If you thought the whole world loved the latest teen sensation, Justin Bieber, think again! Bieber-haters on Saturday joined forces on Twitter causing ‘RIP Justin Bieber’ top the Trending Topics. Consequently, the search term also landed on Google Trends within a few hours. dj_pratik tweeted, “RIP JUSTIN BIEBER ??? haha…..the best trending topic ever =P i wish this HOAX is really true =P .” One of the posts that has been retweeted increasingly is that of a user called VirisDecorus, who wrote, “Whoever started the RIP Justin Bieber rumour is sick. It’s not right to get people’s hopes up like that.” Another user called Jesus_M_Christ, whose tweets are predominantly satirical on religion, wrote, “RIP Justin Bieber? Oh Hell no. We want nothing to do with him in the afterlife.” The hateful comments did not spare the fans as well. Heytherehannahh posted, “i love how RIP JUSTIN BIEBER is a trending topic.. i wonder how many beliebers have killed themselves yet..” “RIP JUSTIN BIEBER: 99% teens would cry if Beiber was about2 jump off a tower. If ur the 1% sittin there w popcorn screamin DO A BACKFLIP,” said a tweet on the official parody account of the Family Guy character, PeterGriffyJr, urging retweets to spread the hatred. Some wondered why the topic continued to trend. Parmo526523 wrote, “Can’t believe RIP Justin Bieber is trending, wat, for lke the 20th time this month ? Why r ppl such h8trs wait didn’t I jus help them? Lol” But, its a vicious cycle, by hate or love, Bieber’s popularity is just growing declared few fans, while another fraction of fans tried to neutralise the hate by expanding the ‘RIP’, which connotes ‘Rest in Peace’, to mean something positive JustinBieberAVN wrote, “RIP Justin Bieber. RIP = Really Incredible Person ;)” JBieberGorgeous came up with: “RIP = Really Inspirimg Person , so RIP Justin Bieber :-)” Some ‘Bieblers’ also wondered why the microblogging site would not remove the ‘hateful’ topic from its trending list. Bradarsenault tweeted, “i’ll be the first to say it. The whole “RIP JUSTIN BIEBER” trending topic is just sick.” Activity Graph & BuzzOmeter on Twitscoop states,”Scoop rip justin bieber detected on 15 January 2011″. The topic, which has a ranking of 1/5 on the buzz meter, has peaked and is gradually declining. Lo Bosworth and Scott Hochstadt have called it quits. (P.S. That’s Lauren Conrad’s BFF from The Hills and her boyfriend, who you never knew existed) After two and a half years together, the sad split went down Tuesday, right before businessman Hochstadt, attended a Family Guy DVD launch party. The duo first stepped out together in summer 2009. On July’s series finale of The Hills , Bosworth agreed to move in, with Scott hinting at a proposal. What went wrong for Lo and Scott? “They had talked about getting engaged quite a bit,” the source concedes . “But over the last couple of weeks it really unraveled. The age difference was a lot. “They are at different places in their lives. They are taking it slow as friends. Scott loves her family, she loves his family, and all their friends are heartbroken. “But in the end, they couldn’t make it work anymore.” Sounds a lot like Ryan and Scarlett , doesn’t it?

With 2010 drawing to a close, it is with much pride that THG unveils its 10 finalists for its prestigious, Fourth Annual Celebrity of the Year award. These stars all gave us their best, their worst, their nude pics (sometimes) and their scandals (often). This month, THG honors that greatness. Following Sarah Palin checking in at #7 with her impressive list of self-serving Tweets and caribou killings, we present Celebrity of the Year finalist #6 … Charlie Sheen ! Sheen book-ended a year he’d likely rather forget – and, thanks to heavy drug usage, may already have – with two different investigations into two different violent escapades. First, there was the Christmas Day confrontation with Brooke Mueller , who would eventually wise up and divorce this troubled star. Then, there was the NYC rampage against Capri Anderson, who still may sue Sheen for allegedly threatening her life. In between these disturbing incidents, Sheen… Had a car stolen out of his driveway, only for it to later be found, totaled, along the side of the highway. On two separate occasions ! Attended rehab. Recited some hilarious Family Guy quotes as a character on that Fox sitcom. Actually received a raise to sign a new Two and a Half Men contract. Sat back and counted his millions as that show remained the most-watched comedy on television. In a world where Tiger Woods loses countless sponsors and fans due to his infidelity, and Miley Cyrus receives flak for soaking a legal herb on her 18th birthday, the fact that Sheen has undergone no significant legal or professional recourse for his actions is one of 2010’s most enthralling mysteries. It’s confusing and it’s depressing, but it also gives us no choice but to include Sheen on any end-of-the-year countdown.

Rocking out to her hits like “Waking Up in Vegas” and “Hot N Cold,” she performed for the winners of the nationwide Go Back to High School With “You Again” and Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream radio contest. The crowd was rounded out by about 1,000 of Dos Pueblos’ finest students. For Perry, getting the chance to play for a hometown crowd was a special experience. “This is one of my favorite shows! Definitely top 10, maybe top five,” the VMA-nominated singer explained. “I was giving it my all, even though I had, like, a cough and I’m still struggling to get healthy, I was so happy to be here in Santa Barbara.” Perry told MTV News last month that she wrote her latest hit, “Teenage Dream,” in the town she grew up in and still holds the SoCal city close to her heart. “I was so happy to be here in Santa Barbara because Santa Barbara is really my heart and, you know, if [a radio contest concert] would have went down when I was in high school here, I would have freaked,” she said. “I would have totally camped out in those little seats [for] Gwen Stefani, No Doubt. Most definitely they were like my favorite, still are.” So what was Perry like back in the day? “I was kind of a class clown, but I wasn’t as funny as a class clown. I was learning from them and I was also kind of a show-off, still kind of a show-off,” said Perry, who left school early and got her GED to pursue her music career. “I went to homecoming with a senior and that made me feel really cool ’cause when you catch a senior for homecoming or for prom or whatever it is … you made it. According to Entertainment Weekly, West’s character is down on his luck after being a rapper on the rise and the title character, Cleveland Brown, is attempting to help the high school artist make a comeback. The animated pair work on a track titled “Be-Cleve in Yourself” that will supposedly mark Kenny West’s comeback. “Not long ago, I was lower than Lohan,” he raps. “No plan, a lost man, raising my little girl in a Cadillac Brougham/ My quest success, but my life was a mess/ Poor Kenny West, no zest, and he depressed/ Not dressed to impress/ Matter fact, more stress than John Mayer waiting on his AIDS test.” In May, Kenny West first popped up on “The Cleveland Show” at a rap battle. His character was a hot shot who butted heads with Cleveland Jr. over West’s girlfriend.
