My name is Izabela. I have always been a belieber and I always had a dream. It was to actually meet and get an autograph or a picture with my number one idol: Justin Bieber. Not until a couple days ago (June 23 2011) after all these years of trying to, I finally met him. I have always been entering contests and every opportunity that I had to meet him, I tried to accomplish it. But sadly not one gave me a chance, except for Jingle Ball 2011. I begged my parents for about a month or so to actually get a chance to go, and I even gave up tv and my laptop for a week. Honestly, the only reason why I wanted to go to Jingle Ball so badly was because Justin Bieber would be there. Once I got to Jingle Ball I saved my batteries on my camera until I saw Justin Bieber, although he was last to perform I didn’t mind. I saw him and that’s all that actually counted. Once Justin Bieber came up on stage to perform I was probably the most enthusiastic out of all the fans there, I was screaming, shouting, singing every song, and I even let out a little tear. From then on I was the happiest anyone can be. Then I heard about his My World Tour at Madison Square Garden, but I was in Europe at that time with my grandparents. The year after that (June, 21 and 22, 2011) I heard about winning Meet and Greet Tickets for Justin Bieber at Macy’s on Z100 but of course no hope. On June 22 2011, I heard about him being on the Today Show. I got my group of friends and we planned everything out. The next morning I woke up an hour late but nothing stopped me from going. I briskly got dressed at ran to the train station. Finally June,23, 2011 he came out to the screaming crowd and I was there. Standing behind the barriers to meet him, I was waiting impatiently until he came up to me. My heart stopped for a few minutes and I don’t even remember him signing my paper, and I let out the first few words, “Can I please have a picture with you” and he just stood there and took a breathe and said “Sure” with a smile. Our names are Amanda and Sarah, and we are best friends. We NEVER thought that we would have such an amazing opportunity, and we read this tumblr all the time in jealousy …well not anymore! For all you people reading this right now and thinking that you will never meet Justin Drew Bieber, please don’t. NEVER SAY NEVER…..because we were JUST like you only a matter of days ago. Our Bieber experience started about a week before the day that we met him. We are from Long Island, and when we found out that Justin was going to be in New York City for a couple days we freaked out. Justin was planning to have a meet and greet at Macy’s , so we started to find out if it was possible for us to go. We researched for days, but we couldnt find ANY information about anything exept from one person here and there. We video chatted every night to see if one of us had found anything useful, but each night was another let down. In the process of looking into going to Macy’s we noticed that Justin Bieber was going to be on the Today Show that same exact day. We freaked out (..again) and started to find out how to get tickets and get into seeing him. Sarah found out that the Today Show is at 7:00 in the morning, and it would be almost impossible to get from Long Island to NYC at the earliest hours of the morning. Once again we were devastated. The whole cycle of being upset started all over again, and now we only had about 3 days until Justin was coming to NY. The next day Amanda was talking to her dad about it, and he offered to bring us to the city. We werent really sure if it was even going to be possible to see Justin. Going to Macy’s was out of the question, because Justin had already tweeted about it, and basically every belieber on the east coast was going to be there. The next day was extremely frustrating. Justin had just tweeted more about being in NYC and we were getting seriously stressed over this. That night Sarah went to practice, and Amanda went to twirling, just like a normal night. Amanda’s talked to her dad again about going not to Macy’s but to the Today Show and he said that he was still open to taking them. When Sarah got out of practice she had 5 new messages, 3 missed calls, and 2 new voicmails. Some from Justin’s twitter, but all the rest from Amanda urgently trying to reach Sarah. By the time everything was worked out, it was so last minute, because the show was the next morning, that we just decided to leave early in the morning and Sarah would sleep over Amanda’s house. That night we bought a poster and markers and purple sparkles, the poster said “CURE MY FEVER DR. BIEBER”. We rushed off to bed, because we would be getting up at 3 in the morning. Niether of us slept that night. Of course we got up at 3 and left the house at 3:30 …we got to the city at 4:30 and it was still dark out. In Rockfellar Center we waited on a line on the street for about an hour and a half until we were allowed to go into the set of the show, which was set up outside. Since we were one of the first 30 people on line we got a good standing spot right up against the metal barricades. It was SO fun to meet beliebers just like us, and basically the whole time we talked to them, and it was so easy to relate! The show started at 7 with boring news, and by 8 they were still broadcasting news and weather, so people were starting to get anxious. The forecast said that it was supposed to rain, and if it rained we all knew that Justin would not be coming outside. Our hearts were literally beating out of our chest with nervousness. It was both our second time seeing Justin in person, but we knew that he had changed a lot since the last time we saw him. At about 8:30 people started to scream, they saw him inside. We screamed until we couldn’t talk any longer, and he walked outside. The tears literally came our my eyes within a matter of seconds of seeing him. Everyday we would talk about him and look at pictures of him online, and he was only 10 feet away from us. He was in a good mood, because he went around the whole perimeter of the baricades and signed and took pictures with almost everyone. By the time he was about 5 feet from us, taking pictures with lucky fans and always smiling, the tears were running down our face more that we had ever cried in our lives. We kept turning to eachother and just crying and smiling, because it was the most amazing feeling that we had ever experience in our lives. Justin came around to us and he signed Sarah’s JB pillow with a cute “JB” right on the back. He also signed our poster that we made. Unfortunately we didnt get a picture with him because he was moving so fast . But that didn’t matter, and it still doesn’t matter. It took him a good 20 minutes to get around to almost everybody. In total, we got about 6 texts from different people saying that they saw us on TV. It turns out that we were on TV about 4 or 5 times which was AMAZING. A lady who worked for NBC took a picture of our poster and put in on twitter, we were hoping that Justin would see it. In all, for both of us, with no exaggeration, it was the best day of our lives. My name is Courtney and I met Justin Bieber on August 24, 2010 in Ottawa, ON, Canada. I have been a fan of him since he started posting videos on YouTube in 2007 and have wanted to meet him ever since. 2009 is when me and a close friend entered a couple contests (one on YouTube and one through MuchMusic) to meet him and we sadly had no luck with winning. I found out he was coming to Ottawa on his My World Tour and knew I had to attend. I got the tickets as a gift and decided to bring along my sister to the concert. I was thrilled to be going to his concert and was looking for opportunities to meet him there. The local radio station, Hot 89.9, held a contest called “Show me your Bieber” where you had to show them how much of a Justin Bieber fan you are, and if you won you got to meet him . My parents along with my sister and I decorated the whole front of our house, as shown, and sent in our entry. Hoping for the best. The day finally came where we found out if we had won or not, only a couple days before the concert. There was about 5 minutes of time left before the radio dj’s job was up at going to the winners homes, and I had texted my mother saying “I guess we didn’t win ” just as our doorbell rang. I ran downstairs and opened the door and was greeted by the DJ who handed me a letter. I was so excited. They gave me all the details and as soon as I shut the door I was jumping up and down screaming. We called our mom and she was running through her work screaming that we had won. We were one of five contest winners out of over 5,000 entries. The day of the concert, we arrived and had to wait awhile to get into the meet and greet, waited in a few lines, and I was very anxious. When it was finally our turn, the curtain opened and we walked in and I felt like dying as soon as I saw him. He greeted the group we went in with a, “Hey guys” and then looked right at me and said, “Hey there” as he extended his arm out to put around me. I got right in close, his arm around my shoulder, my arm around and gripping his waist. The moment was fast, but very magical and it was the best moment of my life. My friends dad is a paparazzi and told me that Justin was going to be at the airport at a certain time. My mom, dad and I went, and saw him. My name is Monika and I’m 15 from Georgia. I’ve been utterly obsessed with Justin since I was in 7th grade (early 2009) before he got famous and I’ve literally loved him since day one. I have over 40 posters of him in my room, a life-size cardboard cutout and pretty much everyone who knows me, knows how much I love him. Anyways, I live in Georgia near the area where he is rumored to live, so when I heard he was playing basketball at the local gym 5 minutes away from my house , I really couldn’t believe it even though it was possible. My friend called me and said her sister was texting her friends that were working out and saw him! Since I was home and have a membership to that gym, I figured it couldn’t hurt to check it out. I forced my mom to drive me there as soon as possible and when I got out of the car I ran inside to the basketball courts. It was true! Justin was here, at my gym, playing basketball! I was freaking out beyond belief, except for the fact that employees of the gym were blocking the doors and wouldn’t let anyone take a picture of Justin through the glass doors or even walk by repeatedly. I went to the second floor overlooking the basketball courts. I was so close to him I just had to meet him! I went back downstairs with the other 10 or so girls that showed up for Justin and the guards cleared out a bit. This was my chance. I ran in through the glass doors and went straight up to Justin while he was taking a break. I said I was his biggest fan and if I could please have a picture together. He said no since other girls would want a picture but thank you for asking. I felt like crying and left the court. But then I realized it, I JUST TALKED TO JUSTIN BIEBER! I was the only girl who had the guts to go up to him and it was worth it even without a picture. I fulfilled my dream of finally meeting him, and I know we’re going to meet again when we get married anyways haha. As I walked out, an employee said that if I did that again he would have to ask me to leave the building, but I didn’t care since I just met Justin Bieber. Never say never. Penn Badgley has won the role of Jeff Buckley in a biopic about the singer’s life. The “Gossip Girl” star will play the beloved singer/songwriter in “Greetings From Tim Buckley,” which is set to begin filming in New York City later this summer. The film will tell the story of Jeff Buckley as he preps to play St. Ann’s Church in 1991 during a tribute concert to his father, fellow musician Tim Buckley. “To play a man who was singularly gifted as an artist, greatly misunderstood and mythologized as a human being … It’s something very special and sacred,” Badgley said in a statement about nabbing the part. “I’m going to give all I can to this project.” Though it was originally thought that Badgley was competing with Robert Pattinson for the role, according to The Los Angeles Times, Pattinson was in the running for a completely different biopic about the singer, who drowned at the age of 30 in 1997. While the search for that movie’s Buckley is still under way, the makers of “Greetings From Tim Buckley” are sure about their choice. “We had been searching well over a year for an actor that can come close to Jeff’s spirit while also having the serious musical chops required to authentically tell this story,” Patrick Milling Smith of Smuggler Films, the production company behind the film, said. “Penn’s audition blew us away and we knew we found our star.” The film will be directed by Dan Algrant (“People I Know,” “Naked in New York”). Smith added that the film’s story will show another side of the singer’s life. “In its purest form, this is a father and son story, a rite of passage that is made possible by a romantic journey Jeff finds himself on,” he explained. “We see Jeff accepting who he is to become and laying to rest the ghost of his father while ultimately finding his voice.” Related Artists Jeff Buckley
