In an interview with Net-A-Porter, the actress publicly came out as liking men and woman, and she revealed she has a serious relationship with Janelle Monáe . “We love each other deeply, we’re so close. We vibrate on the same frequency,” Thompson said. She went on to say it’s been challenging balancing their relationship in the public spotlight. “It’s tricky because Janelle and I are just really private people and we’re both trying to navigate how you reconcile wanting to have that privacy and space and also wanting to use your platform and influence,” Thompson said. “I can take things for granted because of my family – it’s so free and you can be anything that you want to be. I’m attracted to men and also to women. If I bring a woman home, [or] a man, we don’t even have to have the discussion.” She continued, “I want everyone else to have that freedom and support that I have from my loved ones. But so many people don’t. So, do I have a responsibility to talk about that? The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Alexis Bellino is getting a divorce after 13 years of marriage. Though it has been a few years since she was on RHOC, the news about Alexis and Jim took a number of fans by surprise. People wondered where they went wrong. In a joint statement, the divorcing couple is confirming their divorce — and explaining it. In a joint statement to Us Weekly , Alexis and Jim Bellino hope to clear the air. “It is with heavy hearts,” the statement begins. “That we inform the public of our mutual decision to end our marriage.” That can be a difficult choice to make, and sometimes it is just as difficult to announce. The statement continues: “But it’s important to us that you know we made this choice together, with love.” That sounds amicable! That’s very promising. She says they see it as right for them, “and as the best decision for our children’s future.” The statement from Alexis and Jim, who just last year enjoyed a romantic getaway in Venice, Italy, continues. “We hold one another in the highest regards as spouses, and especially as parents,” the statement reads. So they want it clear that this isn’t a situation of spite or hatred. “We have agreed,’ they announce. “On 50/50 custody of the children,” So it doesn’t sound like they plan on waging a custody battle. They’re telling fans this “and we ask that you respect our privacy by not theorizing about the reasons for our divorce.” So we’re not meant to believe that they’re both assassins from rival organizations and have only just learned of this. Gotcha. “In recent days and weeks,” the statement continues. “There has been a lot of negative discussion about our marriage and why it is ending.” “Outside of the news of our decision to part ways,” Alexis and Jim say. “There is nothing provocative, alluring, or sordid about the dissolution of our marriage.” That is often the case. Marriages can begin and end for very mundane reasons. “Quite to the contrary,” the statement says. “We strongly support each other just as we have since the beginning of our relationship.” It sounds like they’re just no longer compatible as partners. “Our marriage was a good one,” Alexis and Jim say. “But we were never perfect people or spouses.” The statement then goes on to claim that “no one is” perfect. If that’s true, how do they explain Janelle Monae? “And in this respect,” the statement says. “We were a lot like millions of other married people.” In other words: flawed . “And,” the statement says. “Just like millions of other married people, we simply grew apart over times.” Hey, it happens. “There is no ill will or bad blood between us,” they reiterate. “And maybe that’s why,” they say. “Absurd rumors about our marriage and future together began when we filed for divorce.” Their argument, here, is that if they’d really been having problems, then there would have been rumors before their divorce. (We don’t know if we necessarily buy that logic) “We ultimately want you to feel happy for us,” the statement reads. “Respect our privacy during this difficult time, and pray for our mutual benefit as we weather this storm.” Alexis and Jim give a shoutout to those lending them emotional support. “To the fans who have supported us since the beginning, we’re grateful for how you cheers us on,” they write. “We ask that you continue to cheer,” the statement concludes. “As our lives and the lives of our children change and ultimately improve as a result of this difficult decision.” That is a very reasonable request. Matt Cappotelli, the winner of WWE’s Tough Enough Season 3, lost his brave battle with cancer on Friday morning, He was 38 years old. This sad piece of news was confirmed a couple hours ago by Cappotelli’s wife, Lindsay, who wrote in a statement: “Today my love-my strong, sweet, beautiful love-took his last breath at 3:30 a.m. and went Home to be with Jesus exactly one year after his brain surgery. “You think you can be prepared for this when you know it’s coming, but you just can’t. “The only person who’s comfort I want right now is the one who can’t give it to me. I miss him so much. I know where he is now is so much better, but it doesn’t change how much I miss him.” Cappotelli underwent a second surgery to remove a brain tumor about a year ago, in June of 2017. This procedure took place a decade after he had another one removed and, as a result, was forced to cut his professional wrestling career short. Tragically, though, this surgery did not solve the health problem. In December, Cappotelli was told he had a Grade 4 tumor that was too close to his brain to operate. He knew his days were numbered after this diagnosis. Tough Enough, meanwhile, was a reality-type show that the WWE owned and operated. It pitted a number of aspiring grapplers against each other, with the winner each season earning a WWE contract and a shot at true stardom. Think American Idol, but for the wrestling world. After winning Season 3, Cappotelli made multiple appearances on Monday Night Raw and went on work with developing talent in Ohio Valley Wrestling. However, the Louislve resident retired professionally as a wrestler in 2007 due to these health concerns. In response to his passing, numerous WWE stars and others who knew Matt well paid him tribute on Twitter. WWE star Kassius Ohno wrote: “Crushed to hear about the passing of Matt Cappotelli. He was talented, passionate & possessed a heart of GOLD. “Everyone should fight as hard as Matt fought. Condolences to his friends, family & the countless others he touched on his journey. Rest In Peace Capp.” And then there was this from Bill DeMott: “I’m heart broken with the news of the passing of Matt Cappotelli. He is an inspiring young man that touched so many with his smile, his heart, and his faith. “My love and prayers go out to Matts wife Lindsay and the family. #TeamCapp #RIPMAtt.” Cappotelli’s passing comes just about a week after WWE legend Vader also passed away . Although the slain artist’s girlfriend is expecting a child , no children were named in the document. From TMZ : According to the will, filed with the court, XXX left all of his property in trust, with his mom as trustee. She filed docs saying the beneficiaries in the trust are her and XXX’s 2 brothers. The will states XXX has no children. It’s interesting … his mother claims a prior girlfriend of XXX’s is currently pregnant. It appears the will was drafted before she became pregnant. It was signed in November 2017. Jen Harley was arrested on Sunday for the alleged assault of Ronnie Magro-Ortiz, generally prompting two responses from the public: These two REALLY do not belong together. How the heck could anyone assault the blob of muscles that is Ronnie Magro-Ortiz?!? In response to the first statement above, we say: no d’uh . In response to the second, we now have some new information to share. According to Las Vegas Police Department sources who spoke to The Blast, Jen and Ronnie were on their way home from a barbecue on Sunday afternoon when they got into an argument. Soon enough, Jen started hitting Ronnie in the face as she drove and he sat in the passenger’s seat. Then, the car ran over something in the road and blew a tire. As Ronnie attempted to exit the vehicle, Harley revved the engine and took off, dragging Ronnie behind him and giving him severe road rash. So that would be how one assaults a man the size of Ronnie: you use an object that’s even larger than he is. There are a few conflicting reports about exactly what went down between these estranged stars, however. The Blast, for example, quotes a source who says “a call came into police from a caller who indicated that there was a suspicious vehicle with two flat tires on the side of the road and a bleeding man standing outside who was trying to pull the female out of the vehicle.” Trying to pull a female out of the vehicle?!? We hadn’t heard anything about that before. All we know is that Jen was the person who got arrested for domestic battery, not Ronnie; which is not to say he was totally innocent. We can’t say for certain what led to this fight or precisely how physical each side got with the other. But we can verify this disturbing fact: the occasional couple’s two-month old daughter, Ariana, was in the car at the time of the fracas. Yikes. Harley and Ronnie welcomed their only child into the world on April 2. Just a few weeks later, they went back and forth over social media in an especially ugly spat, one that centered around both being accused of infidelity and Ronnie slamming Jen – THE MOTHER OF HIS NEWBORN! – as a ” cum dumpster .” Shortly after this public tiff, footage surfaced of Ronnie threatening Harley. With his words, yes. But seemingly getting close to doing so with his fists, as you can see down below here: Ronnie Magro Gets Into Altercation with Jen Harley Earlier this month, cops were also called after Harley and Magro-Ortiz got into a heated argument at Planet Hollywood while Ortiz-Magro was shooting season 2 of Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Somehow, despite all this drama, the two have attempted to remain a couple. We guess this is sort of admirable, assuming they were doing so for the sake of their toddler. But we’re way past admirable now. There’s nothing to commend anyone for when he or she is simply putting a tiny human being in the middle of vicious and violent fights. “It’s better they are apart, and they are slowly realizing that,” a source has told People Magazine. “It will be better for their daughter in the end.” We could not agree more. A second insider told this same publication that Jen and Ronnie are “toxic,” adding: “When things are good, they’re good, but when they’re bad, they’re really bad. When you put two alphas in a room together, they’re going to clash.” For the record, by the way, Harley has been released on $3,000 bail. Vinne Paul, a veteran musician in the heavy metal music industry and a founding member of the band Pantera, died this week from unknown causes. He was 54 years old. The drummer’s death was announced by Pantera on Saturday via Twitter, as the group simply posted the following message: Vinnie Paul Abbott aka Vinnie Paul has passed away. Paul is best known for his work as the drummer in the bands Pantera and Hellyeah. No further details are available at this time. The family requests you please respect their privacy during this time. Paul helped create Pantera in the 1980s, along with his brother, guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott. Their father a famous country and western songwriter and producer named Jerry Abbott. The group enjoyed mainstream success with second lead singer Phil Anselmo. Throughout its career, Pantera earned four Grammy nominations and charted nine albums on the Billboard 200, including its 1994 album Far Beyond Driven, which debuted atop the chart at the time of its release. After Pantera split up, the Abbott siblings formed Damageplan in 2003. However, the band was performing in December 2004 when Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed onstage during a concert in Columbus, Ohio. Since 2006, Paul was the drummer for Hellyeah, a heavy metal band that included Mudvayne vocalist Chad Gray and Nothingface guitarist Tom Maxwell. In the wake of Paul’s passing, some major names in the music business have shared their condolences on social media. Alice Cooper Tweeted the following: “Terribly saddened by the news of Vinnie Paul’s passing. “Vinnie was a beloved fixture in the rock and metal communities and we will miss seeing him out on the road. His impact on heavy music is immeasurable. Rest In Peace Vinnie, condolences to your family, friends and fans.” And then there was this from Slash: “Tragic news about Vinnie Paul today. “He was one of the warmest people I knew. A truly good & fun friend. We’re going to miss you more than you could possibly have known. RIP buddy.” And this from Bret Michaels: “Vinnie – You will be missed! You were an amazing human being & we had many great times together. A toast to you my friend, my prayers are with you!” And this from Dave Mustaine of Megadeth: “I just woke up in Belgium to the news that my friend Vinnie Paul has passed away. Another metal hero taken too soon. Say hello to Daryl for me. “Rest In Peace, my dear friend.” “Gutted to hear about the nicest guy in metal passing. Vinnie Paul showed us nothing but love. We’ll miss you Vinnie,” Papa Roach also wrote in response. As we said above, we do not know how Paul died right now or even on which day.
