Derick Dillard has a reputation for saying truly hateful and idiotic things on social media. The most famous example, of course, is Derick’s transphobic tirade against fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings, That rant got Derick fired from Counting On but apparently, it didn’t teach him to refrain from courting controversy on the internet. In addition to his presence on Twitter and Instagram, Derick sometimes takes to his family’s webpage in order to blog about his beliefs. His latest post, entitled “Confessions of a Christ-Seeking Millennial” is receiving quite the mixed reaction from fans — which is probably just what Derick wanted. “If you’re married (to a Christian or not), ‘the one’ is always going to be who you are married to. My ‘one’ is always Jill Michelle Dillard,” Derick wrote. That’s certainly an innocent — and even laudable — sentiment, but for many readers, Derick’s insights went off the rails shortly thereafter. Derick discussed his life as a series of “calculated risks,” and to the surprise of many, he listed marrying Jill Duggar as one of those risks. We suppose that’s the case with every marriage, but for many readers, it came as a shock that Derick articulated that thought. He went on to surprise fans further by encouraging them to “settle” rather than holding out for their ideal partner. “If you aren’t married, don’t wait for a perfect person because you’ll just die single,” Derick wrote. As far as Duggar ideas about marriage go, this one is fairly non-controversial. There’s a school of thought which holds that the idea of a “soul mate” is absurd, and single people should focus on building healthy relationships, rather than seeking out flawless mates. But coming as it did in the context of a blog post about his life and marriage, many took Derick’s comments as an indication that he believes he settled for Jill. That’s probably not what Derick meant — but then again, the man likes stirring up controversy, so who knows? If any Duggar in-law is arrogant enough to believe he settled for his famous bride, it would certainly be Derick. Of course, we don’t want to go putting words in his mouth. Jessica Simpson is what we can only describe as extremely pregnant with baby Birdie. Yes, her baby will be named Birdie, even though fans begged her to choose a less stupid name . To show just how close she is to her due date, Jessica showed off her massive baby bump while wearing a skimpy bikini. “Jess-tation,” Jessica Simpson captioned this photo. She shared the snap — a photo taken of a printed out photograph — on Instagram with her fans and followers. As is abundantly clear, she is extremely pregnant. The bikini makes that even more obvious. She’s in her third trimester and about to pop! Though Jessica already has two children — Maxwell and Ace — this pregnancy is putting her through the wringer. She has revealed that her face and feet are especially swollen, and asked for remedies. (She has even tried cupping to alleviate the swelling — hey, whatever works!) Some of her struggles have been a little more farcical. Jessica recently revealed that she had accidentally broken her toilet seat by leaning back in it. Whoops! Like so many who are pregnant, Jessica has been plagued by acid reflux. (You know when you pour soda into a drink and it fizzes up and spills over the side? Imagine that, but stomach acid, and it reaches your mouth) Fortunately, as a woman of means, she can easily afford to buy new furniture to handle this temporary problem. Jessica shared a pic on Instagram, showing off her pregnancy recliner. That should keep her elevated and, combined with tweaks to her diet, keep her from experiencing the worst of acid reflux. Earlier this month, Jessica posted a photo of herself wearing a mask after her latest health scare. “After a week in the hospital for bronchitis … I’m finally home!” Jessica wrote. In terms of hospital visits, she notes that it was “my fourth time in 2 months.” Jesicca continued: “Coughing with Birdie has been a crazy painful journey.” “I am slowly getting healthier every day,” she affirmed. “Baby girl was monitored and is doing amazing!” “I am on my way to healthy,” Jessica’s precious caption continued. “And counting down the days to see her sweet smile.” “Sending love and prayers to all the mothers who are going or have gone through this,” she concluded. “OUCH!” Pregnancy can include a great deal of complications. Even a “simple” pregnancy involves the compression of organs and the rearrangement of bones. Combined with the fact that the body strips calcium from the mother’s bones to build the baby’s skeleton, and a lot of people find pregnancy horrifying. And then, of course, comes the almost unimaginable pain of the actual process of giving birth. The fact that some people choose to endure this process once, let alone multiple times, shows that they’re extremely brave. We hope that the rest of Jessica Simpson’s pregnancy is smooth sailing. We’re sure that the entire family is eager to welcome baby Birdie into the family. It was her marriage, her glorious moment with her boo and his tremendous vows . However, so much of the episode was focused on Nene and her problems with her marriage. She was complaining and said about her seemingly impending divorce from Gregg. However, just yesterday she denied that there was any divorce happening at all. So was this all for attention? Young has indeed had more time to spend with his family recently after the Denver Nuggets waived the point guard after just four games back in December. Keonna talked about her relationship with Nick in an interview with Essence , saying, “Me and Nick have lots of history. We’ve been in and out of each other’s lives and we’ve dated other people, we have still always managed to keep in touch. It’s something that no one will be able to understand. We don’t even really understand. We’re just like, ‘You know what, we have these kids. You know, we are friends.’ We share each other’s deepest, darkest secrets. We talk a lot. We have that type of friendship.” The announcement of baby number three came as a surprise to many fans, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t in the plans all along. The couple revealed earlier in the month that they wanted another child when their family attended the premier of Captain Marvel and Nick said he wanted “one more.” Congrats to the happy family on their new addition!

In the weeks since Leaving Neverland debuted on HBO, it seems not a day has gone by witbout a new report about Paris Jackson’s alleged “meltdown.” The film, as you likely know, contains shocking new information about the child molestation allegations against Paris’ father, michael Jackson. Insiders say Paris does not believe the accusers , and though she has refused to watch the documentary, she remains convinced of her father’s innocence and deeply distraught about the latest threat to his legacy. Obviously, no one wants to hear such appalling allegations about someone they hold dear, but Paris’ decision to treat the situation as a joke has not sat well with many, including some former fans. Sources say Paris is concerned that Neverland might derail her career . But ironically, it’s her reaction to the documentary — and not the film itself — that’s generating the most negative coverage. But regardless of one’s opinion of her handling of the situation, we can all agrree that if there’s any accuracy to latest rumors about Paris’ mental state then the 20-year-old is in desperate need of some compassion and assistance. First, Paris smoked pot in an Instagram video , despite the fact that she’s fresh from rehab and is a member of AA (an organization that strongly discourages the use of any mind-altering substances). Shortly thereafter, Paris was spotted drinking heavily and arguing with her boyfriend during a night out in New Orleans. Now, a new report from Radar Online indicates that Paris’ family is deeply concerned that she’s fallen back into her old ways. “Everyone fears that she has relapsed, and it is a dangerous situation,” one insider tells the site. The situation has reportedly become so dire that the rest of the family is refusing to update Paris’ grandmother, Katherine Jackson, for fear the situation will exacerbate the matriarch’s existing health issues. “The whole family fears that Paris is not okay,” says the source. “They are doing their best to shield Katherine from her because they do not want this to send her to her grave.” The insider adds: “Paris’ grandmother is super-stressed over behavior.” The source claims that Paris has been “out of control” in recent weeks, but the model and aspiring singer insists that there’s no cause for concern. “Paris says she is fine,” the informant says. “She’s making excuses,” he adds. Their son, Malcolm, who apparently is a rapper, defended his parents all while, you guessed it, smoking a blunt. New York Post reports : Their “rapper” son, Malcolm, popped out of the family’s Fifth Avenue building to smoke a giant blunt — while defending his parents and bragging about his latest CD. “They’re blowing this whole thing out of proportion,” said Malcolm Abbott outside the home that overlooks the Metropolitan Museum of Art. “I believe everyone has a right to go to college, man.” In between drags, Malcolm, whose father is the founder of food and beverage distributor International Dispensing Corp., admitted, “I didn’t go to college.” The toker, who sports a ponytail and raps under the name “Billa,” then shamelessly plugged his music. “Check out my CD, ‘Cheese and Crackers,’ ” he said of his 2018 five-track record that includes a song titled “If I Lost My Money.” The scandal has been connected to a series of emerging details that families paid William “Rick” Singer to bake the numbers to get these privileged pups into colleges and universities although their grades didn’t reflect their entry. Rich White Struggle Rapper Defends Parents In College Admissions Scandal
As you’ve no doubt heard by now, a wide-randing college admissions bribery scandal led to dozens of high-profile indictments this week. Among the wealthy parents ensnared by Operation Varsity Blues were actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin. Loughlin and her husband — clothing designer Mossimo Giannulli — have been at the center of much of the criticism surrounding the scandal. The couple allegedly shelled out $500,000 in bribes to ensure that their two daughters would be admitted to USC. The scheme required that Loughlin help her daughters to pose as members of their school’s crew team in order to make them more attractive prospects to the USC admissions board. All this despite the fact that one of the girls, Olivia Jade Giannulli, admittedly had no interest in attending classes at the school. Olivia is a social media influencer and aspiring actress with 1.4 million Instagram followers. She once received criticism for a video in which she admitted that she planned to attend college solely for “the game days and partying,” admitting that she “doesn’t really care about school.” Olivia Jade: Sorry for Saying College is Dumb! The backlash led Olivia to record a half-hearted apology clip (above), but her comments have resurfaced in a damaging way in the wake of the admissions scandal. Though she was released on $1 million bail after being taken into custody earlier this week, it’s still possible that Loughlin will serve prison time for her role in the conspiracy. But thus far, it’s mostly Olivia who’s feeling the fallout. In December of 2018, Giannulli scored the biggest payday of her young career when she inked a promotional and collaborative deal with cosmetics giant Sephora. On Thursday, the company issued a statement revealing that it had cut ties with Giannulli: “After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately,” the statement reads. As of this afternoon, the $28, six-color Olivia Jade x Sephora Collection Bronze & Illuminate Palette is no longer available on the company’s website. It’s no doubt a crushing blow for the 19-year-old, but it’s important to remember she’ll probably go her entire life without suffering any lasting consequences for anything she does. As we all know, money may insulate these kids from reality, but counter-intuitively, it also means literally nothing to them. For further examples, see the kid who defended his parents’ role in the scandal while smoking a blunt and plugging his mixtape, or … well, you can look at just about any random day from these kids’ lives to know that they’ll never want for anything, with or without college.

Changes are on the way for the Roloffs. Long-time followers of this beloved family are well aware of this, of course, simply based on recent social media posts and photos from Matt, Amy and company. But these changes are especially prominent in the trailer for Little People, Big World Season 14. Just released by TLC, the preview is notable for what it does depict and who it does not depict. On the latter front, Audrey and Jeremy are no longer full-time cast members. They may be seen in the background here and there during family gatherings, but the couple has walked away from the series. They stunned fans with this announcement last summer. As a result, Matt, Amy, Tori, Zach and even their adorable Jackson are the ones front and center for the show's new logo, which we wrote about HERE . In a press release sent out this week by the cable network, we learn that Season 14 will consist of 10 episodes and that tension between Matt and Amy will be at the center of these new installments. Here is a quote from this release: “At the heart of the season lies the fate of Roloff Farms, as Matt and Amy consider if it’s possible to continue running the property together, while their increasingly separate lives and relationships are driving them further apart.” We've written about this before. Matt has purchased a part-time home in Arizona with girlfriend Caryn Chandler, while both he and Amy have hinted that they time running the family farm could be coming to an end. The press release goes on to note that this will be “a season of self-discovery for everyone,” including Matt and Caryn, pondering “whether their future is in Oregon with the farm, or in Arizona, where they’re just purchased a home.” The trailer is definitely intriguing. It gives us a close look at Amy and her romance with Chris Marek, while also teasing a a health scare for Zach and far happier news for him and Tori welcome a new puppy. Might this couple also be facing financial problems, however?“ “I’m way in over my head,” Zach laments at one point. “This year, out of any of the other years, everything has changed for me,” Amy recently told People Magazine. “Chris makes me see life in a whole different way.” The new season of Little People, Big World premieres on April 2 on TLC at 9/8c.
