy Meeks. He’s a 30-year-old felon who was arrested Wednesday on felony weapons charges during a sweep in the Weston Ranch area of Stockton, Calif., according to Stockton police. He’s also arguably the most popular suspect to grace the Stockton Police Department Facebook page. Meeks’ police mugshot generated 10,914 likes and 2,400 comments from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, many from women claiming to admire his looks. “Hottttttt,” Melissa Stiles wrote. “Omg come to mama,” Nicole Seba Lorena Elena commented. “Holy [heck] i would arrest him too..hottest bad boy I’ve seen,” Ellie Abbey wrote. “He can kidnap me anyday… Hold me against my will lol,” Jessica Gutierrez commented. “Why is he breaking the law when he should be making millions modeling! Wowzas,” Tanya H. Thomas said. One user has set up a Facebook fan page for Meeks, who is being held in the San Joaquin County Jail on $900,000 bail. Who’s down to put in on his bail??? Fake Ryan Gosling Facebook Page Claims Actor Adopts Baby, Gets 930,000 Likes on Bogus Post

Women across the world already prone to swooning over Ryan Gosling were given another amazing reason to do so this weekend. Too bad it wasn’t real. On Saturday, a fake Facebook page claiming to be the actor’s official page posted an emotional missive accompanied by a photo of him with a baby. The Facebook page is not verified, but has 169,000 likes … and 930,000 more likes on the Father’s Day post, with many fans praising the actor’s “decision.” What was that non-decision not made by Gosling, you ask? “This father’s day, I’ve decided to tell the story of how I became a father,” the post began. “This little guy was only 9 months old when I became his dad.” “His mom and I were great friends before she passed away from cancer. I promised her, I’d always look after him. So, I had decided to step up and become his dad.” “He brought me so much joy. He was my everything. 1 year after the adoption, his biological father wanted him. Of course, I put up a fight, but he won.” “That 1 year of being his father taught me how to love unconditionally. We have to stop and be thankful for our children and children should stop and be thankful for their parents.” “What I truly learned most of all is, every child needs love.” Wow. As if Ryan Gosling weren’t dreamy enough right? “Reason 90636 why you’re the most perfect man on the planet!” one fan gushed, unaware that this was an utter fabrication (although a moving one). “Omg you are utterly AMAZING!” another declared. The post linked to a site to purchase a T-shirt that reads “Young Wild and Free,” with proceeds going to the Orphanage Home Foundation (which does not exist). Buying said t-shirt also enters you into a raffle to spend the day with Ryan Gosling, with the small caveat that Ryan Gosling will not be attending. Casey Kasem Dies; Legendary Radio Personality Was 82

Beloved radio icon Casey Kasem passed away this morning at the age of 82. His daughter Kerri confirmed the news via Facebook, writing, “Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken.” Kasem is best known as the original voice of the American Top 40 countdown, and for millions of Americans, Kasem’s trademark voice is as much a part of the history of pop music as the songs themselves. Sadly, in his final days, a legal battle over Kasem’s care  overshadowed the Detroit native’s inestimable contribution to the world of broadcasting. After a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and dementia,  Kasem was removed from life support earlier this week.  In addition to his famous hit music countdowns, Kasem lent his voice to a number of famous cartoon characters, including Scooby Doo’s Shaggy – a part he played for over 40 years. In 1985, Kasem was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. In 2009 he retired from radio after nearly 60 years behind the mic. As always, he signed off with his signature phrase, “Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars.” Celebrities We Lost in 2014 1. Philip Seymour Hoffman R.I.P. Game of Thrones: Officially Most-Watched HBO Show EVER!!!

All hail, Game of Thrones , King of the Andals, first of its name and all-time ratings champion! Yes, the numbers for season 4, episode 8 of Game of Thrones are in, and the wildly popular series has officially surpassed The Sopranos as the most-watched series in HBO’s history. Game of Thrones Characters In Real Life 1. Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen Clarke plays Daenerys Targaryen on the hit series Game of Thrones. The show’s fourth season debuts April sixth. No small feat for a show based on a series of door-stop books written in a genre that was previously associated with anti-social nerds and aging cosplay enthusiasts. For its peak episode in 2002 The Sopranos drew in an audience of 18.2 million viewers. GoT beat that number for the first time last week with 18.4 million tuning in. Prior to the acclaimed mob series that launched in 1999, no premium cable program had ever amassed an audience  close to that size. To put things in perspective, the much-ballyhooed Breaking Bad finale of last year drew a meager-by-comparison 10.4 million viewers and that aired on a network that doesn’t require a paid subscription. It’s a well-deserved honor for a show in the midst of what many critics consider its finest season to date. Of course, last week’s increase in viewership may have had something to do with episode eight’s much-anticipated  Oberyn Martell vs. Gregor Clegane battle , but considering the writers left us with a cliffhanger, much of the record-breaking audience may hold on to see if the powers that be will carry out the execution of Tyrion Lannister on this week’s GoT. Emily Ratajkowski has never been shy about stripping down for the camera, and we guess Emily is technically wearing clothes in this photo and thus not violating Instagram’s anti-boobie rules, but … This is about as naked as you can get without pissing off the admins: Those are guitar picks Emily’s wearing, and because her nipples are covered, there will be no need for a topless Scout Willis protest . (Although if she feels like strutting around town naked again, we won’t complain.) It’s actually been an exciting week for redefining the boundaries of nudity. First, Rihanna twerking in a see-through dress showed us all that with enough innovation, you can wear “clothes,” while still displaying every part of your anatomy.  Now we have Emily rocking a couple dozen plastic disks and calling it a bikini.  Clearly their accomplishments this week have earned these two women a spot in the Near Nudity Hall of Fame next to the girl who first wore leggings to a college class and called them pants. Of course, both women have been known to go full-on naked without even pretending to cover up, but with the wealth of nudity on the Internet it’s photos like the one above that kinda, almost leave something to the imagination that really catch our attention.
