By Jocelyn Vena Lindsay Lohan Photo: Marsaili McGrath/ Getty Images After speaking out about a December 12 incident with Lindsay Lohan at the Betty Ford rehab facility, Dawn Holland has dropped her charges against the embattled starlet. The former rehab worker released a statement to TMZ noting that she wouldn’t pursue a case against Lohan. “Dawn will not continue to press charges against Lindsay, nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution,” her lawyer, Kevin Davidson, said. Davidson continued that “a crime has quite simply not been committed by Ms. Lohan.” Holland is reportedly a recovering addict herself and does not want “in any way, shape or form to do anything that would violate Lindsay’s probation or cause an arrest.” E! News reports that while Holland may not be pursuing charges, the Palm Desert Police Department is keeping an investigation into the incident open. “We are continuing our investigation,” the spokeswoman said. “We hope to be done sometime in January.” When asked how Holland would respond if subpoenaed by the police department, her lawyer simply responded “she won’t.” Holland was a technician at the Betty Ford Center and was fired shortly after she gave a video interview in which she discussed the alleged altercation. “She was the only patient out of the three who was being very uncooperative and out of control,” Holland said in the video, explaining that Lohan had been acting defiant at the rehab center. “I did not touch the woman! The singer shared with her little monsters that, come New Year’s Eve, she will have a special announcement for her loyal fans about her upcoming album, Born This Way. She tweeted over the weekend: “Merry Christmas little monsters! I love you with all my heart. My gift to you is a BORN THIS WAY announcement Midnight on NEW YEARS EVE. -MM.” The Mother Monster didn’t reveal anything else about the announcement but did react to a fan-made video sending Christmas love to the superstar. “This is so darling!” she wrote . “You make me so happy, Im sending you monster kisses!” Gaga had always planned to end 2010 on a high note. She shared with Rolling Stone back in June that she had every intention of making an announcement on New Year’s Eve, even if what she had planned to announce was pre-empted. “I think I’m gonna get the album title tattooed on me and put out the photo,” she said of her plans six months ago. “I’ve been working on it for months now, and I feel very strongly that it’s finished right now. It came so quickly. Some artists take years; I don’t. I write music every day.” Since she already revealed her album title at the VMAs , what she plans to announce on New Year’s Eve is a mystery, but we’re sure her fans are counting down the moments. Gaga recently shared that the album will be her “most innovative.” A single is expected in February , and the album will follow shortly thereafter. “[The album is] a marriage of electronic music with major, epic, dare I even say, metal or rock and roll, pop, anthemic style melodies with really sledge-hammering dance beats,” Gaga said. “I think that lyrically this album is more poetic … It’s really written by the fans, they really wrote it for me because every night they’re funneling so much into me. At the ripe old age of 16, the singer has worked with everyone from Sean Kingston and Ludacris to Kanye West and Raekwon. Now it looks like he has found a new collaborator: Chris Brown tweeted that he and the Biebs plan to drop a joint song this weekend. It’s unclear whose album the song is for, but Brown seemed enthusiastic about the collabo. “ME and @justinbieber got a BANGER/SMASH record for all the fans out there at the top of the NEW YEAR!!!” Brown teased. “2011.” Bieber had hinted at a possible collabo with Brown back in October on his Twitter , sharing a thinly veiled message with his fans about a duet with the “Deuces” singer. “Kinda hyped rt now. for a new single teamed up with one of my friends and an artist I used to sing covers of on youtube. BIG RECORD. SMASH!!” He then tweeted a video of himself covering Brown’s “With You.” After Brown’s assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna, the singer hit a personal and professional low. But he seems to be making his way back into the spotlight, with Keri Hilson co-signing his return . “People are already putting [Brown] back in their good graces, ’cause they see his remorse,” Hilson told MTV News. “And I know people are saying, ‘Is he really a man? You have him on your album.’ I mean, yeah. To me, a man is someone, you don’t go backwards in life. You learn from your mistakes, and you don’t do it again. You show remorse, and you move on. You move forward onto bigger and better things. That’s a man trait.” Meanwhile, Bieber has been busy working on new music. At this point, it’s hard to believe Kelsey and Camille Grammer were married for 14 years and may have made a sex tape together. In the latest hiccup in the pair’s relationship, Kelsey has filed to keep Camille away from his retirement and business accounts. According to documents filed by the actor this week, his ex-wife cannot make any unauthorized withdrawals until a divorce judgment is passed. After announcing their divorce on June 28, Kelsey and Camille have gone back and forth in the press. It hasn’t helped that the former is engaged again already. The legal papers in question here state that Kelsey is seeking “an order determining the nature and extent of both employee and non-employee spouse’s interest in employee benefits under the plan, an order restraining claimant from making benefit payments to employee spouse pending the determination and disposition of non-employees spouse’s interest if any, in employee’s benefits under the plan.”

And according to Taio Cruz , working on tracks for the pop star’s next album comes with quite a bit of pressure. “Yes, I am [writing for Justin],” the “Dynamite” singer confirmed to MTV News at Z100’s Jingle Ball on Friday . “I was just recently asked to work for Justin Bieber, so that should be good. “Yeah, he is a big deal,” Cruz added. “I don’t want to disappoint his fans — they can be angry little 12-year-olds. He’s fun. He’s young, so we’ll keep it in the right arena; just fun, young pop music.” So how did the collaboration between Cruz and Bieber come to be? Cruz explained, “Sometimes the label or someone or management will ask me to write something specifically and they’ll give me a few topics, a few things to focus on, and then we come up with ideas.” Not much is known about Bieber’s next album, but Justin did share with MTV News in September that it would “probably [come out] fourth quarter next year.” ” Drake is gonna be on that album ; I’m not sure [who else]. I’m gonna ask him if he can get [Lil] Wayne on there,” Bieber revealed. Aside from writing for Bieber, Cruz said that in 2011 he hopes to have a few more radio hits of his own after an impressive 2010. “I would say next year, just more good songs. Hopefully the fans (and new fans) enjoy the music as much as they are currently,” he said. “I’ve been working with so many amazing people — David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia — and producing more stuff myself, as well.
