Being Mary Jane Midseason Finale: MJ Sacrifices Everything, Including Lee And Kara, For The Anchor Chair

So here we are, folks. It’s time to talk about the midseason finale (that’s right, the season didn’t come to a complete end this time around). Still, as with all finales, things have to reach a climax, and they certainly do — as does Mary Jane with Justin’s help (literally). Check out all the tea from the Being Mary Jane midseason finale and tune back in to the second half of the series when it returns July 18. You know things are about to go left when someone is sitting with their man but thinking about another man. That’s exactly what is going on when the mid-season finale starts. While brainstorming plans for Mary Jane’s 40th birthday with Kara, Lee makes a poor cake recommendation and remarks that “I’m obviously out of my league” with such a suggestion (it was chocolate cake with white icing by the way). At that very moment, Justin walks into the room via a daydream and says to MJ, “He said it, not me.” She freezes for a moment before remembering where she’s at, and who she’s with. [ madamenoire ] Adrienne Talks About Moment She Knew Her Relationship With Lenny Wasn’t Right The women of “The Real” are living up to the name of their show with this week’s topics of discussion. Earlier this week, Loni opened up about her miscarriage and now, Adrienne is speaking about the reason she called off her engagement to Lenny Santiago. Tamera: “When did you know, because I think a woman always knows this, when did you know that it wasn’t right? But then you kept on in the relationship?” Adrienne: “I think I knew when I moved across the country and we didn’t need each other in that way. And I think at some point it almost… can become almost a saving grace, like ‘Let’s try… Maybe if we do this…’ Does that make sense?” If I’m being honest, it’s a little unclear. But if you watch the video, you can tell that Adrienne was doing her best to be as tactful and un-offending as possible. And while the second half got a little muddled for me, the first part was pretty clear. It seems that they thought their problem was distance. And then when they were in the same place together, they still found that the relationship wasn’t exactly right. [ madamenoire ] Sarah Palin Fried Online For Shot At Colin Kaepernick’s Meals On Wheels Donation Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska and past Vice Presidential candidate, has entered the media fray once more but perhaps not in the way she probably appreciates. Palin took a swipe at NFL player Colin Kaepernick‘s recent Meals On Wheels donation and people on social media have been giving her the business. Over on Sarah Palin’s website, which we won’t be linking to, she posted a link to an article by Mary Kate Knorr that labeled Kaepernick’s $50,000 donation to the meal delivery service a publicity stunt. Under President Donald Trump’s potential budget, the program could the federal grant it receives which makes up a significant portion of its operations budget. Over on Palin’s Facebook page and Twitter, which again we won’t be linking, she took another jab at the current free agent quarterback writing, “And he wonders why he can’t find a job.” Of course, Kaepernick is an enemy of conservatives and ultra-patriots over his refusal to stand for the National Anthem ahead of football games last season. The bold stance hasn’t just been criticized by those on the Right as liberals and others in the middle have taken shots at Kap as well. Palin’s digs didn’t go unnoticed and naturally, Twitter has been frying the former beauty queen since her unnecessary commentary. We’ve collected some of the best below and on the following pages. Sanaa Lathan Dishes On “Shots Fired” & More! We caught up with stunning (and super sweet) A-list actress Sanaa Lathan at Lincoln’s extravagant “Luxury Is…” experience in L.A. where she opened up about her highly anticipated FOX mini-series Shots Fired , Best Man 3 ,   staying 40-FINE and more with a beautifully breezy energy that made us fall in love with her all over again. After a strong 20 years in the game, she’s done everything you can do as a talented Black actress in whitewashed Hollyweird and switched it up with a major mini-series that’s an absolute must-see. “It’s created by the creator of Love & Basketball and it’s a 10-hour mini-series movie and it’s all set in the world of Black Lives Matter. And it’s a mystery thriller and it’s gonna be so hot and people are gonna be on the edge of their seats and it’s relevant and it’s topical to what’s going on in our country today… I play a woman named Ashe Akino and she’s an investigator and I have to go into this world and solve these crimes that have to do with what we’re dealing with today so I’m excited for the world to see that!” She also exclusively dished on her upcoming blockbuster that sounds like an easy $500 milli at the box office. “I just got back from London shooting a movie called American Assassin with Michael Keaton and a really amazing young actor named Dillon O’Brian and it’s similar to the Jason Bourne type of movies in that it’s based on a big book series that’s very popular…these books, there’s like, yanno…several…like, teens…like fifteens of books and one of the things that’s great about this is that my character–Irene Kennedy–is a white woman in the books so this is like a big franchise movie and they hired me, as a Black woman, to play a white woman character.” Sanaa has played everything from a vampire superhero’s mother to the most hated female character in Tyler Perry movie history ( The Family That Preys ), but it’s her unappreciated role in Alien Vs. Predator that got us cackling like old friends. “I’m an actress and I love playing all different types of characters… I don’t discriminate between genres so I love doing that, it was hard work regardless of what you thought of the movie… it was a grueling, challenging, FUN experience for me -Bossip: And you survived!- “*laughs* I survived as a Black woman…they slept on ( Alien Vs. Predator ) because, at that time, especially, every Black person in every scary movie was getting killed immediately and I not only survived, I was the last survivor and that’s part of the reason I wanted to do it. I was like ‘oh, I’m not gonna be another pawn in this movie that dies first or second…” For months, there were loud whispers about the third and final chapter of the beloved Best Man franchise but, according to Sanaa, it’s…not a go just yet. “We don’t have a start date for Best Man because everybody from Terrence to me, Nia, Taye we’re all doing…Regina…we’re all doing different things right now. The script is not quite finished. There’s been a lot of press which I love because it means people are excited but, no, we haven’t filmed it yet so who knows when that’s gonna happen. Fingers crossed.” Of course she touched on how she deals with industry rumors and gossip (that we’ve sometimes posted). “It goes with the territory you just gotta roll with it. I mean, sometimes it gets to you and, yanno, sometimes you laugh, sometimes it’s like UGH! It’s a kick in the stomach but, you know what, it’s part of the territory. I learned a loooong time ago from my mother if they’re not talkin about you then you aint doin nothin” You know we couldn’t let Sanaa go without asking how she stays 40-FINE at 45. “I think that beauty comes from inside and when you’re truly happy and you’re passionate about your life, it shines through. Period, end of story. And obviously we have to do things like take care of ourselves, the more you take care of yourself, the better you feel and the better you look.” Shots Fired premieres TONIGHT on FOX at 8 pm!

Rob Kardashian Turns 30: Was Blac Chyna at His Birthday Party?!

Happy birthday, Rob Kardashian! Well, happy belated birthday at this point — the guy turned 30 yesterday. Earlier in the day, his family celebrated with their customary social media well wishes . Kris Jenner wrote to her only son that “I love you more than words can say. You have the sweetest soul and the kindest heart, and I am blessed beyond measure to call you my son.” “I am so proud of the man you have become and it brings me so much joy to watch you grow as a brother, son and father. There are so many blessings in this life, but being your mom is one of the greatest.” Khloe Kardashian, his closest sister , wrote “I am incredibly blessed to have a brother like you!” She told Rob that he has “the most unbelievable heart,” and that “seeing you be a daddy has been a blessing to see how she gives you that smile I miss.” “We’ve been by each other’s side for life and that will never stop!” she continued. “This is your year of greatness! We all believe in you!” Kourtney was a little less sentimental with her birthday wishes, simply sharing a photo of Rob and herself and jokingly adding “relationship goals.” And little Kylie wrote “Happy birthday big brother … my twin soul.” As for Rob, he shared this adorable new photo of Dream, calling her “The best gift of all!!” Kim and Kendall both refrained from publicly wishing him a happy birthday, but that’s fair — Kim’s been a lot less personal on social media lately, and Kendall just got robbed . Both ladies seemed to miss the birthday party too, but fortunately, the party still seemed pretty neat. The whole gang went to see a private screening of Beauty and the Beast, and little Dream was even in attendance. And that’s because Blac Chyna actually showed up to the party. A source explained that she was there because they filmed the party for Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but “she brought back and gold balloons and a gift,” and “it was civil despite all the custody drama.” And what a miracle that is, right? Because from what we’ve heard, the custody drama seems pretty nasty. For instance, there’s that little tidbit about how Chyna is threatening to spill a whole mess of Kardashian secrets if Rob doesn’t give her $50 million and full custody of Dream. But still, “Rob seemed happy” at the party, though they didn’t sit together during the movie. And the shocks just keep piling up, because it turns out that Chyna wished him happy birthday on Instagram as well. Could they actually be behaving like mature adults now? Could they have realized that the needless drama doesn’t help anyone, and it especially hurts poor, innocent Dream? Keeping Up With the Kardashians Ratings Plunge: Will the Show Get Canceled?

If you watched the premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 13 last week, you know that despite some enticing trailers, the episode failed to deliver in the drama department. Upcoming episodes will address Kim getting robbed in Paris and her marital troubles with Kanye West, but it could be a case of too little, too late. The premiere’s ratings were the show’s lowest to date, and according to Radar Online, E! execs are already talking cancelation . Rumors of Keeping Up With the Kardashians getting canceled seem to surface every couple of months. (Perhaps it’s a bit of wishful thinking on the part of the public.) But this time, there are numbers to support the claims. KUWTK pulled in its lowest ratings to date on Sunday, scoring a paltry .70 for adults 18-49 rating and just 1.48 million viewers. It’s reportedly that first figure that has E! most concerned. The show never receiving massive total ratings, but it always performed well in that crucial demographic. (In fact, we’re a bit shocked that half the show’s audience falls outside of that age range.) Making matters worse is the fact that the show is costlier than ever to produce. Sources say a reluctant Kim received a massive bonus to return for Season 13, and the cast keeps growing in size. North, Saint, and Kourtney’s kids aren’t getting paid yet (and there’s no word on whether or not Rob’s daughter, Dream, will appear on the show), but Kendall and Kylie background stars to main attractions, and their paychecks reflect their rising popularity. When the show premiered more than a decade ago there simply wasn’t as much competition on basic cable, and the Kardashians, ironically, have struggled to keep up. It’s often said that Kim and her sisters don’t really care if the show continues or not, as it’s already established them as huge stars, and they have countless other revenue streams. But at least one member of the family is deeply concerned about the prospect of cancelation: Sources say Kris Jenner boasted to friends that this season would be the show’s most popular to date, due to all the explosive drama of the past few months. Melania Trump: FINALLY Moving Into the White House?

As you’re probably aware, Donald Trump unveiled his 2018 budget proposal this week, and he’s pretty much the only one who likes it. The plan calls for massive cuts to several vital government agencies, in particular those tied to health, human services, and the arts. Democrats are balking at the tremendous human toll, and key Republicans believe the budget will prove impossible to pass. Yes, Trump’s first federal budget appears to be DOA, but there’s still one person who can swoop in and save the day … We’re talking, of course, about the seldom-seen Melania Trump. You see, ever since her husband’s inauguration back in January, Melania has spent less time in the White House than people taking guided tours. The Trump administration initially responded to concerns about the cost of round-the-clock Secret Service protection for the Manhattan faction of the Trump clan with vague promises of Melania and son Barron Trump eventually making their way to D.C. But the consensus among insiders seemed to be that Melania never intended to move into the White House . (In fairness, she was probably just as shocked as the rest of us when he won the election.) Now, however, it seems that in a move to appease voters, Donald will make the ultimate sacrifice and live under the same roof as his wife. According to TMZ, insiders close to the situation say that Melania and her son are “absolutely moving after the school year.” One source claims a school has already been selected for Barron, and White House staff members are readying Melania’s living quarters with a fresh coat of paint. We assume the stench of goat blood and charred flesh all of Steve Bannon ‘s scrifices to the Prince of Darkness, but it’s nothing a little Lysol won’t fix. So what does all of this have to do with Trump’s budget proposal? Well nothing, really, but an oft-cited statistic is that the cost of keeping Melania and Barron in Manhattan is greater than the entire annual buget for the National Endowment for the Arts, a program that’s marked to be gutted by Trump’s budget. So will the program be saved now that Melania is taking one for the team and pretending to share a bed with Donnie? Of course not, silly! That would amount to compromise and we’re pretty sure The Art of the Deal could basically be summarized as “compromise is for pussies.” Besides, that money can be easily wasted elsewhere. Josh Duggar and Anna Duggar: Expecting Baby #5!

You can forget all about those Josh Duggar and Anna Duggar divorce rumors . For good, most likely. The controversial couple shocked fans on Friday when they took to their official family blog in order to make an unexpected announcement:  Anna is pregnant with her fifth child! The couple announced in a statement: “For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage, focus on our children, and rebuild our lives as a family.” “Doing so is never easy after a breach of trust.” “We’ve learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time,” they continued, adding: “As we continue our journey as a family and rebuild our lives, we are delighted to share with you that we are expecting a new baby boy later this year.” “Beauty comes from ashes and we cannot wait to see and kiss the face of this sweet new boy!” They signed their announcement with a simple “Josh & Anna.” Wow. The rebuilding to which Josh and Anna reference, of course, goes back to the spring of 2015. At that time, it was revealed that Josh had molested five girls when he was a teenager – including his sisters, Jessa and Jill Duggar. Adding to the stunning nature of this bombshell was the fact that Josh’s parents (Jim Bob and Michelle) admitted that they were aware of their son’s inappropriate behavior around the time it occurred. But they did not go to the police. Instead, they decided to handle the matter “in-house” which many fans felt was irresponsible at best, or shady and cowardly at worst. TLC eventually canceled the family’s reality show in the wake of the scandal, although Jessa and Jill have returned to the spotlight via their network spinoff, Counting On. Josh later sought treatment after confessing he had cheated on his wife , a revelation that came out once his name was included among those who had an account on adultery website Ashley Madison. “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever,” Duggar said in August of 2015 upon confirming his infidelity. He continued at the time: “While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the Internet. “This became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife. “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family. “And, most of all, Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.” Given the situation, it was a pretty impressive statement. And it continued even further as follows, with a mention of his molestation history no less: “I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old.” “Now I have re-broken their trust.” “The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings. “I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.” Ever since the molestation and cheating incidents were made public, Anna’s future has been the subject of rampant speculation. Those who follow Josh’s extremely large family have wondered when the long-suffering wife finally up and divorce her dishonest, unethical husband. But this action is strictly prohibited in their religious world. Instead, Anna and Josh have simply kept a very low profile over the last two years. The latter left rehab last March of last year and, aside from attending Jinger Duggar’s wedding to Jeremy Vuolo on November 5, the couple has scarcely been seen in public. (Moreover, it certainly appeared as if TLC scrubbed Josh clean from all footage of the wedding, as you can see for yourself below.) Jessa, for example, gave birth to a son named Henry Wilberforce in February. Jill is currently expecting her second as well. And there’s already talk about when Jinger will get pregnant with her first child, and Joy-Anna and Joseph are courting. But this is about Josh and Anna and the new addition who will soon join their brood, a photo of which we’ve shared below: The stars celebrated their eight-year wedding anniversary in September, refraining from making a big deal of it themselves. But the Duggar family’s official site (headed by Jim Bob and Michelle) mentioned it shared a picture of them on Facebook. “Happy Anniversary, Josh and Anna,” they captioned the pic. “We are so thankful for God’s redemptive love in your lives.” Earlier this month, meanwhile, Jim Bob and Michelle paid tribute to their oldest son on his 29th birthday by posting a picture of him, Anna and the kids. Kate Middleton: Why is She Pissed at Prince William?

Typically, the Kate Middleton rumor mill churns with talk of her and Prince William taking a trip to Pound Town. In other (less confusing and lewd) words, most chatter surrounding the Duchess of Cambridge has to do with her womb and when she’ll next get pregnant . But sources now tell Vanity Fair that Middleton is upset at her handsome husband for a different kind of trip; one that involved cold, wet snow, not red hot banging. Earlier this week, the Royal Family became the subject of a few negative headlines after William had perhaps a bit too much fun with friends at a nightclub in Switzerland. He was at the establishment as part of a ski vacation with his friends. Multiple outlets reported on the singing and “dad dancing” that was included in the break Williams took with close pals Guy Pelly, Tom van Straubenzee and James Meade. (Are those not the most British names you’ve ever read in your entire life?!?) Likely as a result of a headache and/or extreme fatigue, the Duke of Cambridge was noticeably absent from Monday’s Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, Britain’s largest interfaith gathering attended by many members of his famous family. And an insider claims that the most important person in William’s immediate family was “disappointed” with her husband’s behavior. “It was William’s choice to go away, but make no mistake Kate wears the trousers in their marriage, and she won’t be happy with William’s antics,” a source tells the aforementioned publication, adding: “She thought his partying days and larking around with the boys was a thing of the past. I imagine she’ll find this humiliating and William will have come in for a pasting .” (Are those not the most British words you’ve ever read in your entire life?!?) To be clear, this was solely a guys’ trip. Cameras did capture a few females hanging out in William’s presence, but there’s no concern that he acted inappropriately with anyone of the opposite sex. According to The Sun newspaper/tabloid, the Prince and his friends spent last Sunday night dancing to the band Hussy and looked “very worse for wear” after downing “several drinks.” Footage of this behavior, which went public in Great Britain on Wednesday in numerous tabloids, has left Middleto “less than pleased,” Vanity Fair writes. Later today, William and Kate are expected to step foot in Paris, as the future king makes his first official visit to the city since Princess Diana passed. It marks yet another major occasion for the couple and the family they represent. The two-day trip is expected to strengthen relations between France and a post-Brexit Britain – and all eyes will clearly be on William’s eyes on Friday and Saturday. Will they be bloodshot? Will he be back on his game? If not, the public may continue to turn on William and Kate , leaving us wondering about the future of their marriage, as opposed any future addition to their adorable brood. These Hollywood raised girls, like Elle Fanning, who was in her more famous sister’s shadow, as the sister paved the way for her, and by paved the way, I mean was exploited by the parents first, to make the connections needed, in what they’ll pretend wasn’t exploitative but rather a gift, or lottery, an opportunity to allow her true talent shine, so that this one could move in and cash the fuck in…after the other one kind of fell off…interesting…. Elle Fanning probably was forced to grow up fast in this evil industry thanks to their parents selling them off like this was an Arab country…and the family was in need of a goat…because they sound like Divorcees at the age of seven….but on the same token, they never grow up because they always have handlers…Handlers that didn’t tell Elle Fanning to sort out her nipple in her overalls…unless this is her silent and amazing protest…to annoy all the judgemental people in her immediate circle who force her to do all these annoying things like make them all a lot of money… Either way, Elle Fanning is a fucking robot…and she freaks me the fuck out..but people are very into her and her creepy ways…that her creepy parents created.
