The 53-year-old actress appeared on The TODAY Show today to reveal that she’s pre-diabetic. The “How To Get Away With Murder” star told TODAY that the disease runs in her family and she’s speaking out for a valiant reason. Viola spoke out alongside her sisters Dianne Davis Wright and Deloris Grant to discuss the disease and “A Touch of Sugar,” a Merck documentary funded by the pharma company about diabetes health care. John Singleton Reportedly In A Coma After Suffering “Major Stroke”

Source: NBC / Getty O n April 17, director John Singleton suffered a stroke after returning from a trip in Costa Rica. At the time, it was reported that it was a mild stroke and that the flight back may have triggered it. “On Wednesday, April 17, our beloved son/father, John Singleton, suffered a stroke while at the hospital. John is currently in the ICU and under great medical care,” said Singleton’s family said in a statement to ET . “We ask that privacy be given to him and our family at this time and appreciate all of the prayers that have been pouring in from his fans, friends and colleagues. Thank you, The Singleton Family.” However, things are reportedly much worse than what was originally reported. According to TMZ , Singleton actually suffered a major stroke and is currently in a coma. TMZ got a hold of some legal documents that show that Singleton’s mother, Shelia Ward, is asking to be appointed to be his temporary conservator. Singleton was allegedly involved in several business projects and was prepared to sign “a lucrative settlement agreement,” and his mother wants to handle those affairs while Singleton is hospitalized. According to Yahoo , “a physician submitted a declaration, saying John Singleton was suffering from “major impairment to motor skills and psychological functions, including his ability to ‘reason logically.’” Singleton is a legendary film director, screenwriter and producer who is famously known for directing  Boys n the Hood , which gained him a nomination for Best Director at the Academy Awards — making him both the first black man and the youngest ever to receive that nomination. Singleton also directed classics like Poetic Justice, Higher Learning, Baby Boy and 2 Fast 2 Furious. He also wrote all mentioned except 2 Fast, 2 Furious. Singleton has also been an advocate for black voices in media, criticizing Hollywood for not letting black men and women direct black-themed films.

Just because Alaskan Bush People is heavily edited doesn’t mean that viewers are done with the show or with the Brown family. But how does the network feel, especially after this past season’s slight ratings slump? Will Alaskan Bush People continue, or simply fade into the wilderness? RadarOnline  is reporting some amazing news for fans of  Alaskan Bush People . Discovery has decided to renew the reality series for yet another season. This will be Season 10. Billy and Ami Brown are of course “thrilled” at this news. This means another season of telling their story and sharing it with America and the world. This welcome renewal also means another season of the kinds of fat paychecks that have turned them into millionaires. This isn’t a secret that the family’s been sitting on for ages, either. We’re learning of this just a short time after they did. “Billy and Ami were just informed this week,” an insider shares. “That the network would like to do another season” “And of course,” the source adds. “They were on board.” Yeah, we should think so. Season 8’s ratings were so titanic that they put  Keeping Up With The Kardashians  to shame. Season 9 saw a bit of a dip in viewership, but there was a major light at the end of that tunnel. “They were a bit worried because of lower than usual ratings last season,” the insider notes. “But after the finale brought in big numbers for them,” the source continues. The insider explains: “They knew that season 10 would likely be happening.” We don’t yet know next season’s specific storylines, or how much the family’s actual lives are going to make it onto television. But behind the scenes, things aren’t doing so well for the Browns. Oh, their careers are better than ever and their finances are enough that Billy bought their 435 acre property without selling their Beverly Hills mansion. But in terms of actual family dynamics? It sounds like things are deeply complicated. At the moment, Matt Brown — who has made great strides in his sobriety journey — is avoiding his parents at all costs. He’s currently living in southern California with his girlfriend. Reports say that he has zero inclination to go spend time with his family at the moment, and not just because he has a girlfriend. And then there’s Rain, who is 16 years old and the youngest of Billy and Ami’s children. Rain is a teenager and absolutely fatigued with being stuck at home. Reports say that she’s clashing with her sister, Bird, and that she looks forward to adulthood so that she can get some breathing room. Speaking of Rain, her best friend, Raquell Rose, is now part of the family. But a report claims that her marriage to Gabe Brown was more of a shotgun wedding, at the insistence of Billy. We cannot confirm if that is true, but if so, it would mean that Raquell was pregnant at the time. Then there’s Bam Bam, who apparently resents his family for their alleged treatment of his own lady love. What can we say? Family is complicated. Back in 2015, the then Vice President assured us that he will not be seeking the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination. He once stated in a news conference, “Mr. President, thank you for lending me the Rose Garden for a minute. As my family and I have worked through the grieving process, I’ve said all along that it may very well be that that process closes the window on a campaign for president. I have concluded that it has closed.” But my oh my how things have changed in a matter of four years. After watching the country essentially crap thanks to a Head Of State who pretty much doesn;t know WTF he’s doing, Uncle Joe decided to step up to help truly make America greater than it was before. On Thursday, Biden announced his decision to run for president for a third time with a campaign video that pretty much shut down the Internet. He even classily threw some shots at current President Trump and how he failed to handle many of brutal attacks by White Supremacists in the past four years. “He said there were quote some very fine people on both sides. With those words, the President of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it. And in that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I had ever seen in my lifetime.” Biden added that the 2020 race is a “battle for the soul of this nation.” “The core values of this nation, our standing in the world, our very democracy, everything that has made America, America, is at stake. That’s why today I’m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States.” Even during his days as VP, Joe Biden has carried himself more Presidential than Trump and many other hopeful in the upcoming election — and with that comes a bunch of haters. After Biden’s announcement on Thursday, Trump tweeted: “Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe. I only hope you have the intelligence, long in doubt, to wage a successful primary campaign. It will be nasty – you will be dealing with people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas. David Eason: We Now Know He’s Trying to Get Jenelle Evans Fired!

For over a year now, David Eason has been a thorn in the side of Teen Mom 2 producers. As you probably know, Eason was fired from the show back in February of 2018 after hurling homophobic slurs at those who urged sensitivity in the wake of the Parkland shooting. Obviously, this presented a challenge, as producers were now tasked with filming Jenelle at her home without her husband appearing on camera. For months, it's been rumored that Eason is making the situation even more difficult by harassing producers and making it impossible for them to compile usable footage. Now, we have confirmation that those rumors are true. Take a look: 1. The Freeloader David seems completely unwilling to work and perfectly happy to live off his wife’s earnings. 2. The Fool And yet, despite his cushy situation, Eason seems hellbent on getting his wife fired and bringing an end to his family’s sole source of income. 3. Shooting Himself In the Foot For months, it’s been rumored that David is actively working to get Jenelle fired from Teen Mom 2. 4. Busted And Monday night’s episode basically confirmed that those rumors are 100 percent true. 5. In a truly bizarre twist,  Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian are getting along these days . Rob is defending her in public, and Chyna’s no longer demanding a small fortune — or any cash — from Rob or his family. In a new post about “new beginnings,” Chyna is saying that if people knew her, the  real  her, they wouldn’t be so surprised. “Growth is painful,” Blac Chyna captions her post. She continues: “Change is painful.” “But,” Chyna expresses. “Nothing is as painful as being where you do not belong!” She tags her post “#newbeginnings.” “Over the last couple of years,” Chyna’s actual post begins. “You guys,” she writes, addressing her fans. “Have been given a perspective of who I am.” No amount of interviews and reality TV appearances can show someone the whole and breadth of who someone is. Chyna says that fans have gotten this impression of her “from the media and people closest to me.” Chyna laments that “I’ve been bullied, humiliated, manipulated, and discredited as a mom!” But she understands why some fans may view her like they do. “Looking back at a lot of my actions,” she admits. “I’m reflecting.” “And,” she writes, she is “realizing that confusion is a serious thing.” “Of course,” Chyna notes. “I’m not proud of some of the pain I have caused.” From court battles to alleged physical brawls, Chyna has been controversial. “And,” she says. “I am working to be the best me.” She then seeks to distance herself from the brand that she has built. “Blac Chyna doesn’t define Angela White as a person,” she insists. There’s a classic Tumblr post dating back to 2014 in which the idea of a person and their alter ego being separate, unaccountable entities is parodied. Since then, references to “Countess Boochie Flagrante” have become a meme. Angela is responsible for anything and everything that she has done as Blac Chyna. But we have to say that the idea of getting to know a kinder, gentler Blac Chyna — or Angela, if she prefers — sounds very appealing. Kylie Jenner Accused of Weirdest Photoshop Fail Yet!

If you’ve ever been to her Instagram page (and who hasn’t?) you know that Kylie Jenner and Photoshop are two great tastes that taste great together. At this point, it doesn’t even seem like Kylie is shy about the fact that her pics are frequently retouched. And why should there be any shame in her game? Kylizzle is the world’s youngest self-made billionaire (although many have taken issue with the “self-made” part of that achievement). And hey, when your every selfie goes out to an audience of 132 million (the size of Kylie’s Instagram following), it’s natural to seek out every advantage. And in many cases, it’s not Kylie or her social media manager who does the retouching. Oftentimes, it’s an overly-ambitious photo editor from a lesser-known publication. Take Kylie’s latest photo spread, for example. It’s for the Spanish-language fashion mag S. Moda , and many fans feel there’s something seriously off about Kylie’s pics. “OMG! Stop editing, you phony,” one Instagram user commented on Kylie’sm pics. “Wow, this is SO airbrushed,” another remarked. And what were the specific issues that led to these comments? Well, they varied from person to person, but two complaints seemed to be the most prevalent. Some followers took issue with Kylie’s skin tone (“She is not mexican like us STOP TRYing to tan her!” wrote one user). While others had a problem with the shape of her hand. Yes, her hand, Kylie is almost as famous for her long fingers as she is for her pouty lips. (We’re sure there are whole social media accounts devoted to creepy obsession with Kylie’s fingers, but we are not about to seek those pages out.) But apparently, a lot of folks are convinced that Kylie’s fingers are long … but not this long. It’s anyone’s guess as to why a photo editor would elongate Kylie’s fingers for effect, but a lot of people are convinced that’s exactly what happened. Fortunately, most of the commenters were eager to sing Kylie’s praises. “You’re so beautiful,” one person commented.  “This is so, so, so stunning,” another remarked. “Amazing!” a third wrote. Leah Messer: MTV is Making Me Look SO DUMB, Y’All!

The stars of Teen Mom love to complain about MTV, and about how they chose to edit their footage of them. They've been doing it for years, and it doesn't look like they'll be stopping anytime soon. Sometimes the complaints can be valid, like when the cast claims that conversations have been spliced together to make things more dramatic. But like when Jenelle gets mad that producers make her look bad when it's really just that she makes herself look bad? That's a little silly. And Leah Messer's latest complaint, if you can believe it, may be one of the silliest we've heard yet. 1. Jesus God Leah So, OK, let’s be honest … Leah hasn’t been looking so great in recent episodes of Teen Mom 2. 2. Oh Gross This is for a few reasons, but most of them have to do with her boyfriend at the time of filming, Jason Jordan. 3. No Thanks See, a lot of people don’t really care for Jason, or at least they don’t care for his relationship with Leah. 4. Uh Oh It’s just that things moved so fast between them — more on that in a bit — but the thing is that Leah obviously saw an issue with her relationship, since she’s broken up with him twice now. 5. Oh The most recent breakup happened because she said that the relationship was “toxic,” so that’s not great. 6. Slow Down But we’re getting head of ourselves.
